Pros: Everything is perfect! Like mini palace. Breakfast was fantastic and all handmade. The family is really friendly and easy-going. Highly Recommend !!!!!!
Cons: No.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything, the hosts are very attentive to details. The place is sparkling clean and the breakfast is delicious. Cannot ask for a better location with 10 mins walk to sidi bu said and being located near lots of good cafes and restaurants near by Really highly recommend
Cons: Nothing really it was an amazing stay in an awesome place
9.3 Excellent
Pros: This is a beautifully decorated old house turned into a hotel. The best is definitely the feeling and the owner family with a lovely story to share with the guests. The breakfast was a nice setting a choice of eggs cooked to your liking, juice, croissants and local spreads. It's not a wide variety but the seating by a big table for all guests is lovely! We were upgraded to a suite with a covered balcony and nice Tunisian decor. This is not a luxury small hotel, but well worth its star rating and excellent value for money!
Cons: The shower needs a touch up!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The bed was comfortable and the breakfast was delicious and fresh
9.5 Excellent
Pros: If you want insight to what mansions in the area look like inside, this place gives you access to that. The owners live in the adjoined house next door, they share some of the common spaces outside, and are some of the most hospitable people I've ever met. The breakfast was amazing, we wanted to go out for breakfast, and saw that they had set everything up for us already and are really glad we stayed. the value for money is unreal, and we got a free room upgrade. There is amazing attention to detail in the renovations, fixtures, and furniture with large, comfortable rooms for sleeping. Am looking forward to visiting for a longer period in the summer.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful building and rooms. The owners are a retired doctor, his wife and son who trained in the hospitality industry. They are clearly proud of their family history, they turned this and a neighboring building into a very grand hotel with lots of personal touches. The family are quite helpful in providing advice about where to go and what to see. There are many public seating areas as well, including one on the roof with a spectacular view that would be great to use in summer. Breakfast was served at a large dining table with the other guests. It featured coffee and tea, juice, pastries and varied breakfast items which were made to order (pancakes, eggs etc.) There are restaurants within walking distance (and some lovely ice cream shops as well!)
Dar Ben-Gacem - Tunis - Building
2
9.2 Excellent (229 reviews)
Overview Reviews
With a stay at Dar Ben-Gacem, you'll be centrally located in Tunis, within a 5-minute drive of Habib Bourguiba Avenue and Carrefour Market. Featured amenities include a 24-hour front desk and multilingual staff.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Great location. Markets, restaurants and touristic area nearby, but it's not too close so it's quiet. Great fresh breakfast. Nice, friendly and very helpful staff. They are passionate to share their recommendations. Pick-up at the airport was perfect, despite it was crazy hour of 3am... Next time, I'd like to order dinner in-house!
Cons: Might not suited for the people who are used to staying at the hotels and expect everything new and clean. If you are after rustic charm, you will get it. :)
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I liked everything about this charming hotel. The location is superb. The staff were remarkable and went above and beyond our expectations to make our stay perfect. They offered to make a reservation for dinner for us and when we were ready to leave to go to dinner, they insisted on having one of the staff walk us through the Medina to the restaurant so that we would be able to find it easily. I was very impressed with the service. The restoration of the hotel has been skillfully and beautifully done. It was decorated with a wide variety of interesting antiques that gave a warm and welcoming feel. Our room was very spacious and lovely. The rooftop terrace would be a comfortable and private place to relax and good weather. The breakfast was ample and the coffee, bless them, was piping hot! That’s a rare accomplishment in Tunisia! Even the milk was very hot. I can’t say enough good things about the charm, location and service in this hotel. What a great value and a wonderful experience
Cons: It’s a minor point, but it would’ve been nice to have a television in the room
6.3 Good
Pros: A lovely Medina property, renovated a little ago with great taste. Some staff very friendly and efficient
Cons: The renovation now feels a bit tired and grubby. The hotel lacks the detailed management attention it needs to sustain its reputation. The wifi was practically non existent throughout my visit. Guests were locked out one day with no one on the premises to open the door (at about 6.00pm). The bathroom was dirty. There were dead plants in the courtyard. The airconditioning struggled (but it was a hot period). On the whole, the breakfasts were very good but on the first day rotten fruit was offered. These issues were raised with staff but there was no management presence.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely staff who speak English and have lots of good recommendations. Room was beautiful although in need of a bit of a refresh. Everything worked and was comfortable.
Cons: I think the breakfast was a bit disappointing.

Cons: Nothing
9.5 Excellent
Pros: We really loved everything. It’s a very charming boutique hotel with a lot of attention to details. Many places to relax, great view from the roof and a beautiful room, friendly staff, great location.
Cons: The breakfast could be slightly more variety; the tour described on their website doesn’t really exist as such.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Perfect location with warm and friendly staff and immaculate old building in the heart of the Medina.
Cons: Because of the thickness of the walls internet is a problem. But that means you get out in the amazing public courtyard or rooftop and mingle with people. It’s lovely.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It was beautiful. In the room you felt like in a small Tunisian Palace. Breakfast was delicious. Everyone there was so nice and took very good care of us.
Cons: The shower could have more water pressure. Everything else great.

9.5 Excellent
Pros: The owners, Faten and Said , where amazing hosts. Very kind, friendly, accommodating and helpful. Much nicer staying with locals than in an impersonal hotel, yet still had my own space and privacy. Hosts even supplied small meals when not expected and didnt ask for payment . Well positioned too.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Heritage hotel Location in old town Comfortable and clean
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful place, friendly owners (even invited us for dinner with their family!!) large bathroom.
Cons: If you don’t leave your room key in the door , they don’t clean your room (there was a lack of communication about this).
7.5 Good
Pros: - room and house looked exactly as nice as on the pictures - breakfast lovely served - staff was open for any help and concerns, very friendly - rooms, bedsheets and towels were very clean
Cons: The major shocking problem for us was really where the courtyard house is located. It’s really in a maze of the Medina which isn’t also the safest place for tourists to walk around. Especially at night we had a hard time getting back, ways of the Souk were closed at night and we had to ask for the right way at every corner (since GPS isn’t working well) where the locals even told us to be careful and hide our stuff cause it’s not safe... that was a pretty shocking experience. Therefore, I wouldn’t recommend to stay if you’re traveling only with girls/ women. BUT if you’re really worried and don’t want to get lost in the Medina in the middle of the night again as we did the staff is looking forward to help you and guide you through.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The house itself is a piece of artwork. As my friend and I were the only two guests at the house, our host kindly gave us a full tour of the house and showed us all five rooms. Each corner of the house is thoughtfully and beautifully designed. Breakfast is different every morning, and nicely presented. At night, we sat on the roof and watched the moon and stars. Although Djerba has a lot to offer, we didn't want to leave the house because it was so beautiful. Our host also was very helpful in recommending restaurants and telling us about the local street art culture. I believe I will return to Djerba and bring more family and friends to Dar Bibine. It is very rare to stay at a place where everything is perfect.

Pros: Best experience stay in Tunisia Every thing was amazing !
9.5 Excellent
Pros: very welcoming...quaint Tunisian house...wonderful breakfast
Cons: hard to adjust water temperature for bath and shower
7.0 Good
Pros: It's cozy and feels more like an AirBnB than a hotel
Cons: The owner's dog kept barking at us, it was annoying
7.5 Good
Pros: My stay was really nice I felt like home, the atmosphere was nice. And I felt the Ramdan spirit around. The place was clean, madame Asma helped me even with my booking problem, she was not only a host she was a good support. And introduced to her mother she was really a kind cheerful lady. I totally recommend for the safety cleanliness it's a good property to recommend. And and it's a calm place that really eases your sleep
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Very nice house and lovely breakfast served in my room. As it is located in a residential area, it was nice and quiet. Staff and owner were really nice and welcoming :-)
Cons: It is located a bit far from everything - not really possible (or pleasant) to reach places by foot. This can be an issue in the evening if you are looking to eat dinner somewhere close by, though there is one pleasant restaurant above the boxing gym close by which I discovered on my third night there. It can be difficult for taxis to find the road where Dar Esma is located, though when I needed her, the owner was available on the phone and helped us out really well :-)
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The host is a very nice and helpful person that made my stay very enjoyable. My room had a good size and was clean. My absolute favorite was the breakfast: homemade jam, omelette and many other things; delicious!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It's a very nice b+b at a strategic place: near to tunis center, the airport, la marsa, sidi bou said and carthage (all with taxi)... I felt very welcome and at home and had an excellent stay. The facilities are nice and clean, the garden is beautiful (nice place to enjoy the breakfast)! The owner loves what she is doing, that you will notice in every little detail and decoration. Moreover she did everything to make my stay comfortable, helped me wherever she could and even showed me around in la marsa. i would certainly recommend dar esma - and nshallah will be back myself one day soon!
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Esma is like a mom for me now. ı dont have enough vocabulary in english to describe how she was nice. Go there, stay with her, feel like at home.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Room and bathroom is very clean and tidy that includes bed sheets and towels. Quite place and friendly host. Breakfast is healthy and with high quality. Easy access to main roads.
Cons: N/A
8.8 Excellent

4.3 Okay
Pros: Best in tunis. However, comparing to other four seasons around the world, it was my worst experience
Cons: Staff need some training, food is below expectation.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Summaya Hammami, Omar, Lotfi and the other amazing stuff
Cons: Nothing
7.0 Good
Pros: Cleanliness
Cons: Service Location
9.3 Excellent
Pros: A great spa with a huge indoor beautiful pool and fantastic gym. Staff was very responsive and dealt with all requests quickly and efficiently.
Cons: This is a very substantial property spread out over a large area. A number of the rooms are centred around internal courtyards and getting lost on the way back to the room was a common occurrence! There were a few issues with the room but these were dealt with immediately by a very attentive staff. Quite pricey room rates especially when considering that breakfast was at an additional charge.
3.8 Mediocre
Pros: The swimming pool was nice.
Cons: The room was not the one requested and paid. No sea view at all, just a wall. The beach too far and not ideal neither. Staff in restaurant and bar confussed and take long every thing to be taken into account. Things needed to asked 3/4 times and still many things were not done. Bad service
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Everything
Cons: The garden is still need more work
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Nice
Cons: The price free high
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent facilities Incredible staff I ll come back next time
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The hotel design is bomb! Attention to detail in all complimentary services, such as hairdryier, shampoos, sleepers, etc. Very nice and attentive staff. Quality food in the hotel restaurants and good room service. The views are simply amazing! recommended to book a room with sea view. Very spacious and clean rooms. Good size closets, comfy beds. Impresive bathroom with shower and bath. Hotel exceeded expectations. I would come back! Location is also great. Right by the beach.
Cons: The only "bad" thing to take into account is that if you go during the Ramadan month, the hotel restaurants are all closed and they only offer buffet dinning at one of the restaurants (the only one open). The buffet is really good and quality food, but if you are not a huge eater, it´s not worth the high price. They should inform guests about the Ramandan month (and less services offered) when you book the room, so you know in advance what to expect.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I have stayed at some great hotels in my life but i must admit this has been by far the best experience! eveyone s so curteous, polite and happy.. always smiling. The front desk staff is exceptional, I checked in at 7 am on May 2nd, i don't remember who was there but i think it was Omar, i was with my mom and son and they were well taken care of. room service staff Rabia and Hamza were GREAT!! i don't know who trained these people on customer service but its beyond my expectations!! They were just wonderful! The hotel is spotlessly clean, the flowers are gorgeous, the spa, the indoor pool every thing in that place is just wonderful... I would definately stay there again! JUST GREAT
Dar El-Màa - Tunis - Bedroom

9.0 Excellent (119 reviews)
Overview Reviews
Located in Le Kram, Dar El-Màa,maison d’hôtes sur la plage is by the sea, a 4-minute drive from St. Louis Cathedral and 12 minutes from French Embassy. Featured amenities include multilingual staff, a library, and microwave in a common area. Limited parking is available onsite.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The house was very nice and clean, working AC and quiet at night. At the balcony one can enjoy the view of the beach. Breakfast wad always waitung for us with croissants, yogurt, fruits and beverages. Friendly staff!
Cons: The location is great to have a sense of local culture and to go to the beach every single day. Only there are not many restaurants or shopping places around. One has to go to the main street to get a taxi. Wifi worked on and off.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: We stayed in suite (as I understand only room with private bathroom) and it was really great. Plenty of space, furniture, spectacular looks, (shared) terrace. Location is great, direct train to Tunis centre (or La Marsa) is 200 m away. Public beach is sort-of maintained, busy with locals, but OK. Woman can use it in "european" swimming suit. There are lot of shops, fast foods around, but don't expect to buy beer there (christophe got two for me :-) .
Cons: Advertised WiFi is not usable in room. Yo have to move to common kitchen to use it. AC is very noisy and can't be used at night. Breakfast is really basic (bread+jam+butter+croissant). Suite is expensive. For 120 EUR/night you can get AI at 4* hotel in Hammamet, but that's price if you need to stay in Tunis at that level. Surroundings are definitly not at house's level. My wife was really not enjoying walking there at night.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Nice place close to the sea. Comfortable room. The maison has a nice garden and a cosy pool. Perfect location during the spring/summer season.
Cons: Nice breakfast but bit simple. Toilet outside the room
3.8 Mediocre
Cons: Booked a sea view room, on arrival tried to put me in a side room, if wanted the sea view would have to pay extra. The location with beach is poor and occasionally noisy, breakfast minimum, no housekeeping services. It was not worth £50 pn
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Wifi, cosy guesthouse, Nice staff
Cons: Location, not very good beach
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly kind family. Beautiful place.
Cons: neighbourhood is noisy and beach is always crowded n not so clean
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The location and property itself are amazing. Right on the beach, and a short walk to the main road or to the light rail stop, so it's easy to get to the sights in Carthage and to Sidi Bou Said. Facilities were nice, there was a communal kitchen to use. Pool and garden were nice as well. Breakfast was good.
Cons: Check-in/arrival time seemed more flexible than it is, and the doorbell doesn't seem to work very well. The wifi didn't work well while we were there, but it appears we were subjected to unlucky timing more than any fault of the owner.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The house is beautifully decorated, the water is boiling hot, the bed is amazing, the sound of the waves as an alarm in the morning is magical, the view outside the seafaced room is just wow!
Cons: Nothing, plus i just dont understand some of the complaining guests and negative reviews written before. I think some people can always find something to complain about, its a pity for themselves :).
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Christophe and Ayette are running a beautiful Bed & Breakfast, they are so kind and helpful that we felt welcomed and like home from the moment we booked (our Email contact was excellent and friendly as well). We enjoyed our room as much as the breakfast, the sea view and the pool. The beach or the train station are only a 4min walk away. We enjoyed our stay very much, thank you!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I loved staying at Dar El Maa. It's beautifully designed, located right on the beach and with easy access to both downtown Tunis and Sidi Bousaid/ La Marsa, its owners are welcoming and easy-going, the pool is awesome, and there's even a very cute and quiet dog.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Felt like home. They were really kind and helpful. Breakfast was very good. Breathtaking views from the room and from the terrace! About location, close to ancient monuments and Sidi Bou Said. 100% Recommendable!
Cons: Nothing.

The guest house offers a terrace. Tunis is 15 km from Carmela, while Gammarth is 10 km away. The nearest airport is Tunis Airport, 11 km from the accommodation.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Carmela! She went out of her way to make me feel welcomed and was a font of information. She is also reasonably close to the airpor, especially if there is no traffic contesting the road. I particularly enjoyed the “Brekkie in bed” at such an early hour (05:45) due to my flight time.
Cons: Location was a challenge for my cabbie. The essential key is to have phone connection for precise instructions, and to turn at the big orange box onto the dead-end road!
6.0 Good
Pros: Do not expect a 5 stars hotel. But mss. owner makes it right. Good price/quality. Take a taxi, its for free.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The hostess stayed up to receive me when my flight came in late and guide my taxi driver by phone when he was lost. It helped a lot that she spoke English.

Pros: The lady was nice and welcoming. Not far from the main road and easily managed to get a taxi at 6:00am in Sunday. Carrefour express was few minutes walking distance and there was a passteri just next to it.
Cons: Room was little small. Unfortunately the internet didn't work but to be fair I haven't informed the renter. I haven't checked the area well, but initial impression is rural.

Pros: An absolutely delightful place to stay! A whole suite with fully fitted kitchen. A lovely pool surrounded by flowers and plants. An enchanting garden/patio where you can enjoy a superb full breakfast that includes home-made cakes, biscuits and yoghurt. The hosts are exceptional in many ways and I am personally indebted to them for offering me such kind assistance in dealing with a medical issue. This beautiful guest house and garden went far beyond my expectations. Both Helene and Mohammed are the perfect hosts and should take pride in their efforts to expand and improve the facilities to a 5-star standard, to be inaugurated in the near future. I will most certainly return.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The house garden, it was amazing!
8.3 Excellent
Pros: We had a comfortable one-week stay in this family run guesthouse, which offers affordable accommodation in Tunis. The guest house is in the process of upgrading its premises with several new rooms with beautiful furniture and views, which will make it an even better option to stay at. The best thing about this guesthouse are however its owners Helene and Mohamed who make an extra effort to make their guests feel at home.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The style of the accommodation is inspired by Andalusian mosaics and the blues and whites of Sidi Bou Said. Family run and professional joint. Had an excellent time getting insider tips from them. Loved it.
Cons: The Wi-Fi was poor.

8.3 Excellent
Pros: Great location, very friendly staff, very clean room and bathroom, feeling like being in home. Very lovely owner (Mrs. Ibtissim and Mr. Khereddine) and very close to famous city bar and restaurant that has very good food and service (Tunis Golf Club)
Cons: Shared bathroom and WC for each two rooms, villa is near airport so in the daylight expect to hear 10-12 planes passing by. My room light was a bit dim at night but not a big issue. Not having safe box and not having slippers in the room so I had to request slippers.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Very charismatic and friendly owners; beautifully adorned rooms; several nice corners for sitting and chatting in shared living room as well as in the private rooms; serene garden. Thus ideal for a little working retreat with a small group of well-acquainted people (the latter because of shared bathrooms).
Cons: As most People mentioned, the only little deficit is the nearby airport, which is on one hand advantageous for quickly reaching the latter for departure; on the other hand the planes pass the guesthouse in a really low altitude and therefore it can at times get quite loud. But as long as one is not too sensitive to noises, this little disadvantage is balanced out by the many positive credentials of the place.
6.3 Good
Pros: Beautiful home
Cons: Could be cleaner, water was not provided upon arrival. Location is far from shops and food
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The location is a bit far but very quiet and comfortable, Very clean room big bed nice breakfast and staff was very friendly

Location isn't central (15 min. taxi to anywhere), but the hosts will always make sure that a taxi driver is waiting for you to take you anywhere, book restaurants and give very useful advice that will help you enjoy your stay. The house is very typical and beautiful, and the rooms are very clean and nice.

Pros: Dar Traki is a wonderful guesthouse tucked away in a quiet corner of the medina of Tunis. The house is incredibly beautiful, with spacious, clean and comfortable rooms, a lovely courtyard and an amazing rooftop terrace. The best thing about this guesthouse is the lovely staff: Roland and Didier were so kind, hospitable and helpful - they made our stay perfect. Breakfast is delicious and it is definitely prepared with love. We felt very safe and happy in Dar Traki - we will definitely stay here again if we return to Tunis!

10.0 Excellent

Pros: The place is in the middle of the Medina which gives you a LOCAL EXPERIENCE!The decoration is traditional and beautiful, rooms clean and comfy, everything feels like home! The staff is super kind and helpful, always with a smile! Bravo! I highly recommend this place!
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Such lovely two brothers who took care of our every need; with fantastic crepes every morning for breakfast, and a wonderful location.
Cons: You have to pay the property with cash when you arrive (no credit card machine or EFT facilities). While they were very accommodating on receiving part-payment every day, this makes it hard to pay for business travellers.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Staff was very friendly, they helped us with all the questions we had. The hotel itself is set in a beautiful traditional house, which make you feel you are far away from the city. The rooms are spacious and have comfortable beds.
Cons: At night it was not always pleasant to walk through the dark alleys of the Medina. However, the main road is really near.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Staff were extraordinary helpful. Went way beyond the call of duty to assist with minor crises.
Cons: Room fans. Mosquito coils or repellent.
7.0 Good
Pros: Charming little guest house, great spot in the medina, and great bang for buck if you're looking for a good deal and don't care about luxury accommodations. Beds are comfortable and staff are lovely and super helpful.
Cons: The place is generally run down, could use an overall makeover (the furniture looks like it's been sitting in someone's grandmother's attic) and a few simple amenities, i.e., more electrical outlets, light switches that work and better lighting in the rooms, better quality matching towels.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff was incredibly helpful and kind. The hotel was in a perfect location and was a beautiful property.
Cons: Hotel was hard to find. A sign on the main street would be helpful.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I had an excellent experience at Dar traki! The staff was wonderful and extremely helpful. They assisted with everything I needed help with. They were very friendly and accommodating. I highly recommend staying at this property for your visit to Tunis!

7.5 Good
Pros: Breakfast was newly prepared every day, fresh orange juice, pancakes and bread and fruits. Later also cheeses and strawberries. Location fabelous , close to Beach, quiet area and beautiful surroundisngs. The place is an old Family villa with traditional furniture etc.
Cons: Problem with smell from sewer system. Sometimes problems with connectivity on the WiFi.
7.0 Good
Pros: The place is nice once you get there. Nicely renovated; very well located between the main beach and the main restaurants or entertainment. The bed was comfortable; and globally speaking, the place does have a good ratio quality price
Cons: VERY IMPORTANT: the location information is wrong, both on the info provided by Booking, and on Google Maps. The supposed street mentioned as address absurdly goes around a full block of buildings in several directions. And another building has a big number 9. I spent half an hour trying to find the place house to house, in an almost deserted residential area. And there was no telephone attention whatsoever. A bad experience on arrival, which risked ruining the whole weekend
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Great Location, Great Friendly staff, it has a genuine La Marsa look and feel, breakfast is homemade and delicious, Clean and quite. in a bit: it's a great location for those who seek some quite time.
Cons: Staff only speak French, one of them speak a little bit of English, but it's hard to communicate if you're not speaking French. and this is for me only and those who are like me: the neighborhood is not well lit and full of dogs, so it's hard to get to the place with a clear thought if you have some fear of dogs.

Pros: The house is charmingly decorated, clean and tidy Meliassa and stefano were very helpful Stefano went to the market to bring fresh croissant for us for breakfast. Thank you
Cons: I love to drink good coffee . There was a not tasty black coffee and when i asked for the capsules for the machine they have. It was finished and there was no cheese no egg for breakfast but thanks to stefano he prepared tea and brought fresh croissants. Thank you
6.3 Good
Pros: The place is really beautiful: with many different areas decorated in a islamic/eclectic way that makes you feel in a tiny palace. Is very near the beach so is very calm, windy and quiet. Excellent for relaxing purposes. The breakfast was very good but almost the same every day.
Cons: When we arrived we didn’t feel very welcomed and we are not that exigent guests. We respect the people who works there and say thank you every time we need something. But we have to ask for everything! even the wi-fi password because there’s wasn’t any indication in the room. There’s wasn’t a protocol of service I think. The room they give us was very nice, but there was an unpleasant smell from the bathroom that didn’t stop even after we used it. We even have to kill some cockroach both in the bathroom and the room itself. The bathroom wasn’t specially clean and there where a dim light hanging from the roof.

8.8 Excellent
Pros: The location and staff were great.
Cons: Common bathrooms don’t allow for privacy.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The room I had was GORGEOUS and HUGE. I had a hand-carved arch above the couch and hand-painted tiles all around the beds. The most unique and beautiful sleeping arrangement I've had. My friend got slightly less lucky as hers was plainer but both rooms were clean and in good order.
Cons: I would have loved to have had non-instant coffee in the morning but the older couple that served breakfast were so sweet that and friendly that I wasn't THAT bothered by it. What did suck was that the little rooms where the toilets were located were so small that I could only sit down with my knees raised. I'm tall though, so that's not a problem most will run into.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: We were a family of 4 and initially wanted to stay for 1 night and ended up extending another 2 nights. Very welcoming atmosphere, nicely decorated rooms and super polite and friendly staff. Shout out to Yusef the receptionist for his sense of humour and his friendliness!

If you would like to experience true Tunisian hospitability, I think you are at the right address. You can easily reach the city center with a less than 10 minutes walk, passing through the historical center Medina, the breakfast food is very nice, the bathrooms were clean and smelling fresh all the time and the inside decoration of the hotel and the rooms was truly authentic. They also offer shuttles to and from the airport for 10 euros. Five stars!
