Modern clean and very comfortable at a good price, very easy to find and good for en route stays
It,s a very relaxing hotel, clean, large comfortable rooms, good service, excellent breakfast.
The room each week is excellent, clean and very modern...I would say best hotel Ive stayed in for such a reasonable price no
Staff were very helpful, good location from auto route The secure car park was breached by thieves
Close to Motorway. Very modern facilities, especially for the disabled.
New, stylish, functional and exceptionally clean. The hotel is at the Spanish/French frontier and is in an area designed for overnight stop for international transport lorries. Therefore it is not very attractive. But the hotel itself is attractive.
The hotel is very modern and welcoming It's location is very convenient but what an awful place, a huge service station with lorries everywhere and the road exits are hard to find.
Very happy with quality of accommodation only comment I would make is when booking the hotel the description for the location lead me to believe it was in a. National park not an industrial estate
Friendly staff, squeeky clean room, location away from the main motorway Breakfast room set up was pretty basic
The position of the hotel to Autopista was excellent , but no noise. The rooms were very spacious and clean. Very very good value .Highly recommend as a mid way stop .
Easy to reach by the main road. Too hot. No air condition and no windows to open.
Really excellent position after a long drive across France enroute to our home on the Costa Blanca. Have stayed here before and enjoyed it again.
Spacious, comfortable room. Convenient situation for our particular journey. Did not have its own restaurant or bar--only the motorway self service restaurant. We felt completely trapped in the middle of a motorway with no access to other facilities. The hotel is in effect "room only".
Attitude and help of the receptionist. Incredibly vast bed!
The receptionist was very helpful and welcoming. The garages were useful to give a sense of security for the car. I was unaware that the hotel was in the service area of the stop and came off at the junction so ended up having to go back towards Barcelona the next day rather than heading onwards to France! This should be mentioned in the description.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. The motel is only accessible from a toll road, the internet use is intermittent, a smell of sewage invades the rooms (apparently when the wind is from a certain direction), the shower head is blocked with calcium buildup.
Easy to find, quick and easy check in. I checked in with pets. The door to the room could have done with some insulation so stop my dogs barking at every noise outside the room. I think the hotel had tiled floors throughout which meant you could hear every wheeled suitcase clacking along the tiles along with the lady wearing stiletoes above us. Once everyone seemed to be checked into their rooms (approx 11pm), the night was quiet and peaceful.
The way in which the staff were so helpful, nothing was to much trouble for them. I would like to add that due to a fault with our car we had to cancel our stay on the return journey but on contacting the hotel they were so understanding and the cancelation was accepted with a no fee having to be paid.
Jonquera was the main factor for using the hotel due to the distance from Barcelona. The location en route north should be highlighted on the booking form - we had to travell south after leaving the hotel in order to continue north. Breakfast (at 9.30) was disappointing. Only scrambled eggs (which were very old / black) were available as a hot breakfast.
The hotel staff were very friendly, especially the receptionist, who couldn't do enough to accommodate our needs. Although reported by other guests, I had no trouble getting to the hotel when travelling towards France. There is an underpass to the left of the petrol station.
It was very calm. Only one chair for two people to sit on is a difficult task. No elevator and two nasty flights up.
clean , good price
On entering the lobby it was plush and it smelt lovely and so did the room and it was so very clean, relaxing colours and peaceful balcony. Its situated in a very busy shopping street which is probably why its there but parking could perhaps be a problem.
nothing special the restaurant was closed, the room was cold when we came there.
Allways our nightstopp on our way to and back from Malaga No, exept maybe the parking situation
The owners were very helpful and the food was excellent value
Everything. The staff was all very nice and helpfull. La Quadra is a very nice place if you just want to relax. Only a couple og the waiters could speak a little english. The rest of the staff could only speak spanish or french. The town only has a couple of small shops, but you can get what you need.
Excellent hotel with friendly staff and fantastic location. A hidden gem
The Hotel was excellent, the staff extremely helpful and friendly they couldn't do enough for us to make the stay enjoyable. We would definitely stay there again and would recommend it to all our friends. The area itself was also very beautiful but lack of time and the weather unfortunately precluded us from taking full advantage but next time. None really = I would advise against using a Sat-Nav from finding the Hotel. We came from the north and our friends from the South and neither instrument used the quick and easy road from the N.11a which even sign posts Macernet de Caberyns.
Wonderful, enchanting hotel in a unique setting, run by a very charming, attentive and professional family. Wonderful hosts. Newly renovated generous rooms. The breakfast is hearty, tasty, and offers a large variety of high quality local products. Most surprisingly for a hotel's restaurant, the cuisine is excellent, featuring many local specialities. Good local wine selection, very decent prices. Overall, a very good value for the money. We don't understand why this place has only 2 stars. This is not negative at all, we just want to mention that some other comments were complaining about the narrow access streets. Yes, indeed, this hotel is located in the heart of a medieval mountain village, so don't expect wide boulevards to lead you there. But we've been there with a Toyota Hilux 4x4 truck, and we cold get to the hotel without trouble. Other guests were driving large vans. In exchange, the hotel's parking is large and for free.
the personal were very nice and kind, good service, good cuality no
Good budget hotel right next to the motorway at La Jonquera. Good restaurant next door.
relaxation Could have done with extra pillows
location near french border
Pleasantly surprise by the hotel and facilities
Location, reasonable price, easy parking, ok room, nearby restaurants and bars. Good place for an overnight stay if travelling late from Girona airport towards France, but not a holiday location.
Excellent, clean and relaxing Nothing at all
we ate at the 'buffet volonte' in the evening so we were able to eat and drink as much as we wanted to and then went up to our hotel room - no worries about being stopped for a breathaliser
