Riomar is located in the centre of the historic part of Lagos inside the city walls. The beach and shopping area is within walking distance as well as the historic museums and bars. The charming rooms have recently been refurbished in a very traditional and comfortable fashion. They are equipped with air conditioning satellite TV work desk direct-dial telephone bathroom with hair dryer and security safe box. There is only a breakfast room. However many restaurants nearby. The hotel is a traditional building for the area. The hotel has a small size lobby which leads to the bar. Traditionally decorated also. Traditional hotel with a great location for one to discover the city whistle having access to all main amenities. Good Value for Money.
Ask for higher floors, the view over Old Town is terrific!!
The breakfast can be enriched a bit, although the view compensate it all!!
I liked the breakfast, room was clean and the wiev was also good. The beach was not so far from the hotel.
The elevator was interesting... There was no parking place before the hotel. The pub next to the hotel was noisy and it was impossible to sleep.
The hotel was nice, large rooms, clean, the hotel was situated exactly in the center.
The only problem is the parking that is small and full, and it's hard to find a parking place nearby.
The staff has been really friendly and helpful. Everyone really tried to fulfill all upcoming wishes and requests. Our room was quiet and far away from any noise, even when the window has been left open.Breakfast was more than sufficient especially regarding the low price.
Close to town centre and amenities but also to some rather noisy late-night bars. Basic accommodation but cheap and cheerful, helpful staff, clean enough and an adequate breakfast included. By no means perfect but still excellent value for money if using as a base to explore this most attractive town and coast.
Th noise from the late-night revellers leaving the bars at 2: or 3: AM. The bath was simply unusable as such but as a shower just about adequate.
Location in Largos
Bathroom was in need of maintenance
convience of being able to walk to most things nearby, Evening Desk Attendent was very courteous and nice. The Hotel was nice for the price once we found it.
Very noisy at night, no parking, although it was listed as having 5 spaces, several of the spaces were taken by employees. It was very difficult to find this Hotel inside the City walls. So glad we did not just park and try to carry all our luggage through the streets. It would really help to that upon getting a confirmed reservation that detailed directions and parking areas be sent. Also, the TV in the rooms did not have the same amount of channels as the Lobby TV, the one in the rooms had a very very limited amount of channels.
Location was perfect
Room smelled musty and the bathroom was dirty.
good clean freindly service and good value for money
Great location if you want to hear drunk backpackers all night or indeed if you are a drunk backpacker. It is ideally located amoungst all the action.
Only 4 car park spaces for this town centre hotel, would be a nightmare for a family with kids and alot of baggage to get to the hotel through winding streets. Prehistoric (American style key cylinder) door lock system which provides neglible security. General feel that a refurbishment is urgently required.
