10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very convenient off Hwy 5. Nice restaurant next door. Clean comfortable rooms. Nice breakfast and great staff
8.0 Excellent
Pros: TV and Internet access was great. It was nice to see a great channel lineup.
Cons: Breakfast staff were a bit narky. While checking eggs, one of them sarcastically remarked, "yes its eggs, everybody looks at the eggs to see if they are eggs". Not sure that was appropriate to say. My key card became inoperable after the second day and the front desk insisted I deactivated my key card by keeping it close to my wallet. Problem was, my wife's key card was deactivated as well and didn't have it next to a wallet. By insisting we deactivated it through some sort of action or fault was not appropriate. Recommend your staff take a few lessons in service courtesy rather than be a bit narky or sarcastic with customers.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Our room was very clean had extra towels.
Cons: Pretty awesome for the price I consider it to be a 3 star not 2.5. I was a little hesitant at first but definitely exceeded my expectations. Breakfast was the good, the cook there cooks for different tastes which I thought was cool.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Food was satisfactory. Coffee was GREAT! The place is very clean and has TV stations galore!
Cons: We had to unplug the room refrigerator. The constant cycling on and off was annoying. Problem solved. Also, the automatic fan in the bathroom was noisy so sometimes we just turned on the heat lamp. We could still see without the noise.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: very friendly and clean
3.3 Mediocre
Pros: The front desk staff was friendly
Cons: I was traveling with my 3 small children. Our total time driving by the time we got to the hotel was 7 hours. The first room we were given was absolutely infested with fleas!!! My daughter started screaming because her feet were covered in fleas in a matter of seconds after entering the room. We rushed back down stairs, me holding my 7 month old as my 5 and 3 year old were still trying to get fleas off of their feet! I threw the babies blanket in the garbage and we went to the front desk. All I wanted to do was get out of there but This was during the fair so I didn’t think there would be any other hotels available and the last thing the kids wanted to do was get back in the car. They gave us another room on a different floor. The room looked clean so we went to the car to get our things. Just before bed. I noticed the bed spread had dog hair on it, the sheets and other blankets looked clean so I took the bed spread off, gave the kids a couple of blankets that we brought from home and let them watch a movie. The beds are not as comfortable as other places I have stayed but I did like that they put 4 pillows on each bed. The second night, I went into the hall to get a bottle of water. The vending machine was out of water so I took the stairs to the second floor and it was also out of water so I went to the lobby to get it. On my way back to my room I was in the stairwell just entering the hallway when I was a little startled because as I went through the doorway there was a man with his large dog in the hallway as well. It was a pretty dog but the man held the leash very tight and immediately started to head the other way as if the dog was not friendly. I was happy I did not take my small children with me just to find a bottle of water.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We will be back soon!
Cons: The staff were friendly very helpful and prompt with every request we made from toiletries a shower chair. I want to send a special thank your to the two young women that cooked breakfast on Saturday and the one who cooked on Sunday (8/3 and 8/4 2019). The food was amazing the service wes even better. The hotel was very very clean from the pool area to the toilets every thing sparked. The beds were wonderful and the little couch was so comfortable one of my party choose to sleep on it for the duration of our stay. From the location to the breakfast to the pool, workout. Recreation area the value was amazing! The location was perfect we could walk to the Mother Earth News Fair and that was what we were in town for. We were also in a great location for food, safety and freeway access. When we left my party were all talking and one said can we book our room here for next year right now. The other exclaimed that "the 'Comfort' is probably the nicest hotel/motel I have every stayed" (he is 74 so it was saying something).
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Price and location
5.0 Okay
Pros: Liked the full hot breakfast.

8.0 Excellent
Pros: Location is great. Breakfast was good, coffee was wonderful...
Cons: Facilities totally met my/our needs.
4.0 Okay
Pros: Real breakfast, large room
Cons: Noise... the hotel is about 40' away from the I-5 interstate and my room was on the freeway side of the hotel, so I slept poorly. It would probably be OK if you specified a room on the opposite side.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Always the best accommodations and value
8.0 Excellent
Pros: staff was helpful and nice. Beds and other furnishings in room were well maintained. Hotel is close to many places to eat; one is across the street.
Cons: The only thing that was a big negative was the road noise. The hotel is right next to I-5 and sits up a bit from the highway. The road noise was bad for our room facing the highway.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The front dest guy - someone said his name was Isaiah. He was nice and friendly and treated us like family. Rooms were quiet and comfortable. The location was right near everything.
Cons: Elevator could use some maintenance - its jerky
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The location is great. I traveled for work this time but in times past the have been great when we traveled with our dog.
Cons: Can’t think of anything else.
7.0 Good
Pros: Hotel was clean and well kept. Standard decor for this price range and appears to have been renovated not too many years back. Nice pool for kids.
Cons: Right next to interstate so not the quietest. And I got that “don’t leave anything valuable in the car feeling” because of the location. Their neighbor is an Adult Shop, so that’s a bit sketch.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff was outstanding!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was outstanding. Location was excellent for our stay (wedding). Room was outstanding - large, clean and very comfortable. Wish we could have stayed longer.
4.5 Okay
Pros: Location was good. Breakfast was fine. Bed was comfortable.
Cons: Staff was adequate at best. No movie channels. Price was high for quality of accommodations.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Throughout the stay, the staff was very friendly. The room was very clean and comfortable. The location of the hotel is extremely convenient, being right off the highway, and within walking distance of Denny's, Home Depot, and an Adult Store (if you're into that kind of thing. ;-P)
Cons: When initially checking in, there were three staff members behind the desk - two on the phone and one working on a computer - there were two people ahead of me, who had had time to strike up a conversation while waiting to be acknowledged. Checking in took approx. 20 minutes. The breakfast was a standard "Continental Breakfast" with not a lot of options and I started taking the stairs because the elevator made some suspicious noises when in use.

8.8 Excellent
Pros: We have stayed at Best Western Albany before a few times and we like it. The location is excellent especially near the Park across the street with all of the space. Perfect for someone with a pet. The rooms are everything we need and the Staff is excellent. I would just point out one thing we noticed this trip with the door to exit at the rear of 2nd Floor. It sticks a little when it opens, one has to almost yank it modestly to get it to work. Also that same door closes a little fast which tends to whack if people aren't ready for it. This is not a complaint just an FYI for your building. It didn't effect us in anyway that was negative and we will stay there again when we need to be in Albany. Thanks to the Staff for all of the hard work.
Cons: Please see above

Pros: We didn't know they have breakfast there so unable to comment on that. The process for check in and check out was easy, the staff friendly and the location easy to find and close to restaurants. Would definitely stay there again.
Cons: The room was a little dated but for the price it was fine. Comfort is more important than style so honestly there really wasn't anything that we didn't like. My husband is a smoker so I wish that there was a designated "smoking area" because tho there was ashtrays thruout the property they were close to other peoples rooms and wouldn't want to make nonsmokers uncomfortable with the smell of ciggerette smoke.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Handy, clean, good value
Cons: Chips in sink, flaws in mirror
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It was great. I lost my key card and they were quick and helpful to replace it. I don't drink coffee so can't rate that.
Cons: Nothing

Pros: The room was very spacious and we liked the mini kitchen with fridge and microwave. Very clean! Great location for us going to the Jamboree in Sweet Home.
Cons: No breakfast.
5.5 Okay
Pros: The room itself was clean, comfortable, in good condition, and stocked with the usual amenities.
Cons: Bait and switch on "jacuzzi rooms" Office staff socially awkward and incompetent. Stole half our deposit for paying cash. Threatened to keep the other half of the deposit because we didn't gather ALL of our take-out trash into bags or trashcans.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Availability of a smoking room. we
10.0 Excellent

8.0 Excellent
Pros: Easy to find
Cons: Jacuzzi was not working
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The amenities like the microwave and shower were nice for the price &the front desk staff (Janine) was very pleasant and helpful.
Cons: The room smelled of dog and the bathroom smelled like mildew, but nothing a little febreze and fresh air didn't fix.
7.0 Good
Pros: Close to my buyer calls.
Cons: My Room was close to the freeway and I heard traffic most of the night.
6.3 Good
Pros: Good choices for breakfast. Very good location to the Fair Grounds Event.
Cons: The carpet was dirty and we had to wash our feet after walking bare foot. The shower had mold on the tile and the grab bar.
1.0 Poor
Pros: The staff was nice
Cons: The room was gross. There were cobwebs in the corners of the bathroom door. Upon arrival, we found hair all over the bathroom floor, pee on the toilet seat, and a small bit of fecal matter in the toilet. Pretty gross. Bums sleeping in the parking lot.
3.8 Mediocre
Cons: The jacuzzi isn’t working which is why we booked here. We switched rooms 3 times to get a clean room with working ac only to get a room that smells like cigarette smoke but at least it’s cleaner and had working ac. Did I mention it’s right on the freeway so the noise is very loud.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Room was quiet.
Cons: The email about needing $200 in cash at check in was disconcerting.
7.5 Good
Pros: Good breakfast
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff was friendly and helpful. Room was clean and comfortable.
Cons: The "hot tub" was the size and depth of a children's yard pool.
6.3 Good
Pros: Easy to find
Cons: Older property with Gary Old on comfortable mattresses. Room could’ve been cleaner
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast had good choice for being free. Ths beds were comfortable.
Cons: The only thing I didnt like was that the pool really wasn't cleaned out... my daughter found a band aid in the pool.
3.8 Mediocre
Pros: I enjoyed the pool
Cons: Only reason I picked hotel was because it advertised a jacuzzi and I was there for 9 days and was told several times that they would have it working and it was never fixed I was very disappointed if they had told me before they charged me for my full stay on the day I checked in then I would have found another place to spend my vacation . Also the hotel could use a better brand of coffee it was not at all good had to go next door every morning to McDonalds and purchase my coffee.

7.0 Good
Pros: Large room with enough room for their table and chairs to sit comfortably. We like to bring our own food when we travel so the fridge and microwave were nice. However, the freezer compartment could have been defrosted of it’s ice buildup.
Cons: Could use an upgrade to the bathroom.
6.0 Good
Pros: Free breakfast! And there is a field nearby for the dog to run and use the bathroom.
Cons: This was far away from any civilization, rooms were dirty and smelled weird.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: If you are doing different sites in diff directions, this is right in the middle of every where and good value for money.
Cons: Need better wifi.
7.5 Good
Pros: Complimentary breakfast with ur room was free and very good
3.3 Mediocre
Pros: Not much the toilet was broken the shower was moldy
Cons: The toilet broken moldy shower and staff kinda rude
5.0 Okay
Pros: It was clean and the fridge was very cold
Cons: The place is very old and outdated. The beds were hard and even though there were 3 pillows, they were flat and old. The room smelled strongly of moth balls which was nauseating.
5.0 Okay
Pros: The room was large. It was quite and comfortable to the point that I overslept. And I was happy to have a refrigerator in the room.
Cons: Vacuum the carpet under the beds.
4.3 Okay
Pros: Outdoor pool beside our room, the 11 year old grandkids loved it. Restaurant on site was convenient. Room was large.
Cons: Check in person was surly. Room was full of tiny ants. They crawled over me all night, very unsettling. Breakfast was by coupon in the restaurant and although of acceptable quantity and fair quality we prefer buffet style. The motel is clearly of older vintage, maybe late 60's early 70's, and it shows.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We stay there for August music concerts and it is located in a good spot for us. Like the restaurant, bar and pool.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This is a convenient place to stay for our event that we attended. The hotel is older but the upkeep is great. The hot tub is like bath water other than that it is an excellent place to stay. The free breakfast is nice in the restaurant
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location and hospitality
6.8 Good
Pros: Love the white sheets and coffee maker also love loved the location but just a little too far although I did like the driving experience going and coming to the location
Cons: Maybe adding a little fridge to cool things

6.7 Good (101 reviews)
Overview Reviews
Located in Albany, Valu Inn is within a 5-minute drive of Timber-Linn Memorial Park and Linn County Expo Center. Free self parking is available onsite.
5.0 Okay
Pros: If you're a traveller - location is good, just few meters from freeway #5
Cons: I had a room on the second floor with kingsize bed. Room was really awful. 1) Dirty - breadcrumbs on the table, spider's nets on corners and lamps, dust everywhere! 2) The main issue is smell. I felt the smell of asbestos, I couldn't sleep well despite window was open and A/C worked on full power. I waked up at 5 a.m. and decided to leave this facility immediately. 3) Bathroom: towels have stains, whole sink is covered by rust.
6.8 Good
Pros: The bed was very comfortable and Inn was close to shops & restaurants and highway. Very quiet.
Cons: The toilet seat had a bit of wee on it and the bowl hadn’t been cleaned for a while. No working power points available, so I unplugged the microwave to charge my phone.
3.0 Mediocre
Pros: Ummm it was close to Burgerville
Cons: Everything, it was very dirty there were tweakers outside out window all night. When we tried to take a shower there was only scorching hot water so we physically could not shower at all.
1.0 Poor
Pros: Close to the fair grounds and freeway.
Cons: The old saying, "You get what you pay for" comes to mind. I have gone to Hotels and motels at the same price. This was not that clean and I was very much not impressed. Seedy.
5.0 Okay
Pros: The staff were nice.
Cons: The room was very outdated and not that clean. Found some trash under the dresser. And it smelled like smoke even though I was in a no smoking room. Yuck.
4.5 Okay
Pros: The staff did everything they could to address issues, even offering a full refund if we wanted to leave. However, due to an event, there were no equivalent properties available.
Cons: The room was substandard. One of two lights didn't work and the room was very dark. The refrigerator door shelf rail was made of duct tape and freezer needed defrosting. There was no phone in the room when we arrived. The hair dryer, coffee maker, and flat screen promised on the site were not available (although they did find me a very old hair dryer). Coffee (but no tea or decaf) was available in the lobby, but not until 7:30. No internet. The bathroom threshold wasn't fastened, so the bathroom door didn't shut. The shower was pretty disgusting. Beds were uncomfortable with flat pillows. There was one uncomfortable chair and no table in a double room. There was no working icemaker on the property, although there was an ice bucket in the room. We were put in a smoking room that reeked of stale smoke. Door had to be slammed shut and wasn't fully closed by housekeeping. The website doesn't come close to adequately reflecting the poor condition of the property.
2.5 Mediocre
Pros: Nothing
Cons: Run down. No fridge no microwave old tv barely worked. Wi-Fi signal poor. Too expensive. Air conditioner held together by who knows what.
4.3 Okay
Pros: Location..easy to find off I 5.
Cons: Ice machine & laundry facilities out of order since Feb. Had to wake hotel manager for coffee at 7:30. No water pressure in shower. Shabby
6.3 Good
Pros: Location.
Cons: Lack of maintenance Ice machine out of order (no in-room refrigerator). Bathroom sink broken and rusty. Several lamps not working. Small dog constantly yapping (I believe it belonged to an employee.)
4.5 Okay
Pros: The shower had hot water and there weren't any noticeable cockroaches.
Cons: One of the lights didn't work in the room. The blanket gave me a rash on any exposed skin. The handle for the shower was a hazard and the floor of the shower stall looked like it hadn't been cleaned between guests.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff
Cons: Condition

6.3 Good

Cons: Staff was not helpful. Overpriced for the age of the facilities.
7.5 Good
Pros: Located right in town and centrally located. Property is dated but clean
Cons: Air conditioning didn’t work
5.0 Okay
Pros: walking distance to walmart and a Shari's restaurant
Cons: This is a very very basic motel. the approach to it from sweet home had us very worried - looks very unfinished and sad. The sheeets are thread bare and the towels are grey and dingy. We ran out of toilet paper and there was no extra roll and when we tried to get the manager in the morning they didn't answer the door.
5.0 Okay
Cons: The bed wasn't made, TV had to be fixed before watching Shower door rusty , mold. Didn't want to take shower there. walls needed painting. I would not recommend this motel !
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Room was clean and bed was comfortable.
Cons: No cable.
7.1 Good
Pros: The staff were very nice and the grounds were clean.
Cons: The shower door didnt latch so when I started the water, it leaked out and caused a mess! I had to use all the towels just to dry the floor. Then, the shower head is very poor quality and beats you to death, nothing relaxing about it. I would strongly suggest replacing the shower heads and door latch.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Perfect place to eat across street good beer and food!
Cons: No complaints the staff directed me to eating at a great sports pub .
8.8 Excellent
Pros: I liked the staff. They were very nice and helpful.
Cons: The room was nice along with the staff but it could be cleaner then it was. On the other hand I'm a neat freak. The beds were comfortable and every thing else was good. I think they should update the picture they have on line because it shows and old tv but they actually have large flat screens. The price was very reasonable and I would stay there again..
7.0 Good
Pros: Friendly manager, she was to the point and very polite. Room was quiet, even being close to the street.
Cons: The room needs major service work to even get up to code. Electrical outlet issues, and missing bulbs. No fan or window ventilation in the bathroom. Front door didn't shut correctly. Refrigerator was not working correctly, (Bad gasket) No Ice at this motel.
7.0 Good
Pros: Motel was clean and bath was upgraded from original. Room was large enough for two people on a budget.
Cons: This property is a 1950's era roadside motel with no amenities and you can't hide that fact.
6.3 Good
Pros: It was a roof over my head after 500 miles on the road.
Cons: Shower was gross, so out of code it’s not funny, furnishings were dilapidated and so on.

3.3 Mediocre
Cons: Room was dirty and smelled bad. Towels were stained with what looked like feces. Cigarette burns on bedding, and mattress was like sleeping on a rock.zp
9.3 Excellent

Cons: The fluorescent light in the bathroom REALLY flickered prior to coming on. Should change out to LED bulbs.
2.5 Mediocre
Cons: Bed was uncomfotabel dor would not lock bathroom to small
9.5 Excellent
Pros: It was a standard old style motel which suited our purposes. We were not there for luxury vacation, just a place to shower, rest and get ready for the next work day. It was perfect for our needs, the staff was friendly and helpful and it was good for our pocketbook. We would stay there again.
5.0 Okay
Pros: Price, price
Cons: Very dirty and out dated
7.5 Good
Pros: Close to where family lives
Cons: N/A

5.0 Okay
Pros: They were very accommodating when we added an extra person to our reservation.
Cons: While it was obvious they were undergoing renovations, there is no excuse for cobwebs in a room. We ended up buying our own soap because the soap provided was useless. I realize it was a "budget" inn, but these kinds of things are the minimum of what one would expect to find in an establishment of this type.
3.0 Mediocre
Cons: Beds were dirty and stinky. Place needs lots of work. Front desk is not welcoming.
5.5 Okay
Pros: Very nice friendly proprietor
Cons: Electricity went out. Dead bolt didn't work on door.
2.5 Mediocre
Cons: There were blood stains on the sheets, snot and boogers all over the shower.
3.0 Mediocre
Pros: Nothing
Cons: Looked like a place you would rent by the houre
4.3 Okay
Pros: That it was available and the weekend was mostly out of the room. Near food places and shopping. Plenty of parking
Cons: Old and dated. Rear patio a complete disaster. Staff very informative as to if we did no like anything we could leave. Thin towels. Hard beds. Mosquitos in room, never got rid of them. Hard to get hot water in sink. Tub felt like was loose - if I had been on 2nd floor I would have change rooms. But we were first floor, I wasn't going to fall thru.
4.5 Okay
Pros: Friendly and helpful desk attendant, who willingly replaced the toilet seat on day 2 because it was falling off.
Cons: Filthy and run down beyond anything you can imagine. Badly in need of paint, carpet cleaning, and replacement of the threadbare and dirty towels and sheets, and seemingly no heat at night.
3.8 Mediocre
Cons: The site is under need of repair, and a house keeper. The room was not clean, extremely filthy. You could not plug anything in.
3.0 Mediocre
Pros: I did not like anything. The room smelled like smoke and the room was dirty...heater was really loud and did not work well
Cons: The room smelled like smoke and the room was dirty...heater was really loud and did not work well. The room was not lit well.
3.8 Mediocre
Pros: The room was large no other tenants close to local parks and lakes as well as restaurants and a liquor store. Close walk to everything or a short drive. Don’t have very many good things to say about the place.
Cons: Cleanliness was at a low floors needed sweeped carpets needed vacuumed, sink leaks showers covered in mold , ac has no buttons and is duct taped together, WiFi was spotty. room smelled of cigarettes found someone else’s hairs on the sheets as well as bed bugs, staff were rude charge 20 per day for any guests and request you turn off the lights and ac if you arnt inside the room, room service will abruptly walk in after knocking once, they don’t offer do not disturb signs until they interrupt you, pictures are misleading courtyards a mess and resembles nothing like the pictures and is covered in junk.
5.7 Okay
Pros: Found bedbugs. Them into a cup and gave it to manger. He said he would look into it. Checked out 4 hours after checking in and wasn't given a refund or even a discount.
