The area is quiet and peaceful, even though it is convenient to the main road. The rooms are very comfortable and the staff were friendly and helpful. I would have liked to have spent more time here as it was very relaxing. We had visited Colditz Castle for the day and thought this was a better location to stay the night. Nothing.
Very good atmosphere - very comfortable & friendly efficient staff - would stay again if in the area Nothing to dislike !!!
Spotlessly clean; comfortable rooms; friendly, helpful staff and very reasonable price. Location in the town is excellent and parking is free. Nothing; the hotel met or exceeded our expectations in every regard.
It had everything you would want from a hotel. It was a lovely location and it had good facilities. No complaints. The only thing it did not have was tea/coffee facilites which some people may miss.
This hotel was clean and friendly with good size rooms. The location was quiet and there was a private car park for the hotel. The owners spoke good english. Breakfast was good. There is no restaurant or bar, but there is a small bar next door. A small town with not much happening, but a good location to travel around from.
Our welcome was first class, we were shown to our secure undercover parking for our motorcycles The owner who spoke very good English and is a biker himself then showed us to our room which was both spacious and very clean. Breakfast was excellent sat on the balcony as the weather was hot, the small town is a five walk away which on a hot day as it was has a fantastic outdoor swimming pool.
on arrival,we were a bit late but what a welcome wow,the rooms, massive, the breakfast plentiful, with fresh fruit eaten in a conservatory,,subject to weather, the shower and bathroom, sparkling (the shower hard to leave) the staff, friendly and help-ful,oh,if the weather fine, eating al -fresco,I should add, altogether a pleasant week-end not a lot to do in the evenings, but a real handy pub on site
Very nice staff. They quickly accomodated our request to move to lower floor because of the heat. If you are coming in the summer and the forcast is calling for high tempatures, you might want to consider bringing a fan.
This is an inexpensive hotel - and judged against the price I paid it was good value for money. I enjoyed the suitably Saxon specialities on the menu. There is no lift/elevator and some rooms are several flights up - this may not suit the elderly, infirm or those who travel "heavy". Yes there were flies at breakfast, it was mid summer in the deep countryside after all and the reception doors were open for ventilation - looked like fruit flies to me so I was not too worried - there was a chilled cabinet for most of the important bits of food but it would be better if flies could be excluded from the restaurant.
Not far from the highway. Nice village and no parking problem. Old hotel, needs refreshment. Poor breakfast with too many flies, even a dead fly on the ham! Hot rooms in the summer.
