With the dramatic landscape of Lofoten on its doorstep, this is the perfect hotel if you want to explore the wilderness of Lofoten. Our hotel is centrally located in the town of Leknes.
Pros: I came to this hotel a couple of days before the coronavirus emergency was declared in Norway. The government put me in quarantine - meaning I could no longer leave the hotel because no other hotel in Norway would accept me. The hotel management, especially the women at reception and the manager, were extremely helpful to get me through the ordeal. They offered me a huge discount for the days I hadn't planned to stay in Leknes. It all ended fine with the goverment allowing visitors like myself to fly out of the country. Terrible times I must say, but an excellent property and wonderful people! Tusind tak!
Cons: The weather might have been slightly better. I did tell the manager and he agreed to speak with whoever was resposnible...
Pros: Breakfast was generous and tasty. The location in central Leknes is close to the airport (1.6km) making it ideal for flights arriving late
Pros: Facility & location. The breakfast is great and plenty. The staffs are friendly & supportive.
Pros: Located right in this little town, it was perfect for a one night stay while waiting to meet up with a group the following day. I had read a review that was really helpful that suggested requesting a room on the ground floor if you were traveling with a large bag. I was and that was nicely accommodated. The entire staff was very extremely helpful in every way.
Pros: Very friendly and helpful staff
Pros: Comfortable and warm
Cons: My door didn’t lock The WiFi didn’t work properly The phone wasn’t working either
8.4 Excellent (1,042 reviews)

Pros: The hotel is in Reine and the location is good. The breakfast is included with good quality
Cons: The sound insulation is not really good, I can even hear the snoring from the other room
Pros: Easy to park the car next to the hotel
Cons: Had some issues with the automatic door to get in the hotel
Pros: Clean and good location, you can walk 5 minutes to the famous photo spot. And the bus stop is right opposite the hotel. Moreover, they provide rich and delicious breakfast.

The Eliassen Rorbuer provides a great place for travelers to relax after a busy day. When guests have some time on their hands they can make use of the onsite facilities. According to our trusted guests, the facilities at this hotel are first-rate.
Pros: Possibly the best booking I've made. Perfect location, during our stay I can actually see the northern lights from my room. And in the morning, the views from the room are just as amazing. Very close to the iconic bridge, good thing we didnt have to wait in the bridge as the Northern lights can be seen from our room. The instructions were clear on how to get there. The cabins were big and comfortable, staffs were helpful. There was nothing wrong that I could think off from this stay. Highly recommended.
Pros: The comfy bed, good food and great view and environment
Cons: Too crowded n bot confy bed
Pros: The cabin was really nice and would also be perfect for a longer stay as a complete kitchen is included. It is located in Hamnoy and therefore it is close to all the spectacular places in the southern part of the Lofoten Islands. The Hamnoy bridge to take the famous picture is in walking distance.
Cons: The heating of the cabin wasn't that good. Therefore it was quite cold when we arrived (March). We had to turn up all available heaters to full power for many hours until the temperature was ok in the cabin.
Pros: I think it is ok to stay here during my aurora trip. Free wifi, kitchenware, large living room.
Cons: - 1 month later after check out they still do not refund deposit to my credit card. - staff not friendly for us they do not give enough information such as : we must check out ealy morning (5 am.) but they do not give me password to enter to lobby to drop the key.
Pros: It would be a tough call finding a more spectacular location. The view is truly majestic. Although modern, the accommodation still has the character of the old days - in a very good way
Pros: Perfect location, warm house.
Cons: Restaurant was closed. Had trouble checking in because arrived late and wasn’t able to find the welcome email in the spam folder but eventually everything worked out.
Pros: Friendly staff with neat and tidy room
Cons: Unfortunately the part of the place was under construction but the staff have made informed us prior to our arrival...
Located in Moskenes, Brygga restaurant Bed & Breakfast is by the ocean, within a 5-minute walk of Norwegian Fishing Village Museum and Stockfish Museum. The front desk is staffed during limited hours. Guests may use a ferry terminal shuttle for a surcharge, and free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Great location : the hotel is builded on stilts above the water/sea (you could almost hear the waves from your bed) Confortable room with nice views, the shared bathrooms were all freshly renovated, there is a bathroom sink in the room, helpful staff. The restaurant was not open during our stay (change of owners) but the staff advised us a good restaurant only a few minutes away. We liked it!
Cons: First, the lighting was not working in our room, so we got another one. Then, when we came back from the restaurant (in the evening), we got stuck outside the building because an other client of the hotel closed a door that was not supposed to be closed. I called the staff that came quickly on site to help us but it was more complicated than we though because the owner of the hotel had changed recently and the staff was new/temporary and not aware of everything in the building. After approximately one hour we could finally re-enter our room. The situation was not nice for us but the staff did his best to solve the problem.
Pros: Great location, with a stunning view of the mountains
Cons: No Breakfast for a bed and breakfast... No towels change during the stay No staff seen during the entire stay Great location but be expect to stay in a kind of youth hotel
Pros: Very well located hostel (it feels a bit like you are at the end of the world, especially in the winter) with clean and comfortable rooms (with a sink) and a shared bathroom. The staff were very nice and helpful.
Pros: The place was marvelous, the rooms clean and comfy despite the winter storm and the view around the place is just breathtaking

Pros: The design and the environment very close to nature

Pros: the enviroment you breath is amazing. The facilities are exactly what we were looking for. Agata's attitude is extraordinary.
Cons: It felt like home.
Pros: It’s very clean and very organized. Great big kitchen and common room. The room was very small, but decorated nicely and comfortable enough. On site parking is good too.
Cons: The coffee machine in the kitchen had problems and I had to get staff to help get it to work during the daytime. But with no one there to get it working early in the morning it meant no coffee before leaving at sunrise for the ferry.
Pros: Upon arrival, a really quick walk from the bus stop, i had all the information in my emails to get inside and get to my room. Brilliant. No keys, trust system - So easy. This should be adopted everywhere. I would hardly call it a hostel, the first morning I woke up I was met by other travelers and we all sat together and had breakfast, free coffee and talked about the area, hikes and each of our experiences. Agata the owner, went above and beyond to make every persons stay enjoyable and paid careful attention to each request, ensuring it was met. Could keep going, but by far the best experience - well and truly off the beaten track, that i've had at a 'hostel' This is without even mentioning the area - I was absolutely in awe of the hikes, backdrop and access to the endless opportunities. oh, and the northern lights at the door step...
Cons: Nothing to note.
Pros: Very cozy, nice place to stay. We had a double room apartment, and the design and comfort were on a really high level. We enjoyed our stay greatly.

Pros: Everything was very satisfactory.
Cons: Nothing, except my door was very squeaky so could annoy others.
Pros: already check is a bit tricky because you have to go to a restaurant nearby. (good thing is you'll get instructions beforehand by email). location is good in view to be nearly southest possibility to stay.
Cons: charm was a bit like a hostel in the 90...
Pros: The bed was comfortable. Quite area.
Cons: The shower curtain was moldy. The toilet brush is broken. There was no mirror in the room. We arrived in a cold room. The heater was not turned on. There's no heating in the kitchen. The kitchen is very poor.

It is also very suitable for the travelers who choose to visit Lofoten without renting vehicles as it is located just next to bus stop to Reine, Moskenes ferryport, even Narvik! It is also close to two grocery stores. Good stuff indeed.
Pros: location is good and nearby supermarket could be easily accessable. the bed is very good for sleep comfortablely.
Cons: too clean the small tea room is necessary every day. No one comes to remove the garbage in the tea room, which creates terrible smell. The light in the tea room is out of function, it should be fixed soon. TV does not work. The managment needs improving greatly.
Pros: Very comfortable beds and nice size room. And clean
Cons: It was hard to find and was not clear from the beginning where to get the key until i saw the msg. Its was a bit complicated.

Only face towels were provided (we didn’t know we needed to bring our own towels) and kitchen supplies are limited (ex no foil or plastic wrap, pepper, there’s coffee but no sugar), etc. Sauna was not operational but we were not told until after we arrived (we planned on using it.)
Pros: Clean, and comfortable! Everything is great
Cons: The hot shower, there is a bath tub but you should make sure you have enough water for everyone in the house.
Pros: Location OK. There was no breakfast, but good possibilities for food-making in the kitchen. We had our own food with us. Good parking Place.
Cons: There were a lot of "bluebottles" (flies) in the Windows (I opened the Windows and sent them out). I found that the door to the frontside terrace was not locked (i believe there were no other people in the house at that time). May be this is no "challenge" in Ballstad.
Pros: It was my favourite place in the whole Lofoten. The house is absolutely gorgeous and the host was really friendly. The location is perfect, the house decoration is beautiful. Super well equipped kitchen, free food cupboard, its amazing. Just book it!

Cons: Totally overpriced! You have to make your own bed, you get charged for bed linen and on top you need to clean your own cabin. Total rip off! Cooking utensils been dusty! Me personal after our 36,000km ride from Australia to Europe was the worst place we stayed ! We been 185 days on the road, no future comment need!
