we appreciated the very remote rural location of the hotel; a good place to be away from usual high speed life.
The proprietors went out of their way to make sure breakfast was available for my family even though we had to leave before 7.30 1/2 an hour before breakfast was due to start. They could not have been more helpful.
THe staff were very helpful and friendly - nothing was too much trouble for them. IT was in peaceful surroundings.
Access was difficult - the roads leading to the guest house were very narrow for miles - even the sat nav found difficulty locating the place.
Restaurant closed when I arrived at 19.10pm, unable to offer even a cold snack, Breakfast not served until 8am, I needed an early start to get to my first appointment
Food (breakfast and evening meal) was excellent - . Nice rural surroundings. Great for a weekend away although on this occasion I was visiting the area on business.
Location was very remote - access made more difficult by a bridge closure nearby. Whilst the food is great in the B&B, if you wanted more variety, it would be quite a trek to nearest pub or restaurant - perhaps an issue if you were staying for more than a few nights. Single room quite basic and only a very small portable tv with only 3/4 channels.
I booked this hotel because of its close proximity to one of the WRC track. Good room rates, friendly hosts, lovely dinner, comfy room with a fantastic view - what more could I expect!
Due to the road works, the hotel is very difficult to find. Could probably put a few sign post around the windy roads.
Excellent food; attentive staff
