Pros: Can't say enough about my stay, we were visiting for a friend's wedding and the staff went above and beyond in just about every way possible to assist with transport for multiple friends, check ins for the same, and to address little issues that arose, as would happen with any stay. We felt taken care of the whole while, which allowed us to focus on the reason for the trip in the first place.
Pros: Food great! Room very clean

Pros: The service was the best I've ever experienced they went above and beyond for everything that I needed, and I know about hotels because I come from working in 5 star hotels for over 30 years.
Pros: Service, location, restaurant
Cons: Room size things to do inside hotel

Guests can visit the fitness center for a workout or grab a bite to eat at Restaurnate, which serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner. A bar/lounge and a sauna are other highlights, and rooms offer 24-hour room service and plasma TVs.
Pros: Hotel was clean, great location, taxis on standby.
Cons: I had reservations for myself and my girlfriend for the week. My girlfriend had to register as an additional guest upon check in....not sure why since the reservation was for two guests. This was not the problem, the ridiculous part was every time we entered the hotel they made her verify her status as a guest and/or complete another registration document. This is totally rude, ridiculous, and unacceptable behavior from the staff. Do not treat your guests as if they are prostitutes..Management, train your staff correctly and work on their speed checking guests in and out. It was like your staff cannot read when we were checking out...totally incompetent. I for sure will NOT be recommending or staying at this hotel again.
Pros: Good Wifi
Free dinner & breakfast
Quiet (off the main street)
Pros: Excellent location to city center. Quiet.
Cons: - The bed was not memory foam as advertised.
- They do not provide an airport shuttle as advertised. They just arrange for a cab to pick you up. If you arrive late at night, you better have local currency to pay the driver.
- Their website did not provide an e-mail address to contact them.
- I asked one staff member at the front desk for change to tip a driver and was told I would need to go to the bank, they didn't make change.
- Hot water was very spotty. Early in the morning, chances were good. After six or seven at night, I had to wait up to an hour for lukewarm water.

Pros: The value is amazing!
Pros: The staff was very friendly and helpful. The concierge was especially helpful. She booked tours for us and made sure we were satisfied. Great follow-up!
Pros: Location. The hotel is literally in walking distance from fine dining, shopping, banking and a movie theatre. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The onsite restaurant was very good with a full menu 24 hour room service. The included breakfast was also excellent.
Cons: The bed was very firm and uncomfortable. The WiFi wasn't reliable in the room. I had to go to the lobby for a decent connection. The hotel is older but is well maintained.

Pros: Overall a super deal for my money. the staff were outstanding, spoke English, and very helpful in every way. Facilities, food, and service were excellent. Location was great, next to major shopping mall, taxi service always available and walking distance to many things. The hotel arranged taxi travel, tour of the city and offered great advice on things to see and do.
Cons: I wish the gym had more equipment, but local gyms were only walking distance away.

Other amenities include a sauna and Turkish bath, international television and High Speed Internet Access. It is just one minute's walk from Oviedo Mall, which features 100 shops and three movie theaters. The area offers numerous restaurants at which you can sample Colombia's native cuisine.
Pros: A clean and contemporary hotel, beautiful pool area, delicious breakfast which was included, rooms were nice and clean, a bit sparse but satisfactory. Bathroom clean, simple. Check in staff were courteous and extremely friendly.
Cons: Nothing I really did not like.
Pros: Me gustó la gran mayoría de las cosas, la atención, la comodidad y el buen gusto
Cons: no me gusto que mi televisor no tuvo señal y el teléfono inalámbrico no servía
Pros: Great location in Poblado. The room and hotel was definitely more designed for business clients. Pool area was decent but the hot tubs were not remotely clean. Great restaurant.
Cons: The front desk staff was rude. They seemed bothered the few times we needed to speak to them. Restaurant staff was great and the bellhop also but everyone we encountered at the front desk gave us a cold reception. Your hotel is average at least tip the scale by having pleasant customer service.

Pros: Modern hotel, good room, convenient location

Pros: Design and confortable

Pros: Very helpful and friend staff. Wonderful complimentary breakfast!
Cons: The restaurant area was too open.
The bathroom at the room has not enough privacy
Cons: Bad Internet

You can visit the spa to indulge in hot stone massages, body wraps, or aromatherapy, and American cuisine is served at Restaurante Lussac, which is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. A nightclub and a bar/lounge are other highlights, and rooms at this upscale hotel offer up nice touches like rainfall showerheads, bathrobes, and Select Comfort beds with Egyptian cotton sheets.
Pros: I really liked the services and the attention of a doormen(Fernando restrepo) who made my stayed more pleaceant . He understood customer service better than the front desk manager or staff
Cons: The internet (wifi )only worked in the bathroom so after 3 calles to the front desk and after nobody came to help I had to moved my office to the bathroom and I worked all night sitting on the toilet because it was the only place the wifi worked(afemter speaking to the front desk manager ,36 hrs later they brought a modem to the room and the wifi connection finally worked ) . Both rooms I experienced had smelly courtains ,the toilet on the first room leaked all night and created a large pool in the bathroom .the bath tub was not draining properly in both rooms that I slept during my stayed . The second room I was moved in to ,was directly in front of a major construction project on (la loma de los parra)and the air powered jack hammers began operating at 7:59 am so I never had a chance to fully rest .it was not a great experience and I won't be back to that hotel .
Pros: Lobby was pretty and grand
Cons: Towels felt like sandpaper on my skin - and I'm a grown man with rough skin not a dainty lady or child.
"Hot" water was lukewarm at best ... A nice hot shower would've been nice at this price.
Hotel staff doesn't speak any English
Location is away from restaurants or nightlife (though cans are cheap).
Better service and nicer properties in the 5* range are
Pros: Stayed for a week with a friend , very nice property, great customer service in an upscale secure location within walking distance to malls, restaurants, secure atm etc. breakfast buffet had very good assortment of food and baked goods. I would say the only draw back was the rather too firm bed.. And we had no pool during our stay as it was being remodeled. Overall a good place and value. Would come back
Pros: Big and well located.
Cons: Old rooms, smelly fabric, deficient bathroom.
Pros: Stayed at the San Fernando Plaza twice during our vacation in Colombia.
Rooms were very nice. After reading some reviews, we were expecting there may be issues with spotty internet, but only experienced it the first time we stayed with the connection not being very strong in our room. Didn't have a problem with the internet everywhere else, but couldn't get a strong signal from in our room. Other family members also staying at the hotel didn't have any problem getting internet in their room, and the second time we stayed, we had perfect connection in our room which was on the opposite side of the hotel from our first room.
The breakfast was amazing and we had such great service. Everyone was very nice and helpful, and I didn't feel as though they tried to haggle for tips or anything of that sort. We did have a small mix up with our room not being available despite arriving after the 3 pm check in time, but it was taken care of pretty quickly.
Over all no complaints, would definitely return!
Pros: I thought that I would like the location but that was not the case.
Cons: Very poor service from the reception staff and the Internet connection was terrible.
Cons: - Employees are obsessed with getting tips and do not miss out on any opportunity to ask for them. They were even willing to add a tip to which I had not agreed to the room service receipt AFTER I signed it. Very bad style. Thus one star rating.
Pros: Helpful staff and good location
Cons: Fees that could be avoided only if they tell you that those are optional
Pros: Location was decent. Hotel was in good shape as far as cleanliness. The breakfast was pretty dang good relative to most hotel breakfast buffets. Receptionist luisa spoke really good English. They gave me late checkout till 3pm! The hotel was a good deal for what I paid.
Cons: My room was not soundproofed at all. Every voice in the hall, phone ringing in other rooms, doors opening and closing, etc, might as well have been happening in my room with me. They did not have the rooms ready when we arrived despite our having arrived at close to 3pm. One of the rooms was not ready till almost 5pm. The Internet disconnects automatically if your device goes to sleep. A minor annoyance but after the 100th time entering the username/password it got to be pretty aggravating.
The San Fernando Plaza Hotel offers luxurious accommodation with a heated outdoor pool, spa and fitness center in Medellin, in the financial and commercial district of El Poblado. Besides a bar and a restaurant.Rooms at San Fernando Plaza are spacious and include a seating area, high-speed Wi Fi and satellite TV. Some have a large terrace overlooking the city.
Pros: clean, centrally located, great breakfast and professional staff. will return.
too bad they didnt recommend the Metro Cable or the Mamm museum. Such a great town
Pros: Excellent hotel! Friendly staff... Super location!
Cons: Beds mattresses are kind of hard.
Pros: The hotel is located close to good restaurants, bars and clubs in Parque Lleras area.
Cons: Bathroom (toilet) in the room is not very private. It s fairly open to the room. Sound and odors are not contained at all in the bathroom area. Awkward if you are traveling wih a special someone.
There are additional charges added to the bill during checkout which are not clearly disclosed in the reservation. Luckily the extra fees/taxes are not too high.
Cons: No pool. Or lounge area.
Cons: It's old, needs remodeling.
Pros: Location, breakfast, rooms, price.
Cons: Not much of a gym but that's about it.
Pros: Great price, close to the good restaurants, breakfast was excellent, beautiful view.
Cons: Double beds for a couple and towels were rough.
Pros: The hotel is right in the middle of El Poblado - many restaurants and bars all around.
Cons: Hotel only provided one key for a room booked for two people (when asked for 2nd key was told it's against hotel policy).
Breakfast was included but not that good - ended up going out for breakfast instead to one of the many cafes all around.
The 'gym' by the pool had a couple excercise bikes and thread mills only.
Pros: Love the people in medellin, excelente customer service, the only thing did not like was my very small room.
Cons: Could not sleep both nights because of loud music coming from nearby nightclub. Will not stay at this hotel again
Pros: Breakfast buffet was Fabulous! Great location.
Putting you within a 10-minute drive of Park of Lights, Diez Hotel Categoria Colombia features a rooftop terrace and offers an airport shuttle (available 24 hours) for COP 63000 per vehicle. Guests can visit the spa to be pampered with massages, body wraps, or body scrubs, and Diez Restaurante Bar, one of 3 restaurants, serves fusion cuisine and is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. A health club and a sauna are other highlights, and rooms at this upscale hotel offer up nice touches like iPod docks and pillowtop beds with pillow menus.
Pros: We loved our room. It was a suite. The bed was comfortable. Breakfast was great. The location is perfect.
Cons: I cant think of something that i didnt like. If we come back to colombia this has first place. Will recommend to all my friends.
Pros: Very nice hotel
Pros: The restaurant serves amazing food--some of the best in Medellin. Great location, off the busy main street so not too noisy, great views, great staff.
Cons: Price, cleanliness, customer service
Pros: The staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was really good with a good variety. Good location and very clean.
Cons: The only issue I had was the sink and shower seemed slightly clogged. Sink drained slowly and the shower was even worse. By the time I was done showering it was up to my ankles and took 30 mins or more to fully drain.
Pros: Terrible staff, rude,
Cons: The staff

Pros: We were welcomed very warmly upon arrival with a welcome drink and nice greetings! The staff are all friendly, courteous, and nice. They really work hard to make a difference. We had room service- limonadas, hot water, spaghetti, sandwich, etc. - they were all delivered in a very timely manner, and the whole dinner was less than $25!! The food was delicious. The laundry service is fast (2 hours!) and great. The hotel is in a very quiet neighborhood, yet it takes only several minutes' walk to shopping malls and restaurants. The value is great!
Pros: The bed, food, staff and price were all great. Food was reasonably priced. It was all good to be honest. Hoping to return to that hotel in a few months when I am back in Medellin.
Cons: Too heater wasn't that hot.
Hotel Poblado Alejandria puts you 3.9 mi (6.3 km) from Park of Lights and 4.3 mi (6.9 km) from Botero Square Sculpture Park, plus an airport shuttle is available for USD 25 per vehicle. Guests can indulge in massages or mani/pedis, and Cafe Alejandria serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner. There's a rooftop terrace and a bar/lounge, and rooms get the details right with premium bedding and rainfall showerheads.
At Loyds Hotel, you'll be 3 mi (4.8 km) from Park of Lights and 3.7 mi (6 km) from Palacio de la Cultura. Free perks include WiFi and continental breakfast daily between 6:30 AM and 10 AM. All rooms offer flat-screen TVs, minibars, and premium bedding.
Nice hotel, great location, good price and friendly staff.
Internet WiFi worked the first night and was down for the remaining eight nights. The hotel didn't provide an explanation of the problem or appear concerned with fixing it. Major inconvenience.
Pros: Location to restaurants is good but not close to the business centers.
Cons: Check in staff was a nightmare. They could not find my online reservation despite me showing them the confirmation on my phone and made me wait a half hour at the desk while they called their boss to see what to do. It was late and I was tired after an all night flight. The proper thing would have been to give me a key and figure it out later on their own.
Pros: The staff here is amazing and very helpful. Omar , William, Sebastian, the two gentleman that work the front desk, the entire staff at the restaurant, everyone was just so nice to me. I speak little to no Spanish and everyone helped me so much. The hotel has a great complementary breakfast and beautiful views. I really enjoyed my time here. It's located around several great restaurants and a cute little park, perfect for foodies, and then walk it off around the park. I would stay here again!
Cons: The water pressure was a little low, the "jacuzzi" on the roof... Is more like a bath tub that you have to fill up your self. Which for sanitary reasons isn't that bad...... But it takes 40 mins to fill it up, and the water doesn't get hot :( They do charge you for a guest and some hidden fees. I stayed 16 days had a guest for one day, got a massage, and charged 3 meals to my room and insurance per night, I had extra fees of about $150.00
Pros: The decor. That's it.
Cons: The hidden fees they did not describe. The room was $130,000.00 pesos. To have a guest VISIT (not stay) they want to charge $187,000.00 pesos. To smoke in the room $200,000.00 pesos. To use the sauna which is plastered ALL over the website: an additional $130,000.00. So needless to say: their hidden charges exceed the cost of the room. Not to mention the staff was rude and cold. I didn't even stay, I left due to my dissatisfaction.
Pros: Clean rooms, friendly staff
Cons: No cons
Inntu Hotel features an airport shuttle and puts you within a 15-minute drive of Atanasio Giradot Stadium and Park of Lights. Guests can indulge in massages at the spa, and Siroka Restaurant serves international cuisine. A bar/lounge and a 24-hour health club are other highlights, and rooms at this upscale hotel offer minibars and room service.
Pros: It is located very close to two different malls and a open 24 hours market for food and other Supplys and just a short walk away. The breakfast in the morning is good but they serve the same thing every day and there is not much of a variety but it's free so I still enjoyed it. There is a spa located in the building that my fiancé and I had a great couples massage but the place was a littel hard to find. There are no signs directing you to the spa and you have to take two different elevators to get to the right floor and side of the building so it was rather hard to find.
Cons: The sink was cracked in are room but thankfully did not seem to leak. The shower hot water heater only provided about five minutes of hot water before the water went cold. So no nice long relaxing hot showers for us. The a/c in the room made there room decently cold but if you like it very cold it's not going to happen. The TV would reset every time you shut it off so you had to chand it to the right input and redo the settings every time you turned it back on. Took a few calls to the repai man befor we learned to do it are selves. There was a option on the TV thought to change the language to English so that was great. The.gym was not very good they had three tread mills but only two worked, one elliptical that did not work and a bike that worked ok but the settings and heart rate reader did not work. They had two jacuzzis that were not filled with water you had to call and reserve then an hour in advance. They also had a steam room that worked on a timer and a sauna that worked the same. You had to turn the timer and set the temperature out side before going it but they heated up rather fast so they worked decently for me. The bed was very hard and the towels were very hard and rough not light and soft like your used to at a nice hotel. Final thoughts, the hotel was nice but was not what we were expecting from a four star hotel. The experience was more of a three star at best. But the location and price was very nice. So I guess you get what you pay for.

No conseguías comer otra cosa.
Pros: Central location
Cons: I did not like the fact that the Tony Roma restaurant was closed because of a holiday. It was the main reason I booked this hotel. A 5 star establishment cannot close a restaurant because of a holiday.
Pros: Staying at this hotel during our four days and three nights ( fron May 7 To May 10 at Room 407) in Medellin was a not so good and it is very far from being the best hotel in the city. Breakafst was good, the room was olds, they need to renew the facilities.
Cons: However things got worse when we got home in Miami back from Medellin and realized that and Iphone5 and an IPod were stolen from one of our bags while we were at this hotel.
Pros: Great pool environment and spacious rooms.
Cons: No ventilation in the bathroom, so it got very warm in there taking a shower and getting ready. The service was beyond horrible. It took more than 20 minutes, at times, to get service for drinks. The gym was way less than stellar and more frustrating than useful. Additionally, we could not get pedicures or manicures while there because the girls was out sick. They only have 1 girl for this?!?! How would multiple people get services?? And, upon checking out, the bill was incorrect for incidentals. The only resolve is to email someone...infuriating!
Pros: Close to parque lleras
DO NOT STAY HERE! AT ALL!!
. Most employees (of course not all, mostly the ones that don't depend on tips) treat you like they are doing you a favor. No patience on answering questions, on talking to you, on trying to accommodate you needs.
. The fact that you are VERY close to Parque Lleras can make it really hard to have quiet time, especially at night - and also the windows are not noise proof, are just simple thin glass windows.
. WI-FI is just SO SLOWWWW!!! And the signal is just SOO BAD! It makes you sign in ALL THE TIME!!! It's just soo sooo terrible!!
. The bed was so hard and old that I had to ask for them to put another mat on top. But of course they had only a kid mat and it wouldn't fit so I ended up with 2 kid mats on top of my old king size that squeaks at every turn.
. It's been 6 days that I'm here and they've given me only 1 new set of shampoo/conditioner/soap. I had to save one day when it was ending during my shower, then I guess the lady finally notice it was over and replace it. But since the new conditioner was not used, she took away the next day!! I'm not kidding!!! It's just craazy!
. Your minibar is never refilled. it's been 6 days and I'm consuming what's in it but it's never been refilled.
. I think they don't refill anything, same thing with laundry. I've had to request laundry bags twice and they still send me only 1 bag/form + it doesn't get refilled after room is cleaned!
. The Gym hours are bad and the equipment is dirty full of dust, one of the elliptical has pieces falling apart.
. The elevator has 1 single 15-sec advertisement that repeats over and over and over... on the second day I couldn't hear it anymore. Now that I'm on my 6th day with 4 more to go I've created a barrier, I just block it.
. There was not a single pen and paper on the room.
. There is no paper tissue (Kleenex) in the toilet - and the toilet lights are terrible.
. Ow! And the power outlets turn off when you leave so you can't leave anything charging in the room!! hahahaha just bizarre!!!
. When you ask for room service (by the way the choices are LAME), remember to ask for salt!! They NEVER send it. I've ordered every single day... Today, the 6th day I ordered in advanced.
. And don't be shy, you can hear every time the guest upstairs flushes and takes a shower. It is VERY loud. BTW, get use to noise, as this is a very noisy hotel.
. Ah and the water, every time the upstairs guest flushes or is taking a shower, your water pressure decreases considerably!
That are probably more details but I think these are enough reasons for you TO DON'T STAY HERE!!!!
Really it's been the worst decision I made. And worst of all: they made me PRE-PAY the reservation without refund!!!!! So I can't leave and go anywhere else!!
Pros: great location
Cons: moldy shower curtain
sheets didn't feel like all cotton
breakfast buffet needs attention
$50 to add a guest (room was only $80)
bathroom needs to be renovated
