Superb food and service, Wonderful location Standard rooms are small
We arrived at the hotel early before our room was available. The duty manager (Ann?) was extremely helpful, coffee was provided and we settled into comfy armchairs in the bar. I had a problem with my laptop but the information I required was printed off for us. We were due to attend a function at 5pm that day and would miss dinner so a hot lunch was provided for us whilst our room was prepared. The staff at Kilcamb, for us, are definitely their greatest asset along with the stunning location of course! Try not to book Room 10, as unfortunately this room is above the staff entrance so it was rather noisy at 'start' and 'finish' times, however this is just a minor point.
Location, great food, fabulous breakfast!Very comfortable and clean room.
Excellent level of service. Staff very professional, friendly and helpful. Food outstanding, . Relaxing country style, unpretentious and they love dogs, our elderly Golden Retriever had a great time. Lovely loch side setting, trees, mountains, river, wildlife,a wonderful part of Scotland.
Attentive staff, excellent food, superb location. No walk in showers
We absoultely enjoyed every minute of our stay at Kilcamb Lodge from the wonderful welcome on our arrival, to the comfortable room and the absolutely delicious gourmet food. A huge thank you to all the staff. I only wish we could have stayed longer.
A friendly welcome, attentive service, top quality dining and a lovely house and location. The owners clearly work hard to create a particular ambience - welcoming and very comfortable but without the pretentious atmosphere often found in this price bracket. One of our best hotel experiences ever.
I would prefer less gourmet and more country house
Room comfortable, staff very good, food vastly over rated, upgraded room welcomed Balcony badly needs a lick of paint, bathroom grouting needs a clean. Food is vastly overwrought, lacks flavour and is a case of style over content...some of the combinations were awful...fine dining at its dodgiest.
Food and service some of the finest we have ever enjoyed. In this Hotel you are a name not a number. Staff friendly and properly trained.
No lift, room was on the 3nd. floor (steep set of stairs) BUT the staff took up our bags! this was a big +
Convenience to ferry, restaurants and train station was excellent. The view from our room of the water and nearby islands was spectacular. Wifi was limited to a small space near the front desk.
Exceptionally friendly and helpful staff. Fabulous room with clean and new bathroom. Excellent value.Good food. Dining area was cold and did not match the rest of the hotel. Accept it was accessible to walkers and families but a more comfortable dining area would have been nice.
Staff were very friendly, dinner and breakfast very good. Room excellent
The place Impossible to have a warm room, outside there were 10 c and inside 15 C. Cannot understand why they've still not discovered the mixer tap with hot and cold water! Shoud understand that we're in the 21st century.
View from the restaurant and the hotel room were beautiful/excellent, and the evening meal food was very tasty. Food at breakfast was rather minimal, ie 1 piece of each item isn't really filling or good value for money. Also, the volume/language of the patrons in the bar were the only downside to our meal.
Service and aspect Very dissapointed that the breakfast dining room was not used for residents requiring dinner forcing us to eat in the public bar. this not what I expect from this quality of hotel
Very good receptionist Room not readygood
Location was good, with stunning views and surroundings. Room was compact, as was the double bed. A good handy-man would help the hotel to keep things working better and keep customers happy.
Very friendly staff. Easy position for a visit of Isle of Skye.
The hotel was old fashioned but in fair condition .Staff were friendly, relaxed and provided a good service We thought it was slightly over priced
Location is excellent. Double rooms have a double bed - two single beds would have been preferred at this trip
