Only good thing was going to explore London outside of the hotel
The staff, don’t talk to you nicely when coming across a problem the staff were really unfriendly, disrespectful and unwelcoming. Was a poor start to our stay there. The rooms are really dirty, and the bathrooms and shower room was of poor quality. Even the stairs walking up to the floor we was on we’re all really dirty, the place really does need to be cleaned! The beds were really uncomfortable you could feel the bed frames through the mattress, so we couldn’t even sleep because they were that bad. The draws that we had were broken. The blankets that they had given us where just sheets and not proper blankets. Our door to our room was hanging off the hinges, so safety there was poor. There was no health and safety regulations anywhere to be seen. So overall, we will not be returning to this hotel in London as it has well and truly spoilt our trip here.
Clean sheets every other day. Clean towels every day. Always hot water. Helpful staff. Great location.
Mattress needed renewing. Room needed a lick of paint to freshen it up.
Central, open 24/7 and the staff was kind and available to answer our requests.
The building was old and not renewed. It's fine considered that it's London, but I will not advise it for people with allergies.
The hotel is certainly tired and could do with a major facelift, but my experience was good. I was in the annex (room 62), so I can’t comment about the main part of the hotel, but although very simple, the reception and the staff were friendly and helpful. My room was very clean and comfortable.....the decor was also very simple, but being the room at the back of the hotel I had a good night sleep and the outside noise wasn’t too bad. The bathroom was tiny, but everything was working, so no complaints. The price was very reasonable considering the central location and the proximity to the underground station. Plenty of restaurants and bars within a 10 minutes walk.
The rooms are dirty, staff rude and had to change room 3 times because they wasn't ready to sleep in
