The air conditioning wasn’t working, the panel on the bath was broke, there was debris in the bath and sink that wasn’t cleaned properly.
Very uncomfortable bed which although I paid for a double was 2 single beds pushed 2gether! Couldn't open the window at all and the room was so hot we n early melted with two fans on the go ....the lady who checked me in seemed uninterested and was quite rude. This hotel is in need of some TLC saying that the breakfast was lovely and well worth the money
Breakfast was fine., and at least the young ladies on hand were cheerful and helpful.
Our room could have been ready when we arrived just after 13.00. It could also have been ready when we returned at 6.00pm. Waiting for the room so that we could get ready to go out meant that we were late for the theatre and missed the first twenty minutes of The Lion King, which really upset my granddaughter. The 'front of house' staff were totally miserable - we didn't get one smile in the whole of our stay from them. The weather couldn't be helped, but underfloor heating by the bathroom door didn't help either. I feel we would have had a much better stay in a Travel Lodge!!
The location of the hotel is very good, on the upper side of Hyde Park / Kensington Gardens.
Considering the value, the rooms are pretty slim in terms of comfortability. We had a room 3 that was pretty small and not very much furnished. Last but not least the on booking.com web page it said the hotel had a swimming pool and it is not true at all. Speaking with the staff, it is not available any room since quite some time ago.
It's old, dark and ugly.No facilities. The poo; and sauna were closed while you had indicated on your website there is a pool...
