I actually quite liked this hotel ....(even though it was lacking in lots of different areas) Awesome location. Round the corner from Earl's court tube. Shops handy for drinks and snacks. Loads of food places. Breakfast was available. Literally cereal and toast ....plus a few other bits like boiled eggs and juice. That's it. Lift to all floors.
Room key rarely worked each time we came back from a day out. Always a returned trip down to reception to have the key re coded. ( Even on the days we left the key card at reception). The garden looked like a poorly unattended area.....with long weeds and grass over growing amongst the new garden furniture....like a half hearted attempt at a chilling area for guests. Plus the visable pile of rubbish in the left hand corner. The rooms were old fashioned but cosy enough. Maintenance is a real issue here....and you can tell....from shower fittings that squirt water up into the air ( instead of down into the bath). Bits of molding tiles and fittings in the bathroom. Not the best. Broken towl rails.....you get the idea.
the hotel is so convenient, right next to Earls Court underground but not noisy.
the hotel is a bit on the shabby side & could do with a face lift.
Staff never smile and thé close breakfast 2/3 mn before the time ... and nothing to say
Great location - 1 min from Earl's Court and a nice yard to breakfast outsude behind. Complementary tea and coffee all day long. Friendly receptionists.
2 complaints : 1. My room had almost no windows - in an attempt to make more room 2 stories were made into 3 and my room on the second floor had a wall instead of a window - with two tiny pieces of windows at the floor and below the ceiling. Had I known that, I would have chosen another hotel. I think it needs to be marked at booking.com, that you chose a no-window room. 2. The air conditioning system was terrible. As there were no windows the air was stale, and the fan at the ceiling was working all night. I woke up with a runny nose and sore throat in the morning. Also the flooring is old and needs to be renovated, but the bathroom was good. The breakfast was very basic, but ok.
Next door to Tube Station !
Having to take the (head)Hairs from a previous occupant off the sheet , 3 or 4 Long ones !
