For over 150 years, The Langham London has been a go-to for dignitaries and royalty. Fresh off a $135 million dollar makeover, the hotel (one of Europe’s first so-called Grand Hotels) is a perennially commanding presence in London's posh Marylebone neighborhood. The elegant Victorian architecture and luxurious modern facilities combine for a five-star experience guaranteed to delight both business and leisure travelers.
Luxury and Convenience
With a business center, meeting rooms, and free Wi-Fi, those in London for work can make themselves at home, while vacationers will enjoy the spa, fitness center, and stunning indoor pool, set in a former bank vault. The hotel also offers bicycle rentals for active London exploration. In-house dining is superb -- a father-son team operates the acclaimed Roux at The Landau restaurant, while Artesian has been voted "The World's Best Bar" for three consecutive years by Drinks International. Palm Court is lovely for afternoon tea, and private dining can be arranged in the hotel's gorgeous ballroom or carriage rooms.
At the top of Regent Street, The Langham London is next door to the city's West End theater district. Within walking distance are the British Museum and Regent's Park, while Big Ben and Hyde Park aren't far on public transportation. While the hotel's neighborhood of Marylebone is plenty stylish, equally fashionable Mayfair and Covent Garden are close by, and well worth visiting.
tiny rooms even with upgrade weird hotel layout
Fantastic Hotel Experience! The room, lighting and British-ish decor of the room was just what we were looking for. Everyone in the hotel was friendly, the room luxurious and yet affordable compared to other 5 star hotels nearby (our stay was half the price of other 5 star hotels closer to Buckingham palace and with a kind bed). Centrally located, the Langham was only a 10 minute walk from public transportation and minutes away from a Starbucks. If traveling with an infant, you have access to a refrigerator and can request a crib. LOVED the club room w/ complementary breakfast (6:30-11am) and tea time (2-4pm) was a great treat! Access to two restaurants, a bar and cub room provided many food options. Morning and evening room service was very luxurious. Definitely coming back and recommending.
Front entrance does not have a ramp BUT there is a side elevator (important if you have a stroller). The bed we had seemed old as there was a BIG dent from where most guests must've slept (to be fair, most hotels are this way). I know this hotel had a pool, but for some reason I didn't see a sign for it, or perhaps we never noticed it.
Staff was fantastic. My room was great, especially considering the rate, although wouldn't have been worth the "full" price....
Everything. Its the nicest hotel I've ever stayed in.
The hotel is located close to restaurants, shops and is a short walking distance from excellent theatres. The hotel staff and facilities lived up to a five star experience you expect from the Langham reputation.
