Catherine was a charming and very helpful host. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, the flexibility and freedom her apartment allowed us in the beautiful village of Cucuron. We were made to feel at home, yet experience an authentic Luberon mood during our stay. We'd love to return again.
Lack of cooking facilities
Most unusual B and B in the heart of the village - more an apartment than a room, as it has a living area with dining table and kitchen area as well as the bedroom areas (2 double beds and a single). Stylishly decorated to the owner's individual taste which is very suiting to the property. Caroline the owner provided us with a good breakfast and was welcoming, giving us useful information about the Luberon area.
A word of warning to anyone who might have mobility problems, disabilities or very small children. There are open staircases in the property (concrete and wooden) which have to be used to access the bathroom and toilet, also the second double bed which is on a mezzanine. No rails to hold on to and care needs to be taken. There are also about 8 steps up from the front door to access the main room. On street parking can be a problem, as Cucuron has very narrow, one way streets and is a very popular destination, even in September when the schools have returned.
Located in Cucuron, La Vaureille is in a regional park, a 4-minute drive from Domaine La Cavale and 5 minutes from Musee Extraordinaire.
