Everything in walking distance and it was clean quiet safe and inexpensive especially for Switzerland
No complaints. It met my needs.
Actually stayed at Baslertor twin hotel. nice staff, room ok.
third bed was a bit small. breakfast not included and a bit pricey.
I have reserved a room at guest house but they upgraded my room and I stayed in 3 star hotel without extra charge.
Only bad thing about the hotel is that it is allowed to smoke in the corridor. It makes non-smokers discomforted.
The room was dirty and had a bad smell, particularly in the bathroom. If there is no room in the garage the town's parking system is unbelievably complicated. There hotel is not attended by staff as all admin and check in is done by the much better hotel opposite.
The hotel is little, nice and clean, but the best thing is the location - just go outside and explore the core of Lucerne.
The location was very quiet (no cars on street outside) and it was ideal for sightseeing, shopping and restaurants.
The rooms and bathroom were a little scruffy and need updating.
Proximity to downtown. Easy to walk everywhere. Friendly, courteous service. Clean. The beds were comfortable and the room has a lock box for valuables. It was nice to have access to the bar and breakfast room at the associated Hotel accross the street.
The room was very small, with outdated decor. The bathroom was tiny and very dark and the light switch to the bathroom was near the door to the room. With the window open there is a lot of noise from the street when people walk home from bars at night.
upgrade us to hotel where we check-in just opposite pension rosli, room not clean and only bathing towels changed daily not the rest.Emptied tissues not replaced.
Small room and cleaner didnot tidy bed only clear dustbins. Didnot vacuum floor at all.
When we got there, we were informed that there were no rooms in the Pension Rosli, so they upgraded us to the Hotel Balestor (across the street, and where you have to check in for the Rosli). Room was nice, bathroom fine, no problem with wi-fi in room.
Furnishings a bit shoddy, shower cramped is as usual, but no serious complaints. Would have preferred to have breakfast included--18 francs per person seemed too steep.
We've been upgraded to Hotel Balertor which is the same company on the other side of the street. It had small but not too clean rooms with fan, nice stuff and a small pool to cool down after hot summer days.
