Pros. There is no reason that Okko Hotels Lyon Pont Lafayette, should not be a decent hotel.
Cons. The management of Okko Hotels Lyon Pont Lafayette did not seem to take the health of their guests very seriously. I have allergies but a very poor sense of smell, so the first few days of my stay I was unable to pin down the bad smell in my room. On the third day when the smell got much, much worse and I started having problems with my allergies I realized it was mold. Mold could give me an asthma attack. The guy at the front desk tried to fix the problem but only made it worse. He was nice but informed me that in spite of my health concerns there was nothing more that he could do. They had no more rooms so I would have to spend the night there. They seemed to have no one on call that could fix serious problems, and no policy to deal with this type of issue. I contacted Hotel.com who tried to fix the problem but Okko never answered their calls. So in December I slept with the windows open. The next day they changed my room. I asked four times to speak to their manager to explain how series this could be as a problem and that they did not want to make someone seriously ill. I was there for three more days and was never contacted by anyone in management. It really did not seem like they took the health of their guest very seriously.
Pros. The staff were all young and obliging very nice experience
Cons. The rooms were not very comfortable with only only place to relax really bring the bed but I guess that's what you call funky!!
Pros. Loved the free snacks, breakfast, endless soft drinks/water. The rooms were cozy as well with really comfortable beds and pillows. Staff is also very friendly. The manager saw our big suitcase and gave us a bigger room, so we could be comfortable. I thought that was really nice, and he always had a smile on his face!
Cons. The bathroom door was a little uncomfortable because it was heavy and wouldn't stay open, but that was a minor discomfort compared to everything else.
Pros. The central location, view of the Rhone River, nice room, great terrace, breakfast, and very professional and helpful staff.
Cons. strange perfume smell to the room.
