9.0 Excellent
Pros: Great Location just far enough away from the main tourist area but only a 10 minute walk to St Marks Square. Room was superb, and the staff were excellent especially in the bar.
Cons: Slowest toaster I have ever come across.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was excellent & the staff more than helpful. Happily recommend to visitors.
Cons: Difficult navigating to the hotel from Ferry
6.0 Good
Pros: Location was great Staff v helpful We made a mistake in not having breakfast It looked delicious on a beautiful doningroom
Cons: Steps into our room very close to the main stairs- dangerous
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Delightful refurbished old hotel. Can arrive by water taxi. Fabulous small but high quality breakfast spread. Very helpful reception staff. Welcome drink in the evening was a lovely touch. Lounge of 1st floor lovely and not often used. Rooms retain existing features. We booked suite with high ceilings, art work and small balcony to overlook canal. Some good restaurants in square. Short walk to St. Mark's Sq and Rialto Bridge.
Cons: Rooms on canal side are quite dark. Balcony very small - really just so you can stand out and look at canal. Rooms overlooking square will get sunlight. Shower has to be hand held. If use wall attachment floods bathroom. Understand this has to be case to retain original features in bathroom - but maybe a note or explanation on checking in would be a good idea. We had 2 extra beds in sitting room for our kids which worked well (lots of space). They had to come through our room to use the bathroom, which was fine for a couple of nights.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Cleanliness, location, comfort, good selection of buffet breakfast, customer service, free water taxi to Murano for glass factory and sale gallery.
Cons: No free bottled water for hotel guests
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Awesome location, clean and spacious room. Staff was First Class!
Hotel Al Codega - Venice - Building
2
9.4 Excellent (1,281 reviews)
Overview Reviews
With a stay at Hotel Al Codega in Venice (San Marco), you'll be within a 5-minute walk of St. Mark's Square and Grand Canal. Featured amenities include complimentary newspapers in the lobby, a 24-hour front desk, and multilingual staff.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast: original and very good. Location: perfect as long as you don't insist on a canal-side view (but could be hard to find when returning late!). Room: we chose superior and found it excellent; decent bathroom (with bath), comfortable bed, small sitting room/3rd bed.
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Once we located the hotel it was so central. Walk to San Narco less than 4mins and Rialto, similar. Very central. Staff throughout our stay were excellent. Breakfast was excellent.
Cons: A little difficult to find initially. Don’t trust google maps. Other than that, no negatives to report.
6.0 Good
Pros: The location and the option for a late checkout with an extra charge of 40€
Cons: The room amenities were for a 3-star and the price was for a top 4-star. The room was very small and was missing some key amenities of a 4-stat hotel namely: coffee/tea, body lotion, iron, a good hairdryer, sufficient plugs.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Quality of service. Within an interior court. Updated rooms.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great staff, great location
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Wonderful staff and great location! Love that it’s in a quiet courtyard but still steps away from everything. I had to leave very early, and they offered to pack me a breakfast to go. I’ll definitely stay here again when I’m back in Venice!
Cons: I had trouble finding the hotel, as google maps and gps doesn’t work in the narrow alleyways of Venice. The hotel is located in a quiet courtyard, and the only entrance is from a small side alley. It’s nearly impossible to find on your own without explicit instructions. After wandering in circles with my luggage for 20 minutes, I called the hotel and they immediately sent someone to get me. They couldn’t have been nicer!
8.5 Excellent
Pros: Hidden in a private courtyard this is a quiet retreat from the tourist hordes outside. Excellent variety at the breakfast buffet. Walking distance to all the major sites.
Cons: Like all hotels in Italian cities rooms are small and prices are high.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: location was so convenient to sights. Loved the breakfasts. Staff was very helpful and friendly. loved our stay.
Overview Reviews
The Hotel Olimpia Venice, BW Signature Collection boasts a central position in the ever romantic mystic Venice alongside a typical living canal. It is close to the Basilica dei Frari (the School of San Rocco) and few minutes walk from the Grand Canal. The position of the Hotel Olimpia Venice, BW Signature Collection makes easy access via car / airplane/ train or even cruise ship, and is extremely close to the Piazzale Roma and to the train station, a position which allows the guest to easily reach Venice making any transport of luggage, trouble free. Car parking, if necessary, is pre-arranged by the management. We have recently completed a renovation making our services more inviting: reading room, bar, Internet access and a nice garden, a real bonus by Venetian standards. The breakfast room has wall to wall windows facing into one of the typical canal. The bedrooms are all decorated in a typical Venetian style dating back to the early 18th century complete with private bath/shower room, hairdryer, air conditioning, telephone, satellite television, radio and mini-bar.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location Helpful staff Clean Beautiful
Cons: Pillows were hard
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Good location near the station, very convenient, clean rooms, adequate space for 4 people with 3 beds, comfortable.
Cons: For 4 people accommodation, they need one & half bath, also by now all hotels should have laundry machines at least one. They need to have a shuttle service for international customers like us from airport, didn't like the breakfast, eggs were smelling.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It was amazing ! LOVE the garden This is a lovely place and we will be back I will be telling everyone about it !!
Cons: I loved everything !!!!!
9.4 Excellent
Pros: The hotel has an unbeatable location as it seems to be in the middle of everything but a bit tucked away at the same time. The staff is very helpful and eager to make your stay as nice as possible.
Cons: The temperature cannot be lowered much during the winter so, even though is cold outside, the room can get very hot. I’m any case, we just opened the window a little and that fixed it
8.0 Excellent
Pros: bar service
Cons: room size
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Although this property not in the middle of Venice it is not far from all the must see locations. It is a five minute walk from the bus station and this alone is worth the avoidance of hours of stress trying to find your accomodation. Quiet at night but lots of restaurants and close to ferry if required if you don’t want to walk
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything
Cons: Shower didn't hold water in.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Even inside the room you feel that you were in Venice. The back garden was spectacular. The best breakfast I ever have in a hotel. Great water view from both windows. If I go back to Venice, I will not look for any other place, I will stay here.
Cons: The elevator was very tiny. You can't fit two people with their bags, but at least there was an elevator. Many of the hotels there don't have one.

Pros: Thank you for the most memorable wedding anniversary . Your hotel is splendid and in a perfect location. Breakfast was so relaxing in your beautiful garden and the food was impeccable. The view from our window was everything I wanted from Venice perfect. All the recommendations for dinner were on point. Your welcoming was so warm we really will be back as soon as we can. Venice is magical. Keep up the good work. Many thanks
9.7 Excellent
Pros: Strive to do everything they can to make your stay memorable. Went out of their way to make sure wife and I were taken care of.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The bed moved
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The service is perfect. My favorite person was Davido in the restaurant. He made our stay the best. Thank you!!!!
Cons: I loved everything about our stay.
5.4 Okay
Pros: The bed was comfortable and we had a lovely outside balcony
Cons: I thought the restaurant where we had breakfast was extremely formal and limited selection of breakfast. The lounge upstairs was very dark and drab.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Venart is an oasis in overly touristed Venice. Far enough away from all the noise and crowds and easily reached by foot or boat. This is a beautiful old palace that has been lovingly restored and feels comfortable and grand. The staff is exceptional in their ability to deliver what is asked and also intuited. We had an amazing room on the second floor overlooking the Grand Canal with ceilings that had to be 30 feet tall. Elegant breakfast served a la carte in the garedn or the restaurant. We will be back again to enjoy this exceptional property.
Cons: Non guests on the property in the morning disturbing the peace and quiet.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Reception staff were all very helpful and efficient.
Cons: Room was dark and did not have the view of the canal,
7.1 Good
Pros: The two front desk staff I engaged with most were lovely, knowledgable and provided a great concierge service by discussing restaurant and travel needs, offering options and making bookings. They handled problems and requests quickly, had perfect English, were professional and capable. The gardens were lovely spaces, the inner courtyard especially tranquil. The palazzo origins of the building make you feel more connected to the history of Venice, and the decor was fresh, reflecting the fact the hotel was only created a few years ago. The newness of the place means that USB charging points are conveniently included in the rooms. Fresh fruit in the room, nibbles provided with drinks
Cons: The lounge rooms were dour and were not appealing as a place to sit. The hotel photos make them look traditional but in reality they would made a good set for Miss Havisham’s house. Not helped by the fact they were not lit after dusk. I’m sure in warm weather the gardens would be the logical place to sit for a drink, but in cooler weather there is nowhere convivial to sit. The reception area is overwhelmed by a sarcophagus of a table (that exudes the hotel branded scent - available for sale) which takes up any room for communing. When we came in after dinner out and asked to sit in part of the restaurant for a drink (there was some life there) we were told that it was for dining only.... The breakfast was overly formal, stiff service, a la carte only with somewhat limited options. I guess there are local interpretations of eggs benedict, but this was the first time I encountered no ham, no muffin and no hollandaise. The classic room I booked had the advantage of a balcony, with views of the tv aerials of the city. In hot weather the balcony might be a god send, perhaps compensating for the very tiny room, no room for two people to pass the end of the bed! Mould under the rim of the bath did not meet my expectations of luxury. Housekeeping had a go at removing, but it was still there. In summary, a middle ranking small hotel, with middle ranking management, attempting to be luxury boutique. However, this is Venice and I’m not sure this isn’t the norm.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The decor of the hotel made you feel as though you were in Venice in its historical heyday. The service was exceptional. Breakfast was very tasty and plentiful. Drinks at the bar were very well crafted. No detail left to chance. We would stay here again.
Cons: Nothing.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This is a wonderful place to stay. We loved it! Staff was excellent very friendly and kind.
Hotel Indigo Venice - Sant'elena - Venice - Building
5
9.3 Excellent (255 reviews)
Overview Reviews
The tranquil neighbourhood. Venice is a fairy-tale of a city with palaces, cathedrals and museums to take your breath away. In our neighbourhood you can get your breath back again. It’s a place where you can escape the noise and bustle, experience genuine local life, and feel refreshed. This is a neighbourhood of true tranquillity. At the heart of the neighbourhood is Hotel Indigo® Venice - Sant'Elena, a converted 1930s monastery where a peaceful inner sanctuary offers further respite from the bustle. Our neighbours include the elegant red-brick Gothic church of Sant’Elena, built by Augustinian monks in the 11th century and known for its lofty landmark belltower.
7.1 Good
Pros: Nice breakfast, nice design & overall feel of quality.
Cons: There was a hotel-approved loud birthday party right in front of our room windows (it was on the first floor). Our complaints did nothing to make it stop. "But this is a birtheday party!", was the shocking comment from staff. Overall, the walls of the hotel seemed paper-thin.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: - Beautiful modern design - Great stuff - Great food - Great bar, cocktails and bartenders - Perfect if you come for Biennale - But otherwise very far from everything else as there is nothing in the neighborhood
Cons: - if you didn’t come for Biennale, its quite far from everything else as there is nothing else in the area
7.0 Good
Pros: Location
Cons: Price
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Friendly staff
Cons: No gym and pool
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything! Beautiful building. Outstanding staff. Bed so comfy I didn't want to leave it. Breakfast in room a delight!
9.7 Excellent
Pros: This hotel was nice, clean, comfortable even with four people in the room. The courtyard was attractive, and we enjoyed evening drinks and morning breakfast there. Breakfast was a delight with a wide range of options!
Cons: Location from venice's sites originally felt far, but a water taxi day pass reduced the amount of walking we needed to do. A plus was that the hotel put us close to Lido and its beaches, so we got some time in the sun as well!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Quiet area in Venice. The hotel location is actually quite good, if you take the public boat/waterbus. Very friendly staff with lots of good tips about local restaurants and best viewpoints. I’ve been to Venice a few times and this is the best experience.
Cons: Nothing.
5.0 Okay
Pros: The room was clean as expected. Nothing exceptional about this hotel to mention. location was a little remote from the main square, which was ok. It was a pleasant walk thru the quaint and quiet residential area.
Cons: The room was not as depicted in the online photos. The verbal representation of the room was exaggerated. The staff continuously barraged us to purchase the Breakfast inclusion. Which I understood to already have been included when we bought online.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location, the interior design, the high standards of cleanliness, the fabulously friendly and efficient staff.
Cons: The espresso was hit and miss (tasted like a short americano on occasions)
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very nice amenities, breakfast, and location for transportation needs.
Cons: Restaurant options are limited.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful location - quiet, lovely, green neighborhood a 2 minute walk to the vaporetto stop. Beautiful courtyard with lovely lounge furniture. Well staffed. Rooms well designed and attractive. All the modern conveniences. Nice cafe around the corner.
Cons: Breakfast at 9 euro could have been better, very ordinary, nothing special.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location
4.0 Okay
Pros: The staff was nice enough to say that they will take care of the complains and apologized. The breakfast had variety of food.
Cons: The staff was nice enough to say that they will take care of the complains and apologized but it wasn't taken care of after all.
7.7 Good
Pros: Hotel was located out of the city centre of Venice which is away from the noise, and the room is nice roomy. We arrive very late on the day and the staff assist us on how to get to the hotel.
Cons: The hotel is about 20 mins walk from St. Marco Square and 1 hr by ferry to Piazza Roma, therefore have to plan the time for travelling.
6.0 Good
Cons: Location. It is a bit far from the city centre and major attractions but still within walking distance.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Cleanliness, food, staff, bed, information source, location
8.0 Excellent
Pros: hotel was great in quiet location and close to boat stop so not far to carry any luggage. I did notice alot of people walking round venice with bags looking lost so great for finding the hotel
6.4 Good
Pros: very peaceful,clean too
Cons: very quiet in the bar in evenings, could not enjoy night in hotel, would have to venture out.could have been more of a choice i food for breakfast
6.0 Good
Pros: It had large modern rooms in a quieter area of Venice with some lovely green space but still close enough to the tourist attractions of Venice.
Cons:
7.6 Good
Pros: The hotel was of a high modern standard. The rooms were well equipped although not large , were fine - although the views from the windows were not worth opening the shutters. The breakfast was excellent. The hotel is in a quite location around 15-20 minutes pleasant walk from St Marks Sq. A water bus stops just 2 mins walk from the hotel. (and goes to the Lido and all the Islands, as well as back to the Grand Canal in the other direction).
Cons: The hotel did not have much "Venice" character. The pigeons in the courtyard were a real nuisance. They even landed on the tables and (although the staff cleaned up very quickly ) droppings were regular on the outside furniture.
4.4 Okay
Pros: Location was good, rooms and bathrooms were good
Cons: The reception staff were grumpy
6.0 Good
Pros: The location of the hotel is fabulous, away from the craziness of the crowds and the nearby park is terrific, especially for kids.
Cons:

9.7 Excellent
Pros: Situated in a more residential part of town - but only 10 - 15 min walk to all main attractions this hotel was awesome. Staff were ridiculously friendly. Place is like a 5 star hotel. Completely renovated - all high tech switches in the rooms. Extremely cheap for what you get. Will be only place I stay in Venice from now on!
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent service by very professional staff who were extremely helpful with all our needs. We had special religious needs on Saturday and the staff was very cooperative. The atmosphere was very special in this boutique hotel in Cannareggio area of Venice on the canal. Absolutely peaceful and serene atmosphere that made us forget all everyday concerns. We highly recommend staying here and we will definitely stay here again this summer when we return to visit Venice.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: great location and easy access from the airport
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Extremely comfortable stay in a beautiful hotel with excellent location.
Cons: Nothing
9.4 Excellent
Pros: My husband and I recently stayed at the Ai More d'Oriente for 4 days and 3 nights in December 2014 and loved it. Here's what we loved: LOCATION - The location was perfect... close, easy access to the vaperatto's (Venice's water taxis) as well as a short walk to the city center. STAFF - The staff was super helpful, friendly and accommodating. AMENITIES - Free wi-fi and breakfast. ROOMS - Comfortable, clean, nicely decorated rooms. The rooms are small but 1. that's to be expected in Europe and 2. We didn't come to Italy to stay in the room so the size wasn't an issue for us. Overall we felt we got an excellent value for what we paid. We would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others.
Cons: The breakfast was a typical European breakfast. The coffee was excellent but the food options were not to our liking. However, it I free so not a big deal for us.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Quiet location but still a fantastic location. Very luxurious and very clean. Helpful and polite staff.
Cons: Can’t fault it - it was spot on.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Love the location on the quiet Northside. Easy walk to bus-boat stops, easy to get to the grand Canal. Staff is amazing! We stayed here 3 years ago and it’s still amazing. Property is fantastic. A great stay!!!!
Hotel Londra Palace - Venice - Building
7
9.2 Excellent (994 reviews)
Overview Reviews
With its 100 windows overlooking the San Marco basin, the Londra Palace has been the the perfect retreat those who enjoy authentic locations which don’t just conform with current fashions. The view is always enchanting: choose between the San Marco Basin and the Venetian Lagoon the one hand, or the historic city’s roofs and bell towers on the other. Our Concierge Clefs d’Or and the reception staff, available 24 hours a day, will be leased to point them out to you. The Do Leoni Restaurant focuses on the unique and magical moment of the evening, without haste, with an elegant service where creative dishes and important wine selections stand out, carefully matched to the dishes. Our Bistrot 4172 menu, instead, has been conceived with a fast and light formula, also suitable for a lunch break, without sacrificing quality and the refinement of Do Leoni Restaurant style.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location and staff
Cons: Nothing
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic location, great staff. Views out of our lagoon facing room were amazing.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The location is excellent, close to everything. The room was comfortable but rather small.
Cons: The restaurant is nicely appointed but the food was disappointing
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Location of the Hotel was outstanding! So close to everything and on a beautiful waterfront. St Mark's square literally "round the corner"! If you arrive by private water taxi the dock is just outside the Hotel entrance. We didn't upgrade to water views so I would suggest an elevated position to make the most of the city view. Hotel Manager and most of the staff were fabulous and full of advice and local knowledge. Beds were lovely and comfortable and most rooms a little different from each other. Theres a roof terrace with 360 view. The breakfast was in a very pleasant room with views over the water. Both an indoor and outdoor seating area. Beautiful Murano glass chandeliers and mirrors inside. Outside a great Cherry piece of art. Lovely place just to people watch. Breakfast coffee excellent as well as the quality of fresh juice and meat selection, bread etc.
Cons: The breakfast selection is not as large as one might expect. Though if you like wine at breakfast this is available! Normally when we stay at hotels they will provide omelette or poached eggs etc as part of the breakfast though here this was a further charge which we found a bit strange.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This is a fantastic hotel that you can’t miss in Venice. The location is more than great given it’s not only very close to the San Marco Plaza, but also just in front of a waterbus stop. You don’t need to drag your luggage for a long way, it’s just next to the waterbus exit. We booked a room with balcony, the view was excellent! And the room was clean, bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was served in the room, and delivered by our scheduled time. We requested for a late check out due to the weather, and the staff was very friendly and helpful. All in all, our stay in the Londra Palace was 100% perfect, and I will definitely cherish the memories here. Whenever I get another chance to visit Venice, I will choose this hotel again.
Cons: Wish the breakfast can be served more as it was for two persons.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast A+. Location - GREAT!
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Location, room standard, staff.
Cons: Technical matters. The safe didn't work, the Wifi worked very badly. There was an impression that the technical details of the hotel were not taken care of. We had to do interventions to make things easier but I think that in such a hotel there should be a room prepared before arrival. Very nice breakfast but people mostly are on holiday there so should be open till 11.00 not 10.30.
4.2 Okay
Cons: The staff was very rude. Not the standard for a 5 star hotel.

Pros: The room was bigger than I expected, the surrounding Garden and quietness are definitely a nice contrast from hassle and bustle Venice
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The location and the Villa was fantastic. Also the atmosphere in the restaurant. Dinner was good but breakfast has more potential and a bit more to ask for.
Cons: Breakfast. Actually, the only thing needed is more freequent refills of all options available. They ran out on several things every morning and we had to ask for more even though they where open for another hour.
6.0 Good
Pros: The room was very clean, bed was a good size, nice a quiet. Good transport links to get into Venice.
Cons: I booked this hotel as it had spa treatments listed as a facility. We had planned to have a spa day during our stay but when we arrived and tried to book some treatments we were told that this service was not going to be available this week. It would have been nice if they had let us know in advance so that I could have made other arrangements.

Pros: Maximus and staff were so helpful and friendly. Really appreciated their assistance. Good location, clean, large room. Thankyou!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Excellent location just 6 minutes walk from the nearest boat stop and no bridges (it means a lot for Venice). About 10 or so minutes walk to the most attractions yet located off main tourist track and very quiet at night. Room was well maintained with funky decor and a romantic view to a canal intersection. Soundproofing was good, no external noise bothered us. Friendly team at reception tried to help us with a few restaurants bookings and our luggage since there is no elevator.

Pros: Great location 2 steps from train station and from Avis. we dined at the hotel restaurant, good food but too expensive. Bar was fine, people exceedingly nice. Got assistance from reception for booking someone to accompany us with our luggage to train. Reception extremely kind and professional. Room was good, in the renewed section of hotel, facing two old palazzi. Excellent shower.
Cons: supply of extras (liquid soap, slippers etc.) only on demand, but swift service.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This place was nicer than I was expecting. They gave us a lovely big room. Modern style decor. Staff were brilliant. While Mestre itself doesn't have a whole lot to offer tourists, there are some reasonable restaurants in the vicinity of the hotel. And the bus into Venice leaves from right across the street.

Pros: The hotel is very new and clean. We were also given a free upgrade from Superior Room to a Suite with Canal View! The suite was very spacious and nice; the bed is comfortable. The staff from front desk/reception were very helpful and speaks very fluent English. The hotel is also within walking distance from the train station.
Cons: As the hotel is located along the river mouth of the main canal, it will be prone to flooding. However, the hotel has ready stock of “poncho” for your shoes if you need them at €5/pair (cheaper than street price).

Pros: First of all allies it was a wonderful and let us check in four hours early. That was extremely nice and unexpected.
Cons: The hotel, the location, everything about it was amazing. Our room did have a little bit of a moldy smell to it but I think that's because they turn the air off when you leave and of course they are on the water. Again, I highly recommend this hotel it
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This hotel was very clean and just stunning inside. Great breakfast too
Cons: The location was a bit out of the way, but only 10 min walk from the main bus/water taxi main station

Pros: We were a mom and adult daughter traveling together. The staff were very helpful regarding directions to restaurants and attractions. The tide was high, so some water taxis weren't working and the staff helped us understand how to still get to where we wanted to go. Breakfast was a wonderful buffet in a lovely room.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything the location was great
Cons: Not a thing it was a great place
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful old building turned into a comfortable hotel in a central location, steps away from St Marks Square overlooking a canal. Room was really nice with six windows overlooking the small canal that flows under the bridge of sighs. Amenities were fine, service was helpful and friendly. Staff were all very pleasant.
Cons: Nothing to dislike.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Loved everything about it - we booked two rooms for the night, we had junior suites and they were huge and fantastic. Super central location, not far off St Mark Square. Reception very helpful as the tide was too high for our water taxi to dock at the hotel due to aqua alta- reception call taxi company on my behalf and negotiated a new pick up spot and on top of that he drew a map to help guide us to where we needed to be. Breakfast is great and we would love to go back and highly recommend this hotel :)

Overview Reviews
With its heritage setting on Riva degli Schiavoni, Hotel Danieli dominates the Venetian lagoon with spectacular views of the Grand Canal and islands. Also overlooking the Palazzo Ducale, the hotel is just steps away from Ponte Dei Sospiri and Piazza San Marco. The three palaces which comprise the hotel date from the 14th, 17th and 19th Centuries: Palazzo Dandolo in Venetian Gothic style, once home to the noble Dandolo family; Palazzo Casa Nuova, previously the city’s treasury; and Palazzo Danieli Excelsior, featuring guestrooms with balconies overlooking the lagoon on its upper floors. The three palaces house a rich collection of precious art and antiques that play witness to the city’s history, blended with contemporary comforts to meet the needs of cultured global travelers. Essential to the Danieli experience is its Restaurant Terrazza Danieli and cuisine concept, a magical voyage for the senses which retraces the oriental influences of spice traders and blends them with ingredients from the lagoon.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Chocolates each night were such a sweet treat. Concierge were helpful and friendly. Thank you!
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location. Hotel beautiful. Staff very nice.
Cons: Terrazza restaurant is very expensive and not exceptional in term of food, service is soso as well. We found 2 places in the city where we have better eaten for almost half the price. Breakfast was ok but not exceptional as well for the price.
6.0 Good
Pros: Probably the closest 5 star hotel to St Mark's Square.
Cons: 1st night in hotel, shower did not drain and flooded the whole bathroom floor. Had to call for someone to come up and drain the shower. He ended up pulling out a big wad of hair the size of my fist.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The Location is perfect. The staff was, for the most part amazing. The room was well appointed. The restaurants were definitely 5 star calibre
Cons: The concierge's were rude. They did not smile or even acknowledged me as I left and returned to the hotel. I was surprised, because when I stayed a the Metropole last year, this was not the case. They went out of their way to ensure we had everything
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic location. Clean and comfortable. Spacious marble bathroom with his and her basins. Excellent staff and service throughout. Spectacular views from the restaurant and attentive service at the ground floor bar. We paid for a standard room and got exactly what we expected a side room without a view but given we spent most of our time out and about that was absolutely fine for our needs. We ordered room service the first night and enjoyed two enormous club sandwiches (one would have been enough for us both) with a bottle of wine, all delivered promptly and set up on a lovely table with snowy white linens. We could not have been treated better.
Cons: It is and expensive hotel and therefore you need relatively deep pockets if you want to eat every meal there. Breakfast at 35 euros was expensive but the choice was fantastic and it was worth every penny for the quality, service and the stunning views.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location, architecture and staff.
Cons: Not one thing.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This historic hotel is simply spectacular. The public areas of the hotel (and some of the guest rooms) are located in a 14th century palazzo that still has its original staircase running off the reception area. Our room with stand up balconies which overlooked the lagoon was just lovely, with a large and well appointed bathroom. The location a couple of minutes from San Marco Square is excellent. The hotel staff were uniformly helpful. The buffet breakfasts on the roof top terrace are well worth the money.
Cons: Nothing.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: perfect location, very good hotel.
Cons: all was ok
10.0 Excellent
Cons: The only thing we didn't like was the fact that we couldn't start the air condition as per the hotel's policy according to the time of our stay. However, when we reserved the hotel, air condition was one of the facilities provided.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Was great .great customer service ..
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Very top class, lots of attention. When out of their way to please.
Cons: I person on reception on arrival who should have called for others to help instead of ignoring guests waiting.
7.5 Good
Cons: Aircon/heater didn’t work, my room was boiling hot throughout my stay. When checking out I overheard another guest making the same complaint so clearly an issue throughout the hotel.

7.4 Good
Pros: A lovely hotel in a great part of Venice, near St. Marks square. Clean rooms, nice breakfast.
Cons: Our standard room was tiny. We could barely open our 2 suitcases up on the floor side by side at the foot of the bed and pass by to get to the washroom. The room was just bigger than the bed.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Great staff. Facilities exactly as described on website. Great location
Cons: The breakfast was very average. On one morning I waited 20 minutes for bacon and scrambled eggs to be replenished having been told twice by waiting staff "its coming". I eventually had to walk to reception and ask for help. The bacon and scrambled egg arrived in less tgan 2 minutes! The in room safes are a bit worn. Having used many arround the world I had to ask for assistance twice to get ours open

Cons: I liked everything.
5.0 Okay
Pros: the room was fantastic!
Cons: the breakfast was very, very poor... limited coffee and other things
6.7 Good
Pros: The staff were very helpful, and it was incredibly clean. A fantastic starting point for trips to venice and very easy access to airport bus every half hr just outside door , fantastic.
Cons: Nothing to do in Tessera itself , if no transport.
7.3 Good
Pros: Large room, TV worked well, everything worked.
Cons: No hairdryer, even though continental breakfast was included and we had to rise early for flight. They did not offer to either compensate nor provide it to us. Also preferred cash to credit card which was inconvenient and troublesome at the end of our trip.
4.3 Okay
Pros: We stayed there because it is close to the airport & we had a 7 a.m. flight. Setting is pretty. Room was large.
Cons: Difficult to find as there is no sign out on main road. 2 women were talking @the reception desk when we arrived, one behind & the other in front. We thought the one in front was another guest, so we didn't interrupt. The woman behind the desk looked at us, but said nothing. After several minutes they finally slowed down & we said that we had a reservation & proceeded. Turned out 2nd woman worked there also! Didn't tell us that the gate would be locked in the a.m., how to open it & where the drop box is, not what we expected in terms of customer service. Good thing another guest was leaving @the same time & knew how to get out. (Scaling the gate w/suitcases wouldn't have been easy.) Just so you know it cost 15 E to airport- 5 min. away!
5.7 Okay
Pros: Close to airport. Staff was pleasant. Nice landscaping. Room was large with plenty of closet and drawer space.
Cons: Staff not always available. No phone in room. Breakfast only mediocre. Taking bus from Venice it was difficult to find to stop to exit.
6.0 Good
Pros: My family (2 adults+2 kids) stayed for 2 nights in an apartment consisting of 2 rooms with a kitchenette. Apartment was clean and well furnished. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Location is very quiet and perfectly situated to take a 15 min bus from nearby into Venice.
Cons:
5.2 Okay
Pros: Lovely gardens. Close to the airport; no airplane noise. Good breakfast. Large room. Bathroom is large, modern, and well equipped. Owner spoke no English but was very pleasant and helpful.
Cons: The a/c was terrible. The fan when placed on the highest level barely blew any air. The temperature dial when put on the lowest level did not make any difference. The room was uncomfortable warm -- day or night. I would not stay at this hotel during warm/hot weather.
4.4 Okay
Pros: new spacious room; pretty surroundings
Cons: v. limited facilities; despite proximity to airport, no facility to help us get there at a fair price
6.8 Good
Pros: Very friendly staff, beautiful gardens, convenient for bus into Venice which was only 15 minutes away.
Cons: Did not like having no door between bathroom/toilet and bedroom.
