Food! Lots, service, attitude of Staff, staff were only interested in bus load groups, not small groups. Facilities were poor, aircon not working, toilets leaking all over the floor.

We found nothing to be especially good about the hotel except perhaps the fact that the rooms we nicely situated. Although the hotel was ok, the game drive company associated with the hotel we found to be very poor. We went on a safari drive, leaving at 5.30 am., About 45 minutes after the start we had a punture. We then were told that the spare tyre was flat and that they had no jack. We were stranded in the middle of the Kruger Park for an hour before help arrrived. When the drive eventually continued, we never saw any of the big cats and we did not get back to the hotel until12.45 pm! In addition we were charged the full adult cost for taking a 18 month old child that sat on his mother's lap

We liked the specious rooms and the open veranta with the beautiful view to the river. we would prefer the hotel had an activity center instead of the receptionist giving very poor information about the activities to the Kruger National park

The redeeming factor for this lodge is its location and lookout over the river. And also the owners were very helpful. The place is full of junk. Some people might call them querky, but i hated it! Entire place needs renovation, the rooms are old, carpets are discusting, doors dont close properly and at one stage when i tried opening the patio door the handle came off. Extremely overpriced for the quality of accomodation
