The term "Mirihi" refers to the small exquisite yellow flowers found around this beautiful island. According to local folklore, the flowers can be used to "take away the poison".Mirihi Island Resort is located on a secluded tropical island in the South Ari Atoll, approximately 85 kilometres south of the capital Male'. A picturesque and breathtaking 30 minute seaplane ride from Male will bring you here. This emerald gem is just 350 meters long and 50 meters wide with a sparkling palm-fringed beach of fine white sand. Walk barefoot if you choose, this is as close to nature as you can getBlessed with white talc beaches, turquoise blue waters and one of the most amazing house-reefs, it is truly a vision of paradise on earth.
Pros: Staff extra caring... Delicious food thanks to the excellent cook... Marvelous surroundings and snorkeling place.
Cons: Too expensive excursions and extras. Can have better and more evening activities.
Pros: From start to finish the Mirihi island staff were welcoming and attended to our every need. The island itself has a beautiful beach and wonderful coral reef to admire the colourful marine life. The resort is kept clean and tidy by a team of ground staff who ensure the pathways are immaculate and a housekeeping team who attend to the villa twice per day. Lovely place and I would like to go back.
Pros: If you look for relaxation, calm and exquisite ambiance, wonderful food and customer service orientation, look no further as this is the place to be. Don’t let yourself be fouled by the size of this little piece of paradise. I could spent days and days on this so exclusive resort. Just very near perfection in all aspects that a traveller wishes.
Pros: Great resort with amazing snorkeling experience. Mix of white sandy beach and lively coral all around. Excellent staff and room service. We were surprised with a bottle of wine and lovely heartfelt towel on our bed. They allowed us to have early check in and late check out (at 5pm!) The whole crew were extremely friendly and welcoming. Mohammed is very talented and has a beautiful voice! And finally the spa was also a great experience. Highly recommended resort, and definitely won’t be our first time
Within easy reach of Himendhoo Thila, this Moofushi Island property is nestled on the beach. Regional attractions also include Ari Atoll and Malhoss Thila.
Pros: Love that the all-inclusive included lots of amazing drink selections and alcohol included too! What was surprising was the sea sports were all part of it including our snorkelling set. They even added in a dolphin watching excursion as part of the deal and it was just really great not to have to worry about spending more money! Overall a really fantastic stay with great options for vegan/vegetarian diet and despite going during low season, there was NO rain! Wow:)
Pros: The vacation was astonishing, the sea allowed us encounters with sharks and manta just in front of the beach, the staff is very attentive to us, in particular the Yoga instructor Jananta and the marine biologist Estrella are really a plus, we will come back
Pros: Everything was completely perfect. You couldn't ask for it to be better
Cons: Everything was designed perfectly down to the smallest of details. To say it was perfect is an understatement.
Pros: What we liked: Happy, friendly, professional and obliging staff, large villa with well screened patio, large intact house reefs easy to reach, sand beaches and shallow waters in front of the villas, size of island, bare-foot policy and uncomplicated dress code, buffet variety and themes, food quality and authenticity, size of wine list, size of cocktail list, excursion offerings, skills of spa’ masseurs, environmental policy
Cons: What we did not like: That we had to leave Constance Moofushi - after only 10 days in paradise
Pros: We were on holiday and we can say that we had a very good experience at Constance Moofushi. From check in people give you great attention and service. The all inclusive very good with excellent food ranging from eastern, indoceylon, maldives and western. Very good drinks with great wine list and options from various countries. Very comfortable and affordable accommodation. Upon our arrival we were given a bungalow that was somewhat distant from the restaurants and pool. My wife was in the final recovery from a foot fracture and the resort's norm is to only use bugs when guest is really disabled, we requested the exchange for a closer accommodation and were promptly attended to.I highly recommend and we can say that in the next trip to the Maldives this resort will be back on our list. Many thanks to all the kind staff and managers.
Cons: Everything was pretty good, but we missed at least one more restaurant with the reservation option.
Visitors to Maldives will find that the Diamonds Athuruga Maldives is a fantastic accommodation choice. This property features Wi-Fi in designated areas. Famous local attractions Snorkeling and Diamonds Athuruga, can both be reached with a short walk. When guests have some time on their hands they can make use of the onsite facilities. When it comes to Maldives hotels, the Diamonds Athuruga Maldives is highly regarded for its excellent facilities.
Pros: We loved everything about this resort amazing one of the best we have ever visited
Cons: We didn’t stay long enough
Pros: Extremely nice staff, good food, many snorkeling excursions, having one dedicated person who remembers what we like and what we don’t like, nice and relaxed environment. For the divers: we did a few dives and recommend the spot for diving.
Cons: Very limited WiFi (which was the least of our concerns), very poor selection of alcohol on the all inclusive (either you are really into drinking, or you will end up sticking with beer or paying a premium for drinks), after a few days the food selection tends to look a bit too repetitive.
This Machchafushi property is set on its own private white sand beach, a short distance from Maafushivaru Island Beach, Maafushivaru Island Jetty, and Vakarufalhi Island Beach. Area attractions also include Dhangethi Beach and Dhigurah Beach.
Pros: Overall is a very nice hotel where you can enjoy your time in the Maldives and relax.
Cons: The food options are a bit limited and not as good as we hope so due to the price of the stay
Pros: This holiday is perfect in every way! The transfer to and from Male and resort is seamless and hassle free. The daily spa credit made us feel very pampered by the friendly and experience team of masseurs. The snorkeling trips included are also very rewarding! Thank you Dhilley and team for showing us your passion! Nitu from reception has been so kind and helpful ensuring all our reservations were booked! Also Hafiz from Reef restaurant and Roshnan from Aqua Bar! All in all, we are glad to have chosen Centara resort!
Pros: The service starts straight from the airport, with energetic airport staff handling our sea plane transfer as soon as we arrived at Male. The staff at both bars were absolutely fantastic, very attentive and quick service. Snorkelling behind the dive centre was very good, lots of sharks, fish, crabs and octopus to see. Baby sharks, and Eagle rays continually swimming around the beach never gets old! All the staff we met were great and very friendly, everywhere you walk you get a "Hello","Good morning" etc..
Cons: Only a few minor things we felt weren't even enough to mention to the staff: You can only use one free dive per day, so had to pay for one of the two Manta Ray dives ($325USD for the two of us). Cleaning of the rooms could've been better, often felt like they hadn't tidied (bins not emptied, empty drinks not cleared away etc). Restrictive water sport rules meant kayaking/paddle boarding was only allowed in the area opposite the water sports centre. Compared to other luxury resorts we have stayed at, we felt a few things could've been improved such as a choice of soft drinks during excursions, smaller excursion groups and more attentiveness to food allergies (which we had informed the property of ahead of time).
Pros: Clean and staff
Cons: Many activities are full booking
Cons: Having to wait over 4 hours at Male airport and making over a 7 hour airport transfer between Male airport and resort. We arrived at Male airport at noon and were told we had to wait 3 hours to check into a domestic flight to another island airport after checking in we had to wait another 2 hours for the flight. We flew 30 minutes over the resort to an island where we were transported by bus to where we had to wait for boat transfer. We finally arrived at resort about 8 pm instead of the expected 1 pm, wasting the first day and missing out on the lunch that we had prepaid for. Day of departure we had to wake up and be checked out by 6 am even though our flight from Male was at 1:45 pm. The boat took us to the other island airport at 6:30. We missed out our breakfast which we had also prepaid for. We then had to wait over 2 hours for the flight to Male arriving at 9:30 where we had to wait 3 hours to check into ouf flight 2 hours before our departure. When we asked the resort why we had over 7 hour airport transfers while other people who traveled on the same flight of ours to and from Male, they said the other people did not use Booking.com and had paid for normal airport transfer which only took them 30 minutes to travel between resort and airport. When asking resort to reimburse us for the meals that we had paid for, we were told that it was our fault for booking our stay at their resort with booking.com thus the resort was not responsible. The Jacuzzi in our villa did not work, which we reported the 2nd day with it never being repaired. We had paid all inclusive which included the minibar which was supposed to be replenished daily. There were 2 days which it was not replenished, after enough complaining they finally replenished on the 3rd day. The resort local island day trip is a waste, it is 1 hour boat ride only to be walked to the center of the island to purchase overpriced gifts, then 1 hour boat ride back to resort.
Pros: Amazing staff from the moment I reach the airport till the end, everything amazing there, alot of choice for the food even though if you need something extra they will make sure that you will get it. I highly recommend it for couples and family with kids.
Cons: Just the pool in the villa if the wall is little bit higher to get more privacy from the next villa .
Pros: , all food was very good well prepared with good variety
Cons: They offered complimentary massages but the massages offered where limited and you could not use the massage for another person you either use it yourself or you lost it one of the reasons we booked this hotel was for the complimentary Spa
Pros: Beautiful turquoise waters, well-maintained property, comfortable room, and excellent service from staff
Cons: Need to take a 25-minute domestic flight and then another 20-minute speedboat ride to the island. Depending on domestic flight timing, add 4-6 hours to travel to hotel from international airport.
Wake up to the ocean at your door at this Thudufushi Island property, which is nestled on its own private white sand beach. Regional attractions also include Ari Atoll and Himendhoo Thila.
Pros: Our ideas of this place have been greatly overtaken. The place is absolutely exceptional and wonderful. I think that everyone can find a beautiful place to relax or spend vacation more active for example snorkeling (snorkeling on this island is unforgettable). The cleanliness of the sea, the accommodation and the island was high. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was mostly from Italian, Sri Lankan and Maldives cuisine and everything was also delicious. We highly recommend this hotel. We spent a total of 6 nights with a total of 9 family members.

Pros: Friendly staff. Many dining options. Rooms are big and clean.
Pros: The water villas are extremely comfortable and clean. The staff are helpful and the breakfast is very nice.
Cons: The sea plane as it was very cramped.
Pros: Island beaches restaurants staff
Cons: The villas , old shabby dirty
Cons: Nothing to say
Pros: Great location, pretty beaches. Lots of activities but very expensive - add tax to all the extra activities which is not really fair. Lots of variety of restaurants but maybe everything a bit expensive for what you actually receive. Beach villas were quite nice.
Cons: Service very poor. Nobody quite knew what was going on. Not very trained, all very nice but low efficiency rate. Expected much more from a conrad, am leaving quite disappointed. Was
Pros: Liked: 1-Location 2- Some of the staff ( Ahmed in the reception desk, Samia and Shayma, Abdullah and Adam from the water sports, and finally Faisal that delivers the food service) 3- Cleanness
Cons: 1- Rude staff 2- Extremely expensive resort ( Food, Stay, Services, activities, lack of percicion in Food orders like missing dishes and Cold breakfast when served in villa) 3- Air conditioning was not working it was broken and they didn’t fix it while staying there for 2 nights. (Sunset Villa) An expensive Villa. 4- Privacy (Staff Ringing the bell more than 5 times when they brought breakfast, second, staff kept coming when not needed, third, Sunset villa should be a private area and yet we see people that are not guests at the sunset villa walking along the beach and taking photos of our VILLA, plus we have informed one member of the staff but he insisted that they were “ Staying” in the second sunset villa that was available and he was wrong.
Pros: Perfect Service-Perfect Room
Pros: Stunning location, amazing blue water and wildlife Great service and attention Fantastic food and options on the island (*great quality but way over priced - see below) Peaceful and serene - we loved it
Cons: We've been all over the world at premium resorts but pricing at Rangali was the steepest we have seen. Location is remote so can understand a margin for that but we thought it was taken way too far - so far in fact that we skipped lunch the whole week. It was a shame as tainted the trip.
Among resorts in Maldives, Maafushivaru is the typical island epitomizing all that one dreams of when thinking of the Maldives.
Pros: Such an amazing resort with impeccable customer service and food. I truly hated to leave but will definitely return!!
Pros: Location, staff, facility
Cons: Food. Too Asian overall, poor diversity. Quality was mediocre
Pros: Liked the place the island the house reef the diving the beauty.
Cons: The manager and the food.
Pros: The customer service is excellent for this resort. Our dining experience was one of the highlights. Great breakfast, lunch and dinner. As far as communication, the property is top notch and helped us with all of our questions. We will definitely recommend Maafushivaru to others.
Cons: Really, this resort was top notch. I would say that extending the dining times on certain days would lead to greater schedule flexibility. We had a window of about 1.5 hours for lunch. If this could be extended to 2 hours then fine.

Pros: The small island is beautiful, quiet and really perfect for rest, snorkeling, swimming. If you would like to escape from the stress, and a lot of everyday thing, this is a perfect place for it. But not for party, and late night joy. This was our Honeymoon :) STAFF: The stuff is super-friendly. If you would like to talk, they talk with you. If you need a quiet rest, they leave you. They are really helpful. ROOM:The room (we had a water villa) was clean, with amazing view. Cleaning every day. The tap water is not drinkable. No TV in the room, but its not needed anyway. ENVIRONMENT: Ocean is full of fish and perfect snorkeling place. Rajas, fishes and a lot of baby sharks.(they are friendly, dont worry) Clean water, small "rainforest" in the middle of the island. You can walk around the island in 15 minutes, and walk barefoot everywhere. ENTERTAINMENT: There is a possibility to go for fishing, or to snorkeling farther (they provide the boat which transfers you to another location for snorkeling) - also possibility to rent a kayak,or stand up pad. We was here in september 2019, not exactly the main season. Maybe there are much more possibilities in main season. FOOD/DRINKS: We had all inclusive for drinks, but not for food (food only breakfast and dinner). They have a different menu for all-inclusive drinks and for alacarte. So you cannot have ALL tHE drinks in allinclusive, but for us the allinclusive drinks was enough. Cocktails, beer, non-alcoholic, smoothie..etc all on the menu was ok. Bar opened from 11AM-11PM. There is a possibility to order a special romantic dinner on the beach. it is beautiful. Lot of food was spiced with curry, so if someone likes it, it is good. They tried to have different courses every day, but still after 10 days, has become the food quite common and maybe little bit boring. But not bad. Lot of European foods - also chicken. And the grill nights (2times in 10 days) were grilles fresh fishes, octopus, calamari..etc.
Cons: Not so much entertainment. I missed the night programs - maybe some small dance show, or local musicians..or anything. If you are staying for more then a week, and you cannot do nothing at night only watch the beautiful sky, talk and have some drink, or sleep, -> after a week its a little bit boring.... but maybe this is different in main season...we was here in September. This didn't bother us so much, we enjoyed it!! Its a good place
Pros: The island itself and our water villa was beautiful, clean, comfortable. You can walk out of your balcony and your backyard is the beautiful ocean. We also loved watching the starts from the deck out back at night time.
Cons: Although most staff were friendly, some seemed a little standoff-ish at times. We didn't feel like one of the female receptionists was very friendly or helpful either. It almost made us feel bad asking for any help or questions. Wifi was not great, kept dropping in and out.
Pros: Room and island
Pros: Perfect location for relaxation, nice facility, good choice for honeymooners and couples, they have very good massage
Cons: Not recommended for single person since no night entertainment although it was mentioned in the website. Food choices are average and very expensive, no clear instructions given about seaplane there was no sign at the airport and i had to ask random people. Again the return seaplane instructions were not clear one day before i was informed to leave the room at 12:00 noon and my seaplane will arrive at 04:00 PM. I had to stay waiting at the bar doing nothing.
Pros: Amazing island, tiny, a lovely paradise! Attentive staff and good service, always friendly. We only stayed for 4 nights, which was sufficient to discover all about the place We liked the baby-sharks very much, which you could always see (up to 8 sharks on the same time) Snorkelling was great, with many adult sharks, some turtles, sting&eagle rays, sepia and much more The buffet is small, but very well done!
Cons: The boat transfer to our next island was ridiculously expensive
Pros: The food was amazing. The staff were super nice and accommodating. The island overall was amazing
Cons: The communication on day trips to be a little more clearer.
Pros: Everything is good -people ,acomodation, beach ,food.
Pros: Kevin was nice and other tourists.
Cons: Did not give me a receipt for diving even I asked for four times! Dive master behavior was rude when I asked if I could have some of my money back because my ear was inflamed and the doctor said I could not dive for many weeks. I took 10 dive package. I Dive couple times. did not give back any money. Even I have a doctor's certificate. Room cleaning was one time in two weeks.
Pros: Calm and nice. Good diving
Cons: Long distance to the guesthouse but ths staff was very helpfull to brinv You withe the diveboat.
Pros: If you need to enjoy the naturally riched beach and calmness thrn come here... It worth your time ...
Cons: I didn't like the less time I came with but it was an excellent pleasure...
Pros: Very friendly staffs and offering excellent excursions and activities. The chef is good and offer outstanding dishes.
Pros: The island is very quiet and deserves to be visited, the beaches are beautiful. The guest house is very welcoming and the rooms very clean. But let's talk about the staff !!! We met nice and helpful people! Ahmed always made us laugh and was always thoughtful. Ahmed and Siyaz are experienced divers and very competent, even the equipment is new, well maintained, high quality and always serviced. They could provide many type of excursion!Kevin was kind, polite and helpful but above all an hard worker. Even the chef has worked hard to cook various food cooked with passion. We found great friends, see you soon guys !!
Pros: Personel, food, bikini beach.
