10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff was very greeting and friendly
Cons: The drunks at night by the park
9.4 Excellent
Pros: It is a nice hotel but no nicer than the Canalta, Oyen AB we stayed in the night before. Is a matter of fact the Canalta was much, much more spacious with a mini sink and microwave. The Canalta was also almost $100. less per night. Also there appears to be no special deals to be found on any of the travel search engines like there are for many other hotels.View of the river was great and the staff were lovely at The James.

Cons: I have stayed here many times and book under different travel sites , last night the hotel was not busy and yet I was placed on the 4th floor with a window facing not a very favourable view, if it’s not busy why are you placing me there ? If that’s what Booking.com is given for room choices then I will never book on your site again , I left a very favourable review on another occasion I still love this property however I am disappointed as you can tell

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Loved how clean all the facilities were all the time. That patio was nice to sit at in the hotel in the evening. The staff was always friendly and helpful, I would recommend this hotel to anyone wanting a nice clean, comfortable friendly space.
8.2 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is brand new and was very clean and nice. The bed was comfortable and it was nice to have a sofa, desk and kitchenette. Decent continental breakfast and good location- very close to Prairieland Park and not far from downtown.
Cons: The rooms are not sound proof and the doors are quite heavy and slam shut. As people started getting up and leaving their rooms in the morning it was impossible to continue sleeping. I wish the hotel would have been built a little better to prevent this from happening.

8.8 Excellent
Pros: Amazing breakfast choices with staff prompt and friend and happy to help. Despite the busyness everything ran very smoothly. The sliding door for extra quiet and privacy was nice.
Cons: I noticed a few long black and short ones too which were definitely not mine in the bathroom and tub area.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Nice bed, clean room, breakfast included
Cons: Plastic utensils and paper cups and plates
5.8 Okay
Pros: Spacious room, free parking, late check out.
Cons: Breakfast was a sad spectacle of plastic waste - cups, plates, cutlery, packaging, and the food options were very limited. Bananas were completely green and not edible. For this price, any hotel in Europe would serve a nice sit down breakfast with reusable ware. No restaurants nearby, not even a place to get a beer.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: It was clean and reasonable priced
Cons: It was very comfortable stay
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Very clean and comfortable, impressed with the amenities in the room and the facility. Breakfast was excellent with both hot and cold options

Pros: The hotel was comfortable clean and new. Parking was great. It was lovely and cool the room. The air worked so well. The bathrooms were very good.
Cons: It was kinda weird it’s 2 hotels in one. Yet the front desk guy worked for both so had to wait to check in etc
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff very friendly and accommodating. Spouse was staying there while I had surgery so had to request a couple extra nights on short notice- they were more than happy to accommodate him and made it seem like no problem. Staff in breakfast room were great- very helpful. Location was great- easy and direct drive to hospital.
Cons: Coffee
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Everthing.
Cons: The windows don’t open even a little to let in fresh air. A design flaw in this day & age.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful hotel. Way exceeded expectations for a best western. Stay here!!!
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The Location was convenient. The room was clean and comfortable. The staff were courteous.
Cons: I am glad that we did prepay for the room through booking.com. However, i did not like that fact that there was no possibility to pay a deposit for the room without a credit card. We were very promptly told that this is a one time courtesy that we could stay by paying $250 deposit through a debit card. We did expect to pay about that amount as damage deposit, but to have told that it was the courtesy of the hotel to allow us to stay made sure we did not return to the hotel but stay at a different hotel on our trip back. We have stayed at various Best Western Hotels throughout the country and have not experienced this. We regret that inspite of a wonderful stay will not return due to the Credit Card only policy.

8.0 Excellent
Cons: My credit card was charged even after I specifically said I did not want it on my Visa. The gentleman assured me that it would not be charged. When I go to pay, the lady hands me my reciept. She was not knowledgeable and was the only one at the front desk to manage all the check outs. She was rushed and didn't know what I had previously spoke about with the gentleman away check in.

Pros: Ample parking, central location, a lot of the stores and fast food places were in walking distance.

Cons: We did have some problems with the toilet. It wouldn't flush down. By the morning it was full to the top with water. I called the front desk and they sent housekeeping over. They plunged the toilet and said it was good. But it wasn't. I think this issue must be addressed by a plumber, just a plunger wasn't enough.

8.8 Excellent
Pros: Close in proximity to the SaskTel centre.
Cons: The only thing I didn’t like was the soft pillows. I like a firm pillow but that’s all personal preference! This is a very convenient location. We came down from Alberta to go to the Twins of Evil Tour and this was super handy to walk back and forth to the venue. Definitely recommend, especially if your going to a concert or a show of some sort at the SaskTel centre!

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was great, was a bit noisy but that was expected as we were there for a concert. We always try to stay here as the location is convenient.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The best thing about the breakfast was the waffle maker. The pool and hot tub area are nice size, but the chlorine was extremely strong and itched for the next two days, never had that problem with other places. They had two excellent soft pillows and two harder ones which is the best I have seen in any hotel.
Cons: Do something with the strong doze of chlorine in the pool. Could use another mirror in the room.

Pros: The breakfast was very good, lots of selection, but very crowded at times, due to the small space.
Cons: Breakfast area, crowded and a bit chaotic.
10.0 Excellent
Cons: They were really late in making up the rooms. They forget to fill up the supplies for the mini fridge and coffee maker in the room. I had to phone the desk for both of these services to be completed. They also need a sound bar attached to the TV’s. The speaker for the TV’s are in the back of the TV, it is really hard to hear the people speaking on the TV, without having to turn up the TV really loud and then all you can hear is the music

Cons: No, enjoyed everything about it.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Room was excellent
Cons: Need night light in bathroom
7.0 Good
Cons: Room was fine. When we went to leave, found that our vehicle, after paying to park it, was covered in tree sap from your parking lot.......Not Good!! Spent several $ and a lot of time trying to remove it after paying to park it!?
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The room we finally got was nice and a fair size.
Cons: The amount of time we had to wait to get into our room. We were continually told it would be longer and we ended up having to check back when we were told someone would call us. It seemed a bit disorganized and uncaring about our situation. Finally, one lady went the distance and told us the truth and got us a different room. However, we had friends who were supposed to be on the same floor as us, we ended up on another floor. The compensation for the difficulty was appreciated, parking free and breakfast. Also when my car came back from valet parking there was slight damage to it. Nobody mentioned that either.

Cons: One key worked. Had to go down to fix. Didn’t explain how parking worked. Didn’t tell us know about continental breakfast. Ran out of limes. Light bulb was burned out. Pipes squeal. Needs a good reno. In room coffee the worst I’ve ever tasted. Forgot to clean room one day. Next day only changed sheets and towels. Didn’t clean bathroom or countertops in room. Had a dirty coffee cup.

Pros: Location was excellent, was a hub of activity outside in the in the evening, excellent river view, lots of restaurants/lounges within the hotel to choose from, pool was hopping, yet you get to your room and is nice and quiet, even with an event going on at the hotel across the street. Room itself was excellent, would definitely stay here again
Cons: The parking was a bit of an issue, you can miss the lane to the back of the hotel if you don't know where you are going. Although we paid for parking, still wound up getting a ticket. The hotel took it and said they would take care of it, but seems like it happens a lot there. We noticed a few vehicles in the morning had tickets given as well.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The customer service was amazing! The pool/water park was clean and well maintained! We enjoyed the slide! It was very busy but expected at this time of year.
Cons: I am disappointed that you have to pay 15 dollars to park with the price of the rooms. Not have a continental breakfast is a downfall, the cost of room service and the restaurants are over priced. The room did not have a microwave.
10.0 Excellent
Cons: Noisy for our 3 rd visit. Do you ever have a floor with strictly adults. Away from teenagers running down halls. Crying infants. Elevator pinging constantly. That is my only complaint but it’s a big one. We stay at other hotels.......

4.7 Okay
Pros: The room was decorated in a newer fashion and was a good use of space. Free internet was also appreciated.
Cons: The hotel was under renovation which unfortunately did not allow us to enjoy the hotel facilities. The restuarant was very nice but the pounding and beeping from backing up of machines during the renovation was very distrubing. We did not enjoy the hotel at all except to sleep.
