Learn of the local history at the Peak District Mining Museum and explore the interactive exhibits and uncover the life of a Derbyshire Lead Miner. A family friendly adventure can be found at Matlock Farm Park which is home to a host of lovely animals and a fantastic play area to keep the little ones entertained, as well as a riding school there too. Head back in time to Crich Tramway Village and take a trip through history at The National Tramway Museum, or explore the magnificent Chatsworth House in Bakewell, a filming location for the feature film Pride & Prejudice as the handsome Mr Darcy’s Pemberley Manor, it is set within vast grounds and is filled with a magnificent collection including artefacts from Ancient Egypt, some of Europe’s best art collections, and modern sculpture.
