Cons: One long line to get food and drinks instead of normal setup with separate sections where people don't have to cut line to get a cup of coffee or toast. 20 people on line to get an omelette and none were happy with one overworked chef doing the best he could.
Cons: We were charged $250 for our small hypoallergenic dog even though this hotel was advertising as "pet friendly". We were not told we had to have a specific room. Very disappointing especially since there was no damage or evidence of having a pet and they refused to work with us on the fee whatsoever. I will NEVER stay there again!
Pros: Facilities were good - nice and clean and in good physical condition. Location was convenient.
Cons: Unfortunately, we had a couple with several children, including a baby, next door and late night (11 PM +) crying and loud conversation kept us awake. In addition we had some young men on the opposite side of our room who lacked the courtesy of being quiet after coming home from bar hopping - guess we know why.
None of this is really controllable by the staff, it just represents the lack of manners and consideration for others in our society today.
Pros: Nice stop for travelers. McCall is a nice town. Safe, clean, quiet. Location is good. Near airport, but we didn't hear any plane traffic during the night. Check in was easy and staff was friendly and helpful. Room was clean, quiet and bed was comfortable. Appreciated the upgraded bedding. I would stay here again.
Cons: Some trouble connecting to WiFi from our room, but could connect from lobby.
Pros: Ease of check in. Staff was very courteous, prompt, and friendly.
Cons: Carpets in the room need to be cleaned. Wear socks or shoes in the room.
Cons: 1. I called and asked about Wi-Fi and was told they had it. But the speeds were appalling --as slow as dial up and dropping frequently. The encryption was WPA --which has been hacked and is no good.
2. The room was EXTREMELY noisy. We could hear everything inside and outside the hotel. Since there were only 10 cars and many rooms, I assume this could have been somewhat controlled by staff --e.g. they could have distributed their guests throughout the facilities. But they piled us all together instead. The people next to us were loud, had a dog (in a pet-free room) and smoked (in a smoke-free room).
3. The beds were hard as rocks.
4. There was no dead bolt on the door. Although this was in a small town, it is odd to have such a lack of security in a hotel.
Cons: July 15th, I had a reservation at Bear Creek Lodge, I had the room paid for and had the confirmation. I went to check-in about 4pm and they did not have a room available for us. He said their records showed my check-in was for today, the 16th, however even with my confirmation showing for the 15th, they did not have a room for us. They also had no options or solutions. Only "I'm sorry we don't have a room". On top of that, not one room available in McCall or Donnelly or Cascade last night! I won't even tell you where we had to stay. Although the place is beautiful, with that type of service and such an inconvenience, I would never recommend it. They had no attempt whatsoever to make this right for us.
Pros: Convenience, spacious room with a useful efficiency (sink in the efficiency is a big help. Nice big breakfast room and excellent, friendly housekeeping staff.
Cons: Rooms and whole building in need of serious upgrades and repairs. Peeling wallpaper over the window was staple-gunned up; window didn't lock so heard outside noise throughout the night.
Unfortunately an article of someone else's clothing was left in the room. Old and outdated on all fronts; crumbling tile above the hot tub in pool area. No automatic doors to bring gear in and out - a pain. Front desk staff for check in was only mediocre, announcing our room number in front of other guests waiting to check in and not informing us about wifi or pool access code.
Pros: When I checked in, the owner told me she noticed I was bringing children so she gave us a room with bunk beds instead of the queen and double bed I originally reserved. My kids definitely appreciated that. She was very friendly and helpful. The building is old and a bit worn but clean. The beds were comfortable. The room included all the things you'd expect a hotel to have: mini fridge, microwave, cable, a dining table with chairs. It has old-fashioned windows, which were cute and the front porch is lined with rocking chairs and potted flowers. Very reasonably priced, especially for McCall. I liked the complimentary toiletries as well.
Cons: There isn't central A/C although there is a portable evaporative cooler in the room. Note: In the summer, fill the cooler with ice and water and turn it on when you check in. Give it some time to cool the room off. The blinds were annoying. It also has a radiator, which we didn't use as it was so warm, so it doesn't have central anything. Hotel uses actual keys rather than electronic key cards.
Pros: Very nice place to stay. Great rates. Comfortable
Pros: Brundage Inn had everything we needed. I was able to bring my dog. However, my dog got upset when we left the room and kept herself busy by munching/scratching the door frame.
I stayed and explained this to the lady at the front desk the next morning (I am so sorry that I have forgotten her name...but she is great!), and showed her my dog's naughty work.
She said that she appreciated my honesty and not to worry about it. What a relief! She was so kind. I even offered to have her send a bill to my home address but she said not to worry.
Again, this place had everything we needed, along with wonderful customer service.
Cons: No air conditioning
Cons: very old, small rooms. Sheets appeared clean, but floor very dirty, blinds dusty and towels small and smelt. There was a pile of dirty clothes outside the first level right by the stairs that led to the rooms.
