The Wisp Resort has been welcoming skiers and snowboarders to the Western Maryland mountains since 1955. What used to be one ski slope serviced by a tow rope, the Wisp has grown into a four-season premier resort offers 34 slopes, snow tubing, cross country skiing, snowshoeing, lodging, dining and shopping for all travelers during the winter months.
Wisp Resort is located on 172 acres in far-west Garrett County, Maryland near the scenic Deep Creek Lake and only two miles from the Adventure Sports Center International. Wisp boasts 100 inches of natural snow annually with 90-percent snowmaking on its skier and rider accessible terrain. Wisp is a destination resort that offers everything travelers need right on the property.
In addition to skiing and snowboarding, Wisp Resort offers more family-friendly on-snow fun along with three other seasons full of adventure. There are tons of adventure packages as well as plenty of unique trails, and activities such as golf during the summer on two unique courses. Wisp Resort also offers a variety of dining and shopping options. In addition, the hotel offers an indoor pool facility, hot tub, and comfortable lounging area. The recent renovation also brought a brand-new fitness center to the hotel.
The Lodge at Wisp offers six different room types among 169 guest rooms to accommodate guests and groups of all sizes during four seasons in Deep Creek Lake. All rooms were recently renovated with new and modern décor, plush bed linens, new mattresses as well as upgraded lighting and fixtures. Sixteen new Business Class King Suites were introduced into the guest room mix in the Tower Section.
