The room was hotel overall and the room was clean. Staff was friendly. It was extremely affordable.
breakfast, cleanliness, staff, price
I liked the cleanliness, ambience, location and display of artwork in the hallway of the hotel. The front desk staff were efficient but not friendly.
nive rooms, good breakfast Swimming pool closed for cleaning during the only sunny morning we had during our stay.
the comfort the internet was too slow
Free hot breakfast, ample free parking, nice decor and great location right off the freeway, pet friendly The room wasn't exactly clean. There was a hair in the bed when it was supposed to be freshly made, and there was old pizza crust on a ledge near the other bed. (We stayed one night and didn't have pizza). But for the price we got over it.
Quick, friendly service at the front desk, and clean, spacious room in a very convenient location (right off the highway). Everything was in good working order. Good area. There's also a great variety of restaurants a mile and a half down the road from the hotel. Don't expect much from the "free" wireless internet. I found it to be rather slow, but was still able to accomplish what I needed to (mostly research).
As good as can generally be expected in this price range Restaurant and room service were unavailable as the restaurant was closed with no explanation of why it was not open.
Room was clean, modern, and very efficient. I really liked the bathroom, and I thought the exercise area was interesting. The space was a bit tight.
Very modern, comfy beds, good cable channels, and work out stuff. Definitely influenced health and wellness. The outside patio was nice and had easy access to the street, metro and surrounding stores The rolly door was cool but you could hear everything going on in the bathroom. Also, you could hear most things going on in the halls from your room
The room has a lot of space and it is very clean. Staying there is comfortable. The staffs are very nice. There are many restaurants and shops around so it is quite convenient. The wi-fi is too slow so I can barely work in my room. That is the only problem I found.
Gouges guest for parking. No working ice machine. And cleaning staff cleaned my room 2 times despite my sign being up and me telling the desk to NOT have them come in. I had important papers in there. No safe available. Charged my kid 7$ for a hot pocket. Just overall not a good stay.
Good location. We unfortunately experience a disruption on Saturday, June 18th with the room beside ours and kept us up all night - I reported it to the front desk and nothing was resolved and/or addressed.
Large and comfortable rooms. Pleasantly surprised.
Not easy to find
Bar restaurant with friendly staff and dinner menu that although limited, is pretty good close to the Rio entertainment complex. Reasonably priced. Breakfast buffet not included. Buffet was very limited for $12 and both times everything was cold. My French toast was dry, cold and crunch. Ordered from the menu on my previous stay. if was better.
The stay was comfortable overall. The staff were friendly. The bathroom floor was sticky indicating some dirt not properly cleaned. I spread a towel over it.
gym, pool The bed covers are too thick, made falling asleep difficult
Beds were ridiculously comfortable We liked everything, except for the the complimentary shampoo. It sucked. But, it was free.
Very easy check-in, comfortable room and bedding and nice staff. Can't ask for more in a hotel. Not the hostels fault but the family staying above me was incredibly loud. I wish the staff knew to put a solo travelers room away from a family with children and an infant.
The attention of the staff to my needs.
Close to metro Beds are uncomfortable and squeaky "Lounge" is a joke. It's a small fridge with sodas and a microwave. Wifi doesn't work in some of the rooms. Customer service is awful.
The only problem is that they chatge for parking 12$ while it is not a crowded area with a lot of malls and parking
The rooms are clean and the location is convenient. There was not a microwave in the room. The floors didn't have soda machines. The charge for parking is too high.
Very comfortable and pleasant
We loved the interior of the hotel, and the fact that it was literally next to a Metro station. The staff was super, and we had a wonderful time.
Clean and nice rooms Be careful! They gave me a different rate than that I got from booking.com. I had to call booking.com to solve the problem and they did. Moreover, the internet in the rooms was not working!
Very Clean. The lifeguard at the pool was very helpful and friendly. The café.....we arrived in the café at 6:50 and was told that they did not open until, so we sat and waited. When we were told that we could order, we placed our order. My husband received his oatmeal in 10 minutes, toast in 15 and then a staff member told me that my order would be out shortly. After 25 minutes we questioned where it was and the staff member told us that they had technical difficulties and it would be out Shortly, besides we were early and they were not ready for us!!!!!??? When I received my eggs, she told us that they would not charge us. This was 35 minutes after they opened at 7. The food was good, the staff member really had a" people skills" problem. I will go to this Courtyard again as it is convenient for us, but I shall not eat there.
Hotel under construction. Complete mess. Poor parking. Closed entrance. Slow elevators. Bad room service.
Staff were excellent! Highly recommend staying here.
Hotel was clean and staff was friendly. Great location. There was quite a bit of construction, and the elevators were painfully slow.
Great location (on top of the metro station and a short ride to DC), and good price for that location. The gym was satisfactory, and I didn't get to use the pool but heard good things. I thought I was getting a steal at the price I paid. Turns out I only got the discount because the whole place was under construction (right outside my door). It didn't bother me as I was gone during the days, but a heads up would've been appreciated.
Beautiful building. I spent some time photographing it. Efficient, helpful staff. Good location near Metro, for DC access, and nearby support facilities such as restaurants. One major point for me: ugly, inconsistent lighting. The building's lighting was very mixed, and thoughtless--or at least it has grown to that. Perhaps it was designed well 20 years ago, but now it has a wide mix of lights, from florescent to LED, and, more importantly, a wide, jarring mix of color temperatures, that convey among other things, cheapness. I suggest you hire a lighting engineer to analyze the facility and generally change all the lights to 3000 degree or warmer LED lighting. This is especially important in the rooms. Your clients will (without knowing why) then feel that they are in a luxurious facility. At this moment, it could be any cheap, roadside motel, if judged by the lighting.
Very nice room and facilities, great location, friendly staff, certainly would return. One complaint is that the room was overheated at night and no apparent way to lower the thermostat. The last night seemed a bit better for some reason. Also there was a dust rag left in the bathroom one day, and the area around the TV, inside the cabinet was quite dusty. See above.
Excellent service. Clean, sleek, modern facility Main entrance under construction, made it difficult to access upon arrival
When we pulled into the hotel it was a windy and snowy day.. I've stayed at this hotel before so I waited several minutes for the valet to come out.. Or at the very least a bellman to help me. Neither of which happened. Was told that I could park in the garage and then take the elevator up and out to hotel. Even the parking garage was a DISASTER from all the construction. I then had to pay for parking, and I didn't have to when I stayed a year prior. There was also a miscellaneous $40 charge ion my CC from hyatt. This was in addition to the $50 hold they usually put on a CC. Not ONE person could tell me what it was from since nothing from the room had been charged. While the room itself was nicely renovated I wouldn't stay here again. Extremely disappointed
The location was excellent and we got a great deal. Sadly the deal was most likely because the hotel was under construction, which we didnt know before we booked. There was a ton of noise early in the morning and a lot of construction-related dust. My whole family and I ended up with allergy-related respiratory issues due to the dust. Also, my mother who was traveling with us, left her diabetes insulin pen behind accidentally. The hotel staff was largely unhelpful in trying to find it.
Attention to needs of customer. Great location for our purposes. Clean rooms. Building interior design funnels noise from lobby area up , making it a little noisy if you need to get an early rest. If you go to bed late, it's not a problem.
I was very disappointed that breakfast was not included with the price of the room. I did not realize this until I went to take something to eat and was told that I had to pay I have stayed in many, many less expensive hotels and in ALL of them there was a free breakfast including fruit, breads, eggs, coffee/tea etc. I was not happy about this situation,at all. I will consider staying in other hotels from now on.
nice new bedroom decor VERY POOR LIGHTING in the bedrooms!!!! NO ONE answered the phone despite calling several numbers including the operator tea bags not replaced the following day
Comfy beds, remodel is very modern. Low ceilings, outlet placement seems inconvenient
Staff was very attentive, easy free shuttle to nearby Metro stop, quiet clean room with comfortable beds! Bethesda city center offers lots of restaurants.
We traveled a LONG 10hrs overnight, arrived at 8a. I thought I was going to have to either beg or pay to be able to check in early. Got there and without a problem at all, we got a room. The curtains were dark and the beds were glorious! We only stayed one night, then carried on another day of travel, arrived at our next hotel and what a difference.. Cute little town and very easy to get into DC. We ate at the restaurant.. Very over priced and not that good.
I like the location and the facility. Great stace and amenities. The bathroom door was a sliding bathroom door. The door had several opens that potentially invaded the privacy of other members that stayed with me. The door did not block any indoor bathroom sound.
From the moment I walked in I was blown away by the design and look of the lobby. (Though parking was somewhat confusing as there was a lack of signage), I was immediately taken under the front desk attendant's wing as he greeted me warmly and started up a bit of small talk instead of just business. This was much appreciated as I had been in the car alone for about five hours and welcomed a friendly conversation. He was extremely helpful, friendly and welcoming. His directions were clear. As I entered my room on the sixth floor, I was astonished at where I was staying for what I paid. It was beautiful. The bed was unbelievably comfortable, the set up of the room had a positive flow and made sense. It was spacious, a perfect temperature upon arrival and far exceeded my needs for the one night stay. At around 9PM I ordered room service from the hotel restaurant (after the front desk attendant had made a very convincing pitch). When my burger, fries and soda arrived, it arrived in a neatly packaged bag/box lunch-like contraption. No carts, no dishes, no fuss. The food was AMAZING. For the price of room service, I usually steer clear as the food is often soggy, small portions and bland by the time it gets to your room. Not here! Delicious! Locally sourced ingredients, very fair price and the most creative packaging I have ever seen come out of a room service. I am very much looking forward to my next business trip in Bethesda! Ha! I liked it all!
Free parking It's 2016, people-- you can't charge for wifi!! I'm not talking about those upgrades they normally try to sell you-- even basic internet was $12 a day.
Simple and relatively nice. Price mostly. Then again most hotels around the area are surprisingly expensive for how modest the rooms and service are.
Room was big The coffee pot was small the cup was also to small
staff was friendly, room decor was updated bath room light needed replaced...i requested a quiet room away from noise. i was placed in a corner room next to housekeeping staff hallway.
Location Staff cancelled reservation that was duplicated. Refused to award points for stay with redicard. Refused to give paper copy of receipt at checkout. For a Red Roof PLUS... Rate higher for less room amenities than room for half the price of non-plus property.
Very friendly and helpful staff.
Atmosphere. Extremely clean. Friendly staff
breakfast was very good. rooms were good. staff was good. one elevator out of three working wasn't fixed for the entire 4 night stay. breakfast not included
Quiet room, well maintained. Restaurant a bit expensive for breakfast.
the room was large and comfortable. although the hotel is not new, it has been well cared for. free wireless high speed internet was easy to access. it's about a six block walk to the red line of the metro. the hotel seemed confused by my reservation through booking.com. when i checked out they had charged me a much higher rate. while they eventually rectified the situation, it took some time. they seemed unfamiliar with how reservations are made through booking.com
The rooms were modern and clean with one of the most comfortable beds I've ever slept in. Would recommend this hotel to everyone.
the rates for the room and parking were very reasonable compare with other hotels in the DC area. The metro takes about half hour to the city, but you will need to take the shuttle bus to the station, and make a transfer from red line to blue/orange line, plus you need to figure out the complex fares for the metro! Breakfest is very expensive
We've stayed at this property twice, for an annual dance competition event. Hotel staff is nice and hospitable. We received great customer service from the check-in staff. Rooms were fine. Facility was fine. Hotel staff service was good. Restaurant service during our recent stay was very unpleasant, unfortunately. We were part of a large dance event, stayed in-house for a group dinner (25 people). I made reservations in advance. We ended up waiting for almost 2 hours to receive our food order. Some orders were messed up. There were errors will bills. I have a feeling that the restaurant was under-staffed, including kitchen staff. Waiter seemed stressed out and not customer-friendly. Overall, it was not a good dining experience at all, unfortunately. The following morning, there was a huge line for a buffet breakfast, which was very inconvenient. Everything about our breakfast experience felt very disorganized. Restaurant was not prepared for a large group, unfortunately. Many customers people were disappointed with quality of service. Our waiter was very patient and professional. Too bad I did not catch his name. He handled the situation as best as he could, with a smile on his face.
The staff is great. The hotel is clean and conveniently located.
Staff was very friendly. Remembered me and assisted me efficiently. Room was nice, clean, good amenities. Boarding pass printing station made getting checked in in advance very easy. Excellent hotel overall for business travel. Toilet paper and tissue was thin and rough, many analog tv channels, dining was expensive. Internet access was not included.
Requested quiet room -our room door faced the area above the bar and restaurant -extremely noisy. Would have been in bearable if it wasn't a suite so the bedroom had a second set of doors. Charged for parking
The wait staff at breakfast was very good.
Some of the stairs were under repair. Not their fault but added a lot of extra walking to get to our third floor rooms.
Nice hotel, clean and environment. I like the kitchen and I can't complain at all.! I really have a great time Just please give some extra towels.
Good choices for breakfast Too many people trying to crowd into the space
(1) Good location (2) Spacious plan (3) Courteous front desk I had booked three rooms for an overnight stay on July 4. Following issues were observed: (1) Toilet had water stains (indicative of no cleaning for very long time). (2) The bath room door did not lock from inside (3) At least one light switch did not work (4) Kids went to pool and came back complaining it wasn't clean (5) Absolute worse ... strong odor of smoke in 4th floor corridor. Make our eyes tear. I called front desk; they confirmed that entire facility was non-smoking facility. The smell was well entrenched. The staff did something at night to lessen the effect in the morning. (6) Bathroom curtains and fixtures indicate serious need for upgrade. In summary, I booked it based on Marriott name and was thoroughly disappointed to find these many issues in one place.
Sink bowl was broken. Air conditioner compressor (outside window) was short-cycling (on for 10 seconds, off for 20 seconds) all night every night....even though we had the in-room unit off (In room unit was very noisy).
Staff, cleanliness. Elevators sluggish. Room cramped. Seating uncomfortable. No safe in the room.
Staff very friendly and helpful Small ants in room
