Great food and bar, friendly helpful staff who were happy to help, easy booking and checking in and out. Pleasant decor in communal areas. Although I wasn’t happy with my room, the bed itself was comfortable.
My bedroom had a stained headboard and the bathroom was very dated. The room certainly looked like it needed a revamp and was very different from the style of the downstairs. I am hoping it is just a room they haven’t got around to upgrading yet, but it was small and disappointing.
Friendly, helpful staff who easily accommodated our request for sandwiches out of hours. Breakfast was awesome. Hotel had excellent atmosphere, .
Friendly and welcoming staff. Public rooms very comfortable. The breakfast was beautifully cooked using local produce. Chefs vegetable soup at lunch was delicious( I could happily have had another plateful). I ordered a steak and I asked for it “blue”. Well done chef, it was spot on. I will be booking here again in the near future. Very dog friendly.
I could only stay one night. St Boswells is a lovely village with a fantastic fishing tackle shop that is like an “ Aladdin’s cave”. I loved the hotel.
Very central for our needs . Clay Pigeon shooting. A tourist attractions
Maybe bed not under velux window. It was a very wet windy evening.
Friendly staff, Rustic log fire area was where we really enjoyed ... peaceful and good atmosphere Food good
