Location is safe and lovely.
I would not recommend staying here if you are "different." As a gay woman, the staff was extremely inappropriate to my wife and I. we were constantly being watched and gawked at - so much so that our friends (who happen to be straight) noticed and made a joke. Also the gross commentary (we speak spanish) were so uncomfortable that it made us weary of hanging out around the property. i would never stay here again.
I booked it because it was recommended in the Monocle guide and the description was pretty accurate. Seemed to be converted small factory, so expect unfinished concrete ceilings and polished concrete floors. Rooms with terraces overlooking the pool looked much nicer than my standard room which was pretty dark. Good breakfast with real fresh orange juice and nice fruit. Cooks seemed busy all day, but there were few guests when I was there (Sun and Mon nights). Good area for restaurants.
As said, the standard room was dark, with a window looking onto a corridor, so when the blinds were open, passers by would look into the room. Go for the rooms with terraces. The staff could have been more attentive. It was not too noisy on my stay, but the free earplugs don't bode well for later in the week.....
Overall service and facilities are ok, elevator not easy to use At arrival early morning (5:00) nobody at the front desk, hotel door closed Very difficult to find the hotel at night
The hotel was clean & we really liked the pool area.
The service was horrible & the sheets had a really weird smell.
Delicious organic food, all freshly made. Good location close to Paseo de la Reforma. Terrace outside overlooking a very nice inner patio with lovely pool aera. Rooms with comfi beds in modern loft style. Some rooms have a private balcony overlooking the pool!!
Jammer genoeg geen fitness/spa faciliteiten.
