1st and Last time staying here
*Location Very close to Wynwood, Biscayne Bay, close to Venetian Causeway which is a beautiful scenic route to Miami Beach. Free Parking (Miami Beach has tons of overpriced meters and residential permit parking) Clean floors and walls (no bed bugs, etc) Free late checkout!
Looks like a $40 hotel with drug addicts and street walkers that has been painted over. The paint/mold/humidity can not possibly be safe to breathe so leave the doors open like we did. Open doors led to a few mosquito bites, but at least we had fresh air. Missed breakfast Man at the front charged me an additional $10 fee in addition to the deposit and couldn't explain what it was for. Key to room is archaic.
Looks like pictures but pictures can be misleading
The beds were horrible like springy mush. The place smells like nasty moisture. The man in the office had a horrible attitude with my husband and made us drive to an ATM at 1 AM to get cash for the deposit that was not mentioned in the reservation. The towels were rough. I banged my thigh into the metal bed which gave me a huge bruise.
no HD tv
I'd stay again!
The motel has been around for quite some time, but it has been refurbished SO nicely! We were very impressed with the room, cleanliness, and the breakfast baskets were great. The staff was very helpful and pleasant and we hope we can make it back some time.
The neighborhood was a little questionable, but there are improvements being made there as well, so really we have no complaints!
It was clean and mostly quiet, at least the back-facing rooms were quiet. Built in the 1950s so quaint in some ways, but it was all you need to get a good night's sleep or get some work done.
The hallways smelled a bit like mothballs, but my room smelled fine.
