The ambiance and decor are delightful - this place has a lot of character, and it's location is onvenient for Minori (though the attractions of this small village are limited mainly to its location). Parking is very difficult and the hotel's parking garage is very expensive and rather inconvenient to use. Our room was charming but extremely small and not very well laid-out. The toilet facilities were rather inconvenient. Under the circumstances, I think it represents rather limited value for money;
Staff helpful, room clean, good location in minori. Had to pay 20 euros per day to park the car. Wouldn't go half board next time as dinner was nothing special.
Loved the location and the beds were amazingly comfortable. We will return. The hotel has its own beach but guests have to pay 25 euros to get a chair and umbrella. Seemed a little cheap to charge guests for beach access.
The views, especially from terrace. Great location! Fountain in front was not working, but everything else was beautiful.
The rooms were very comfortable, well furnished, and the hotel staff very willing to help. Breakfast was substantial and very good. The walls between the rooms are extremely thin. We had to move rooms after a very noisy couple moved in next door
Buffet breakfast was excellent, with a very varied choice. Rooms comfortable and clean. Dinner menu lacking in choice. No allowance for putting bottled water in mini fridge in room unless you paid 5 euros per item per day.
Breakfast variety, one of the biggest during our stay in S.Italy Overall location: Minori seems like a good choice as a base to explore Costiera Amalfitana. It still maintains a "paesano" scent. Hardly as overcrowded as Amalfi or Positano Expensive public parking: 3e/hour, one of the most expensive in S.Italy. Do not arrive at 22.00 as we did because you will not find any places left. "Dependenza" room: clean but overall quality low. Reading about the 70+ steps is quite different than climbing them with 2 suitcases ;-) All in all Dependenza of Santa Lucia is just the least expensive option in the overpriced Costiera Amalfitana if you are just passing by
spacious room overlooking the sea no airconditioning
Location was wonderful. Concierges were English-speaking and helpful. Is pet-friendly. Warm and inviting atmosphere.
good location for travel along coast, friendly staff.beautiful scenery and nice local resturants and shops expencive region of italy no where to park other than in the car park which you have to give notice if you want to get your car out. roads tricky to navigate
The room overlooked the Festival for the towns celebration of the Feast of the St. Thofimenia. The view of the ferstival, fireworks and Mediterranean was superb. Many steep steps to climb, no elevator.
Friendliness and information from all staff. Location
LOCATION WAS EASY TO ACCESS THE REST OF THE AREA
The room was spacious, the bathroom and shower was very nice, the view and balcony added a nice touch. Free breakfast was a bonus. The food at the restaurant for dinner was excellent, and the waitstaff was kind and helpful. Each person that we encountered at the front desk did not seem either friendly or very helpful.
Room had an excellent terrace/balcony with chairs and small table, Sat out there in afternoon and evening where we received a lovely breeze. It was small and family run. Parking was off site, in next town, so did not have access to it during stay, and had to wait for it after checkout. This was not a hardship but an inconvenience.
it is quite cousy, big balcony, vew on mountains is beautiful there is a noisy street under your windows - a big stream of cars all the time
Location is great, breakfast is good, great balcony. Parking space is too small, you have to leave the keys of your car to hotel receptionist and they will keep it and move your car around as needed to make space for other cars, if your car is the last one in the parking you cannot reach it because there are others cars you will have to step over them to reach yours, so you better don't forget anything in the car. At check out we had to wait 15 min until the hotel staff moved all cars to get our out of the parking. hotel staff is not friendly, small room, old building.
Staff helpful and the breakfast was very enjoyable with a nice selection and attentive wait staff.
2 minute walk from a gorgeous seaside. Cute, family run, nice place, reasonable rates. My room was comfortable and clean. I did not find it too noisy, it is on a major curve in the road so there is some traffic and honking, but I live in the city anyway, so it did not bother me.
Pros..good array of toiletries, convenient location in minori and I guess the staff try hard as well. Hotel is on a loop on the main amalfi coast road so is very noisy (particularly as most italian drivers sound their horn when approaching a bend). Rooms were ok. Breakfast was pretty scary - probably the worst cup of coffee I've ever had.
Close to the sea and to the bus station. Notwithstanding the particular way or to speak with people (screaming), the hotel manager was very unprofessional and without a client-oriented policy, we had practically begged for a few extra blankets. The breakfast was quite poor.
Well situated near bus stops. Balcony. Air-conditioning (extra charge). Parking space (extra charge). Nice buffet breakfast. They're stingy with the soap. Can be noisy.
Very good hotel near the sea.Shot cut - grandmothers house in holidays.
Staff were friendly and attentive. Very eager to offer advice about locations, sights etc and how to get there. Hotel Europa and the town of Minori is a great place to stay, particularly if you wish to avoid the real hustle and bustle of the Amalfi Coast AND if you are travelling by car, park it there and jump on and off the local bus at the door step of the hotel. The town has everything you need.
Well-situated for the beach and easy access to Amalfi.
Receptionist was very very helpful and nice. Sorted out taxi's and gave very good information. Room cleaned every day and hotel was well kept. All staff welcoming Pool was salt water (maybe to be expected being right by the sea) and this was not state. Also not heated so was a little bit cold on some days.
this hotel is one of the very best in the amalfi coast region, i did a lot of research and booking.com was brilliant at getting me a room there as at first I was having trouble booking it myself. In fact booking.com was a little cheaper so dont even bother going direct. yes some of the reviews on the booking.com site I think were a little unfair. It is excellent value for money in my opinon.
Room size, cleanliness and breakfast in garden Not much English at reception, breakfast quite basic
The staff were so accomodating especially the receptionist Anna. The rest of the staff were so friendly even the maid was so helpful. The hotel staff made our stay so enjoyable the views were amazing and the breakfast was excellent.
The Reginna Palace Hotel was the most perfect place to stay on the Amalfi coast. It is situated in a very convenient location if arriving by bus from Salerno or from the towns to the west. We had booked a regular room and because the tourist season was still a week or so away they had put us in the most incredible room on the 5th floor (top)with a huge terrace looking out over the coast and sea. We truly were not expecting the old world charm and elegance the hotel and its staff had to offer and we wished we could have stayed longer than one week. The front desk staff were more than accommodating to assist in any questions or travel bookings and were full of helpful information. Daily breakfast on the poolside terrace was a highlight every morning and we looked forward to having that wonderful Italian coffee amidst the smell of jasmine and other flowers. The dining room staff made us feel first class. The hotel in itself is beautiful with peaceful gardens full of flowers and trellises cascading with wisteria and lemons. It is across the street from a wonderful beach and seawall promenade and shopping, dining and sightseeing are just steps out the door. Maiori is probably our favorite town on the Amalfi coast and our stay at the Reginna Palace Hotel confirmed a return visit.
The Breakfast The room was very small, poorly decorated, nothing like what was advertised on the site. There is a charge to use the beach which is tiny and parking was very exepensive. It is not a 4* hotel rating at all
Great Staff, lovely hotel, brilliant position, good food, nice pool. Nothing not to like about it! Can get a bit noisy if facing the main street.
Everything, from the moment we arrived, they look after you but do not fuss you or bombard you with information. It is so relaxing, and it is in the very best position in maoiri, especially for the view from the front rooms.
It's location, especially the close proximity to the beach and a great hotel pool. The pool is a good size and deep with high and low diving boards. Beautiful tropical garden around trhe pool too. One staff member at front desk is truly excellent - most of the others are not multilingual and unhelpful. The view of the bay is fantastic. Hidden charges for beach use. Costly additional (but advertised) charges for parking. Scratch damage to vehilce while parked in hotel care. Very outdated decor in hotel. High cover charge for in-hotel dining. Advertised sound proofing is non existent and the surrounding area is very noisey.
the friendly Italian staff, sea views over the Amalfi coast where do l start ? there was no hot water every day, the only way to get it was to run the taps for 30minutes ...... on the day of the wedding (reason for being there) we had no water at all, the wife couldnt shower before and to make matters worse we had no water when we got back to wash our 11month old baby. Reception eventually told us they couldnt promise water to the 5th floor and had no other rooms !!!!! Friends of ours on the same floor paid the same for their room but had a much better room, they also demanded a bill reduction for the same water problem and got one, we didnt demand anything and got no reduction just a bottle of champagne. The pool and spa was very cold, unusable so. There hotel is a poor attempt at a 4 star.
Location was close to the beach and amenities. Hotel was quite noisy and the walls were thin. Bed was uncomfortable and rooms weren't very stylish.
staff was very friendly and hotel was nice and well situated for our holiday
View from the balcony and terrace was truly amasing! Room was spacy enough, with modern TV (10 music channels!). Liked private beach (10 EUR for two persons per day). They gave us superior room instead of standart with no extra charge. Didn't like archaic conditioner for making too much noise at nights. Room is pretty ascetic, with wooden shutters and no carpet on the floor. Ants crowling around both room and bathroom. By the way there is no bath in bathroom - only shower. Breakfast is quite poor, without hot meals and meat. In general, it looks like 3*, but with really nice view and SKY TV.
Nice Residence, beautiful sea view, close to the amaizing beach, atractive roads, kind staff. Residence car park-mentioned on webside that parking is free, but after booking there was announcment that we have to pay for parking 20 Euro per day. Pleas check before booking- by calling to residence- if parking is free or not ....
Brand new, friendly staff no sidewalks made walking to main hotel dangerous
food was lovely.views were amazing Staff most unpleasant, very unaccomodating, whenI asked why mini bar was empty I was told to get my own drinks at the bar. When I complained there was no iron, was told to come down and collect one at reception but that the hotel did not possess an ironing board. When I complained that there were ants in my room , there was no apology, I was just told a maid would spray them. Bar was closed every time we went to go for a drink.
The room was great, high ceilings with a balcony and What a view!! Staff was very helpful in how to see the local area by providing a bus schedule and directions. The great breakfast was on a lovely balcony looking over the sea. Short walk to the city center. Though pricey we definately recomend the resturant across the street. The mattress and pillows were poor quality. We had no problem using the bus from the Salerno train station to the hotel, but if you're not public transportation savy be prepared to spend a lot on a taxi.
Everything Better english speaking reception
We were delighted with the professionalism of the staff and its services. The employees went out of their way to ensure that all of our needs were looked after. The breakfast was excellent. The location & view from this hotel were exceptional. We would be pleased to return to this hotel but would reserve a standard room in the refurbished section of the hotel. Our rooms were quiet & very clean.
Wonderful sea view with two big balconies. Rooms were clean quiet and spacious. Good location as well
Antonio is an excellent host and could not have been more helpful.( and speaks excelIent English.) My double room was clean and spacious. The hotel was close to the bus stop, good restaurants and the beach.
Tony, the owner, was fantastic in providing information and offering help with anything we needed – from opening a bottle of wine, to booking a boat trip to Capri (at a discount), to bus schedules, to taxis and pricing. Also the location – right on the hairpin turn of the Amalfi coast highway in Minori – provide endless entertainment. We spent a few hours sitting on our balcony, sipping wine, and watching the buses, locals, and tourists negotiate their way through it. It’s almost like watching car Tetris :) And no worries - the noise is not a problem as the windows are great. The mattress was a bit too hard for my taste (and I like a firm mattress). I ended up putting the spare comforter under the sheet, and after that it was just right. Also, the shower is very small. I am 5’10’’ (or about 178 cm) tall and average built, and I really had to watch my elbows when taking a shower and washing my hair. However, this is seems to be a fairly standard size for Italy – 3 out or 4 hotels we stayed in had shower stalls of about the same size (although this one seemed to be the smallest).
The staff were all very helpful and friendly. The rooms were clean and comfortable, each with a private balcony overlooking the town. While Minori wouldn't suit everyone (it is small town with limited night life), there are some very good cafes, restaurants and a small beach making it a great location to relax and unwind - and there are larger resorts within a few minutes travel for those who want a livelier night or two
The hospitality provided by the owner and his family was exceptional. Very friendly and extremely helpful, they went the extra yard to make us comfortable and facilitate us with any questions we had about the area, transport, restaurants and more. They even gave my wife a bunch of flowers on her birthday and dropped an item we left behind us when we left to our new hotel in Praiano, 30 mins away. For value for money and friendly staff we highly recommend it.
The staff were very friendly and the location is good. It's close to a bus stop that will take you a short ride to Amalfi. The room we stayed in was quite large and clean. The owners, while friendly, don't speak English very well, which isn't great for international travellers. The hotel is also situated on top of a hill, so be prepared to walk up a steep incline a few flights of stairs. It's not easy when you have luggage with you.
We went to Ravello for a wedding and we needed a place to stay that was clean and reasonably priced. Maison Raphael was it in Minori. We don't spend alot our time on vacation in our room so this place was perfect! The staff was very helpful and friendly and answered all our questions and they speak pretty good english.
The owner Tony was very accomodating, and offered and gave any help required. The location was convenient. Minori was a lovely, quiet town within easy travel to Amalfi, Positano and Sorrento by Public Transport. Parking and air conditioning were additional to the quoted price, and there was no facility to pay by credit card when we came to leave.
The owner and family were extremely welcoming and accommodating nothing was too much trouble for them. Breakfasts were monotonous.
Friendly and helpful staff, a good location and a good breakfast eaten overlooking the pretty town of Minori. Our room, without a sea view, was dark, stuffy and not very clean. I don't think it merited a 3 star rating.
This newly opened hotel in a beautiful former private home is an as yet undiscovered gem. The location is stunning with all rooms having wonderful sea views, some with balconies. The staff are all very friendly and helpful - nothing is too much trouble. I highly recommend this hotel
Very beautiful. some of staff was like new and not nice, but some of them were very very kind. Our room was standard. Noisy from outside deli or cafe.
Everything was new and the bed extremely comfortable. Restaurant only in its fledgling infancy so no atmosphere and breakfast limited. Staff very helpful and most obliging. Lastly the cost was at the high end of expensive but Ravello is one of those locations where it is I suppose inevitable.
location to the square was cool view from our room wonderfull breakfast on the terrace so relaxing.this was my favourite hotel of our trip. I will return.
I loved the scenery/great view of the ocean from the hotel terrace, and location - Ravello was a magical town! Windows/walls were thin and could hear outside street noise
The fantastic views and central location, the rooftop terrace and dining area.
The front desk staff were very helpful and friendly. The restaurant balcony overlooking the coast was splendid. The hotel reception is close to the top of the building, with most of the rooms on floors one to five. To exit and enter the hotel, one has to get a lift from the lobby down two floors, then walk 50m through narrow corridors, then descend another few floors in a different lift. The rooms are spotless, but soulless, and in general the hotel lacks atmosphere compared to neighbouring hotels in this beautiful but very quiet town.
Quiet and scenic, with excellent food. Nice place to relax.
The hotel front desk staff were not only very pleasant, but happy and knowledgeful. Spoke excellent English. The food was excellent and the wait staff were perfect. Maid service was very good. View was also very good from room #5. Loved the classical music ! The bed was a bid hard for us.
Extremely friendly and helpful staff, fantastic views, booked a superior room and asked for balcony - got one with just wonderful views! Girls on reception particularly helpful, went out of their way to help. Wonderful eggs at breakfast. Free parking was a real bonus. Served what they called 'crispy bacon' at breakfast which looked boiled! My husband loves bacon but didn't eat one slice as so unappetizing. Staff at breakfast were quite miserable which didn't fit with the rest of the hotel staff.Food and wine in restaurant a bit overpriced and overated.
We were so taken with Ravello that we decided to stay an extra night and the hotel were very helpful and moved us to what we thought was a better room; the first was in the garden and a bit spartan. The great feature of this hotel is the restaurant which has occupies a terrace with magnificant views as well as serving excellent food, some of it grown in their own nearby vegetable garden. The parking arrangements were fine and the swimming pool at the Giardano was much appreciated. Driving to Ravello!! Check out was slow and the peace of the terrace was often disturbed by the small child belonging to one of the staff.
Beautiful hotel, outstanding views, and incredible service
The location views cuisine were all superb. The Hotel is situated in a perfect location with everything close at hand.
Everything was absoluet correct Nothing
both sisters were very pleasant, the hotel has a very warm feeling and we will be recommending it to our friends and relatinves travelling along the Amalphi no
The hotel was exceptionally clean and the staff were very friendly and helpful. It was in an excellent location being close to the village centre and the beach. It also has secure and free garage parking. This hotel is quite basic and not much variety for breakfast, ok for a short stay.
Location - in town with plenty of eating places nearby
The staff were exceptionally kind and very, very, helpful. I was made feel most welcome.
The family was very welcoming and helpful. We arrived early and they accomodated us. The off street, secure parking was great. It is only one block from the seaside promenade. Breakfast was plentiful. You couldn't beat the price on the Amalfi Coast!
Good value - very unpretentious pension. The staff were very friendly and eager to assist e.g. by providing an early breakfast. There is car parking in what looked like a Nuclear bunker - very secure but a bit of a hassle getting in and out. Breakfast was nice. Maiori is a pleasant resort and centre for discovering Amalfi coast. Two minutes from the beach and bars etc. Good value for money. For the price it was fine.
Cleanliness and generally good condition of the rooms. Friendliness/helpfullness of the staff and owners. The fact that it has a lift. Bathroom smallish but very well appointed. The hotel is on three floors of a building that is otherwise residential/commercial. Church nearby with bells that chimes every 1/4 of an hour.
It was a family business, Mumma cooking in the kitchen restaurant, daughters helping out reception etc. Very friendly and helpful and could understand english most of the time. Three course dinner for 12 euro was good homecooking, true Italian! Wire wove bed, slightly uncomfortable and small but considering the price it was OK.
location and the relaxed atmosphere
the staff were very helpful rooms need a makeover - they are dated and tired. Shower wasn't big enough to turn around in
Great meals, views ,swimming, Enjoyed the hike up to Revello. The staff were kind and helpful. It would be nice to have the shuttle available in the late afternoon or perhaps at 2 pm rathr than having to wait until 6:30 pm
The food was excellent and the service and staff were wonderful The location was great Its location is confusing - it would be useful if the website could state that the hotel is on the Amalfi coast road (ie not in the middle of Ravello) and that it's a Best Western - everything else was great.
Beautiful setting It is too difficult to get to Ravello for the evening - hotel should offer transport to Ravello and possibly other locations for the convenience of their guests
great location, excellent friendly staff and and very good food.
the food and proximity to the sea. Thats a plus at Costa Amalfi. For the price, was expecting a bigger room and bathroom, but not a big deal, considering that is an old construction.
The most beautiful location. Totally stunning. STaff very friendly. Should be more courtesy buses to Amalfi/Ravello.
Perfect location right by the sea, with uninterrupted sun. Ideal for exploring Amalfi coast. Unsuitable for those with dodgy pins!
Staff were extremely helpful
