10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent location. Just steps away from the old town. Parking was made simple by the helpful suggestions from Paul and Sally. Breakfast is advertised as continental. Be that as it may, there was a plentiful supply of fruit, cereals, cheese, baguette and croissants. The coffee is excellent and prepared to your preference. The breakfast table was in a word, elegant. Our hosts were vey welcoming, attentive and made us feel totally comfortable in their home. Our bedroom was spacious and the king size bed a dream to sleep in. The bathroom was large with a large shower or tub, whichever you wish. The occasional creak from the old floor only added to the charm. There is an outside sitting area which demands a bottle of wine to sit quietly and enjoy. This b&b is a gem, for sure.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The bed is lovely comfortable, we slept like babies. A lovely big attached own bathroom and truly loving decorated house and courtyard. The most wonderful hosts I have ever met. 100% caring and helping with everything. Every morning a lovely breakfast and a smile on your faces. Thank you so much Sally and Paul to have made this a truly wonderful vacation for us. Whenever we are nearby again, we definitely know where we are going to stay at. Kind regards Kirsten and stanley

9.5 Excellent
Pros: The location being in Mirepoix town which is an excellent town with a very good tourist department
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The is a B&B in a very very nice, large upgraded home with very large rooms. Every room in the house is fun - large and nicely decorated. The bathroom is huge and modern. The English owners are attentive to every detail. Breakfast was great, and would've been on the terrace is it had been warmer. Two to three blocks away is the main plaza and church, with many restaurants, old timbered buildings, and the site of one of the oldest and largest farmers markets in this part of France. It could not have been better.

Pros: Everything, the super friendly hosts, the view, the fresh cherries from the garden, the roses surrounding the guest terrace, the tranquility and more. Excellent breakfast on the terrace with mountain views was a wonderful experience. Short drive into town. Many places to visit for history or nature.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Spacious. Excellent breakfast with delicious homemade preserves
Cons: It was difficult to find. Our sat NAV took us to a different village despite us using the given post code
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The owners could not have been friendlier and more generous. The swimming pool and the location. The evening meal was excellent and the breakfasts good and very adequate. It was good to have a fridge.
Cons: Although meals were optional the self catering facilities were very limited: no plug for the bathroom sink, washing up liquid, or tea towels. To be fair we found ways around these issues and did not raise them with the owners. We appreciate that the shower gel was environmentally very sound but it gave no satisfaction whilst using it because it did not lather at all!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Delicious breakfast Welcoming host

6.3 Good
Pros: the location
Cons: no staff available
9.3 Excellent
Pros: No car park, one had to find a space in the square. It was cold until the heating came on at 5pm. The shutters were all closed which did not show the hotel off to best advantage.
Cons: The hotel was very central. Close to shops and restaurants. It is beautifully designed and built in the 18th c style. The rooms are large and comfortable. Service is very good. I loved the hall and stairs.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: A perfect location in Mirepoix. Although there is no on-site parking, there is a communal parking place quite close by, although at high season, this could be a problem. Good breakfast. Very pleasant room with good amenities. A warm welcome by the owner.
Cons: Nothing we can think of.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The ambience, the staff, the welcome from everyone at the hotel. The beds were comfortable, the shower amazing the breakfast wonderful. The hotel is so well positioned. Cons: Everything was perfect

Pros: Propietor Emma so kind considerate and professional. Amazing architecture, comfortable rooms and bathrooms. A palace! And in centre of Mirepoix. Just fabulous.
Cons: Nothing!
9.5 Excellent
Pros: This is a unique and exceptional hotel run by genuine hoteliers who want their guests to have the best stay possible. They accommodate all needs - in our case looking after our touring bikes - are genuinely welcoming and interested in ensuring that you get to see the best parts of the area and Mirepoix. We were upgraded on arrival into the most incredible suite in one wing of the hotel which was a wonderful and unexpected surprise. The effort that has been put into making this an original and boutique hotel is seen in every room and corridor- the wide first landing with a tea and coffee lounge area is beautifully designed and the whole hotel has a wonderful design aesthetic.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Lovely hotel, Great host and staff, Emma was very helpful and gave us some good advise on what to do, what to eat and where to go for the day (helped albeit as the next day was the rose festival in nearby Camon, beautiful village). Staff were extremely helpful and knowledgeable on food and drink and all spoke very good English, which was a bit of a culture shock as we'd been in the mountains (Pyrenees) for the week before we arrived (Zero English) all in all an extremely enjoyable 3 nights
Cons: No negatives other than we were advised by the hotel that we could park in the Cathedral car park FOC as it was just out of season but then not advised that the Monday Market would arrive and block us in, no drama as we didn't have an early flight but could have been a nightmare as when we questioned what time the market finished we were told that we were lucky that we didn't get towed away ! It's not the responsibility of the hotel I know but maybe some notice within the hotel for future travellers

Pros: From the warm welcome, the comfy bed, the fabulous breakfast and the new friendship we formed with Irene we LOVED it all. Chez Irene is truly a home away from home, and nothing seems to be too much trouble for Irene. We stayed for 5 days and she was so helpful; arranging taxis, suggesting places to visit and taking such great care of us! Do yourself a favour and stay at this gorgeous, friendly home... especially if you like puppies!

Pros: We really liked this hotel which is situated right in the main square in Mirepoix in a building with immense character and charm. Our room looked out over the main square and was large and well furnished in an interesting and typically Feanch style. The bathroom was modern and well equipped with an excellent shower. All spotlessly clean. Breakfast has was simple but with locally made yogurts, fresh squeezed orange juice and excellent coffee. Our host was very welcoming. Breakfast plentiful, sat outside as looked nicer than the breakfast room which was typical of a motel. Lots of parking and welcoming lovely staff. Perfect for our stay.

Cons: WiFi can be a bit hit and miss. It is a building with thick walls and this is a problem in an historic town in many of the hotels and restaurants, there is just no signal.

Perhaps he was busy, but he could have at least said bonjour. He did not make eye contact and did not speak. Just passed us the bill and did not even say merci or au revoir (I did not expect him to have to speak English). A bad end to an otherwise pleasant stay.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: This is a well-maintained, charming property very close to the main square. The staff was very friendly. The restaurant and bar/outdoor area are very charming and old world. This place is a great value!
6.8 Good
Pros: The location was great - just a short distance from the centre square. We ate in the hotel one night and the meal was good.
Cons: The room was outdated and in need of an upgrade.
6.8 Good
Pros: The hotel is very near the centre of Mirepoix. The breakfast was very good and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The bathroom was OK, especially the shower. The beds were comfortable. We ate in the restaurant in the evening and had a very good meal at a reasonable price.
Cons: The parking was on the roadside which meant we had to park some way away and carry our bags back to the hotel. The room was small, very out-dated and smelt stale. There were no glasses in the bathroom and the lavatory door didn’t close properly.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Well located, warm, very clean, and wi-fi, showers etc. all worked. Friendly couple running it. Good coffee.
Cons: VERY old-fashioned and dated rooms - if they were updated this would be a great simple, no-frills, good-value place.
