Staff was super friendly and excellent with my younger son. No need to watch him entirely. Great location if you're just doing what we did and stopping due to a flight stop over anyways. Just stayed two nights. If I was deliberately going to Fiji, I would want to stay at a place with a nicer beach. Denarau is a man made island, (although beautifully done; reclaimed swamp land), so the ocean looks muddy. While the main beds in the room were comfortable and had lots of pillows, the sofa bed was the most uncomfortable sofa bed I have ever slept on!
The most glorious place on earth, I can hear for the first time .. see for the first time..., I will come back every year! It really helped me with a school project.
fabulous. Loved every minute of my time at the sheraton. can't wait until I return next year.
There are several hotels to choose from in Denarau, and although I haven't stayed at all of them, I've had a chance to tour, stay at or eat at a few, and from that I can say the Sheraton is one of the best. The atrium and entrance are lovely and well lit, the staff helpful, and the restaurants are fabulous. Our room was lovely and opened straight to the beach. I would definitely come back. Also, the adults only pool and quiet area are divine for a break from the kiddies!
The resort was glorious -- beautiful well-maintained grounds, gorgeous newly remodeled room, lovely pools and beach, good food, and the most friendly, helpful staff you can imagine. Be prepared for lots of families, mainly from Australia and New Zealand, but I found no intrusion since their kids are generally well behaved! Use of the adjoining Weston resort is a plus. A really nice two day interlude for me after a long diving trip.
A few problems with service, air conditioner not working as well as should have in room, but overall would recommend. Food was very expensive. Quality in buffet okay. Restaurants excellent. Staff friendly
the staff and their attitute to their guest was amazing - they could not do enough for us there was nothing that we did not like at the resort
Position great as a stop over to go to holiday destination. They ran out of pool towels for quite a long time. Also during breakfast there was no glasses for fruit juice or coffee cups.
AC wouldn't go 24 C and safe did not work and repair efforts at both were futile.
We spent only a night there on route to the airport - and wished that we had booked for the whole 2 weeks. It was a perfect closure to our stay in Fiji. The lovo night was particularly spectacular. Next time we will certainly arrange a longer stay at the Sofitel Fiji.
We enjoy the time spent in this luxury hotel with a beatiful swimming pool, spa and other facilities for relax. Very nice the garden.
Nice rooms and good location The front desk staff are poorly informed and need a good deal of coaching in the way that Booking.com works!
The proximity of the beach and pool areas. The surroundings were beautiful and especially the Fiji people who work there - they were wonderful. They were friendly, respectful and very unassuming. I didn't like all the taxes we paid on our bill when we were leaving! It was actually a surprise, because I thought it was all included in the price.
Good location, excellent facilities, friendly, attentive and efficient staff Pool size somewaht limited in view of number of guests. Might be less crowded if beach also in use (stayed during poor weather)
Comfortable room, great bed, great hotel location right on the water, huge pool, plenty of activities on site a few areas of resort need updating - pool tile looks a little tired, etc. people saving lounge chairs by pool means there aren't enough seats and despite a hotel sign saying towel left on chairs would be removed after 30 minutes, when we asked, the person responsible wasn't willing to help. Not a major deal - we ended finding chairs on the beach, but a annoyance they are obviously used to dealing with.
Wonderful experience with wonderful staff at the resort! Food was amazing and the weather was great.
Still smells brand new after 4 years and absolutely wonderful staff - so friendly and helpful. I think the restaurants were excellent with very good wine choice by glass and bottle; specifically the fine diner was outstanding with wines to match.
We were over awed by the luxury and presentation of the hotel. the pool was amazing as were all the facilities. The beach was disappointing with grey soil the main ingredient of the sand. Consequently the water is murky. I would have thought the resorts would have put a lot more into their beaches.
This place was absolute PARADISE!! Absolutely beautiful and the staff was so friendly and wonderful. The food was a bit overpriced but the breakfast buffet was splendid. Some of the locals in the near by village solicit vacationers to buy jewelry (overpriced) or horseback rides on the beach. No real adult entertainment after 8pm Fiji Time.
The Beach was amazing. The resort was easy to find. Lots of activities on property. Great for couples and family friendly. 99.9% of the staff is very friendly and helpful. Staff makes You feel very welcome. I will be back. The quality of the food was a bit of a disapointment. If you pay by credit card ( which most people do) they nickel and dime you for an 'extra' 3% charge for using credit card, The rental golf clubs are junk. Only the Front desk manager was rude.
We went to Likuliku for our honeymoon in July, 2008. We are saving our money to go back for our 5 year anniversary because it was a vacation beyond our imagination. The accommodations were first class all the way. The staff was beyond friendly. We looked forward to seeing them every day. The food was some of the best we've ever had. We can still recall some of the meals we had, 2 years later! If I could only ever go to one vacation destination again, I would go back to Likuliku. We loved it so much, we got a puppy and named him Liku. We highly recommend Likuliku Lagoon Resort to anyone who is looking for rest, relaxation and to be treated like first class guests. We can't say enough about this magnificent resort. We stayed in both the overwater bure and in a beachfront room. The beachfront room was so spectacular, we probably wouldn't stay in the overwater room again (although it was pretty amazing too) The overwater bures are a lot of fun but it's a bit of a walk to get to the restaurant and bar. For a little less money, the rooms are just as nice. The service was personalized and at the end of our stay (of 7 days) we were very sad to leave such wonderful people. The chef does some amazing work in the kitchen and we were lucky enough to get to meet him. Likuliku, keep up the good work. We'll be back!
Staff was outstanding. Grounds very well maintained. Beautiful setting. Traditional Fiji resort using bures (a traditional looking hut with only two guest rooms per building) vice hotel rooms. Felt like family. Staff goes out of their way to make your trip relaxing. Need a gift shop/mini store. Would have purchased souvineirs if they were available. Had to go by taxi to store or to large hotel next store to purchase snacks.
I loved the 2-hour boat ride to the resort, greeting upon arrival, beachfront restaurant, shady lady cocktail, Fiji premium beer, bungalow room with small living room, adult pool with bar, breakfast buffet with make your own juice bar, Saturday night performance, treetops restaurant (mahi mahi curry dish), jet ski 3-hour tour to monriki where they filmed castaway (Jesse is the best guide), free snorkel gear and non-motorized equipment, hiking behind property, and much more! Some mosquitos (wear repellant at all times), wifi is not available in hotel rooms (kind of nice though)
