Internet wi-fi was a joke...No internet in the hotel or in the room . Stayed there 10 days and internet didn't work even once...
The parking lot The worst hotel in EUROPE, my room was unsecure for the entire week, the staff has very limited skills to resolve problems, the location was terrible it took one hour to get to Barcelona. I will never recommend this hotel
Fantastic view and setting. Very nice pool. Friendly and helpful staff. Free covered and locked garage parking. Very spotty WiFi. Electrical issues in room. Missing light bulb. Disappointed that use of the spa cost extra money.
the internet they advertise is a joke, doesn't work on higher floors, but signal is so weak that you need a week to upload one...page..
We just loved this hotel. The rooms were clean and had the most comfortable mattresses. Very clean bathroom and some toiletries. The breakfast was adequate, wish they had had some more fruit options. We visited the Monastery and took the funicular up to the top of the mountain, with spectacular views. The location could not be better, right next to the Monastery, and we got to stay in the "old" rooms. The rooms do not have A/C and it was quite hot in September. We left the window wide open and were able to sleep just fine. It was noisy very early in the morning, a lift truck kept going back and forth.
In the center of the monastery of Montserrat, facing the cathedral, but it is a normal hotel.Staying at the hotel allows you to enjoy Montserrat also when it is quiet and peaceful- before and after the swarms of tourists.Breakfast O.K. You may drive to the entrance of the hotel to unload or load your baggage, but then you have to find a parking space in the parking lot, which is not so close. Saying that - there is a "train" to take you back from the parking and to it. Parking costs extra.
In the evening, after the tourists left on the last tram down the mountain, the peace was amazing. It is an experience you cannot get on a day trip. Our only regret was that we could not stay longer, since we were catching a cruise ship the next day. The room was neat, clean, and comfortable. After flying from San Diego, peace of the mountain and a beautiful mass refreshed our spirits. We look forward to staying there again, but next time we will stay 2 or 3 days so we can explore the mountain.
Clossness to trails and to the church Having a tree block view from window and construction noise that went into night
The room was quite big. 1. We booked in advance the room with one king-size bed (not 2 beds). Inspite of it we received the 2 beds. 2. You have to use the outside parking about 1km (not the problem but still...)
Pleasant hotel at the Abbey Square up on the mountain Montserrat. Excellent view, Restaurant with Bib Gourmand i.e. good food for a reasonable price. Buffet breakfast with plenty of choice. We visited off-season and for everybody who wants to combine a bit of contemplation in the beautiful abbey where a boys choir sings every night after verspers with enjoying nature (well marked routes) it is a brilliant place to get away too. After visting Barcelona for three days, two nights at the mountain appeared a perfect short vacation.
Comfortable fuss free hotel I was surprised to have to pay for wifi access - and expensively.
Everything was very cleen. Minibar was free and downstairs you can get free coffee/tea/coca cola. In breakfest - fresh orange juce and fruits, sweet rolls. Helpful staff.
convenience of location we found access to the garage rather confusing
Rooms No Bar
We stayed for two nights. We needed a hotel that was easy to get to from the train station, close to Montserrat, and easy to be on our way to our next destination. The staff at the front desk spoke very good English and were helpful in answering any questions.
Very clean and nice rooms There should be some place to sit and spend time just out of the hotel. Add two resting chairs and small table in to the room, strange to sit all the time in bed. Sirloin in the restaurat was old and spoiled.
Exellent restaurant and room. The area around the pool pleasant, well taken care of and delightfully undisturbed. The staff professional and very, very kind!!
Phenomenal service. Gastronomical meal. First rate facility. I highly recommend this peaceful oasis Absolutely nothing
This is a 4 to 5 star hotel with a 2 to three star service. Try to get the rooms on the lower floor because the terraces are big. It is a very nice hotel, quiet and with a spectacular view over the monastery which is a must see. Great breakfast too. Perfect location to relax. The staff was not very helpful in most cases but nice nonetheless.
The Facilities, and restaurant L'Angle are fantastic, great to have mon st benet and alicia beside, rooms were great, and staff helpful Poor choice of menu in restaurant mon, not much available
The hotel and the peaceful setting were outstanding. The food at the restaurant was some of the best that we had on our trip to Spain.
I found the hotel very good for a relaxing break. The staff and food were very good. The room itself was lovely and spacious especially the balcony . The toilet was dirty when we arrived (somebody had used it before us, things stuck to toilet bowl) and the floor had not been hoovered properly. Also when we arrived at the pool there weren't any towels and my husband had to walk to reception 3 times to convince them that there weren't any towels(36 degree heat) , they kept telling him that they were there , towels were then brought by reception staff.
Situation and room Quality of service poor. Food abysmal
The food was very nice - the staff extremely nice - the room was nice too - and quite comfortable. It was like a barracks - no privacy on the balcony - did not like all the dark passages - the pool area was not at all nice - the village was uninteresting
nice surrounding, excellent facility, delicious food the address provided by booking.com is not be able to find by gps
quality on every level no
Great hotel with gorgeous view to the Montserrat mountain, cosy rooms with high standard facilities, spa, vineyard and many more. Totally recommendable for a romantic and relaxing stay.
Superlative service which was committed to ensuring we enjoyed ourselves, outstanding food, and great value. Would definitely return. Nothing
The staff were excellent and very helpful. Perfect place to relax and the spa facilities were great. Fantastic wines and amazing location.
Poor Evening Meals and expensive for what you had, in fairness the reception suggested the Telepizza service or going out for a meal. Breakfast was very good and well priced
size of room staff was totally ignorant about situation outside hotel i.e.unable to give info or directions to restaurants or even barcelona furthermore two of our windows were mechanically broken and even though promissed never fixed nor given other room hotel not full.breakfast buffet (11 euro) does not deserve the name.
WiFi not working well
Good off-road parking, clean and tidy
Beautiful rooms with immense double bed and a good kitchen. Free internet worked well. Staff were extremely helpful and sorted us out well. Free parking. Kitchen not actually stocked with utensils, though the staff sorted this out quickly.
Please write at least 15 words
the room was comfortable being a major sporting weekend the restaurant should have been open in the evening
Very nice room, extremely big and good value for money. Big free parking. Location close to Barcelona and other sights and much cheaper. Food in restaurant is not recommendable, dinner we had was bad. Location good mainly if you travel by car (our case). Kitchen in the room, but no equipment in it (we didn't need it, but it's strange).
It was OK but some elements could be annoying for some customers (see below) - noisy during the night because the isolation between rooms and levels is bad, distance by foot from the hotel to the train station 30 minutes and not less than 15 minutes as announced, to reach the train station from the hotel only 2 bus by hour during the week-end and 3 by hour during the week (10 minutes trip), from the train station to Barcelone : 35minutes
Clean, bright, cheerful - very good value.
Good locatation I know this hotel a some years ago, and know need urgently recuperations. The windows let a lot of noise from outside and bad air conditioner
The hotel staff are patient and helpful. Breakfast are good. The door to the bathroom are made of glass and its translucent which is not too good for friends sharing together. Shower curtain is not available which cause the floor in the bathroom to be flooded with water from your shower.
It is what you see what you get. We had to change our booking because there was no flight. Booking.com did not make this an easy exercise although the hotel all flexibility.
Location and room size, great bathroom
Comfortable and clean room, always cleaned and ready for our return. Complimentary bathroom items very good and topped up regularly.
Very good breakfast. Very good rate. Room service just until 22:30
Excellent buffet breakfast. Friendliness of all staff
Staff were not very helpful. Restaurant overpriced, staff unwilling to serve customers half hour before closing.
Reasonable price, good location (near the Sabadell city park). The hotel is old and haven't been renovated sevaral years - the 4* rating needs to be adjusted to that (not really a 4* quality). Situated right on the busy crossroad (roundabout) in the center of Sabadell. No internet.
The hotel location was good. The service at the restaurant was nice.
excellent value for money!!! location.
The breakfast was good, friendly, helpful staff, easy location to find. Rooms big and comfortable. The incredibly tortuous, narrow descent to the garage. Paytv didn't work. Very noisy outside but given the location hardly surprising. With the windows closed, quite quiet.
good place near to a great park
Wi-fi is free Breakfast is very poor
staff was very helpfull, and cortious. prices mini bar are very high for the amount of drink you get. Bottles are the smallest size on the market.
It was inexpensive for what I needed it for For being a supposed 5 star hotel the staff for the most part was rude and completely unhelpful. The room was nice and the food was excellent but it was almost an hour outside of Barcelona by train which was a complete bother. Very few of the staff spoke English. When I called from the train station and asked if the hotel had a shuttle they said "no, get a taxi" and hung up. All and all the experience has kicked Barcelona off my top ten places to see in it's entirety before I die.
Air conditioning faulty. No sleep, no compensation offered by staff at checkout.
reasonable price, room was clean. None
All the comfort The room was very cold
close to old town ,unusual design
It was comfortable, however I would have liked to have had a complementary english newspaper to read in the restaurant whilst I waited for the courses to arrive espaecially as I was dining alone. As I filled the bath a piece of mould appeared in the water, I do not know from where, but needlesss to say I stuck to the shower instead.
Nice rooms; good communication with Barcelona by train and car; close by center of Terrassa. Unfortunately didn't have time to enjoy the beauty treatments (very cheap) Eating room could be cleaner. Parking is very expensive but if you are lucky there is free space in front. In the morning not enough personnel in the reception and they have to answer the phone too.
There is no toilet brush in the bathrooms
An excellent experience the hotel staff could not be more friendly or helpful. plenty of parking and easy access. We used the hotel restaurant and the 30e menu del dai was superb. Best steak that I have eaten for a long time.
Friendly helpful multi-language staff, fabulous breakfast included, updated bath/shower, great daily menu for dinner in the restaurant, piano in lobby No drawers for storing belongings - only shelves, no wireless internet (but wired internet was ok) in rooms, no business/conference room for group meetings
the quality of the food more information of facilities provided on arrival
A quite hotel on the mountain. Not so easy for a taxi driver to find the hotel.
A great welcome by very kind people, beautiful location near Barcelona. Very comfortable and enjoyable breakfast and diner.
A Beautiful honey moon location. Eventhough we only spend a day there and it was not our honeymoon. We loved it, beautiful place to at least stay for 2 nights, the food is excellent. The staff are great, the owner speak fluent english. Very Private, very clean I would give 4.5 star for the hotel rating. The cab cost was 36Euro to get up there. Its a 25 min drive from the city of barcelona.
It was difficult to find
Very kind staff, nice front desk and loby, great breakfast, I went with my mother and it was very comfortable for both.
Nice apartment, parking included.
Almost everything. Very comfortable rooms, kind staff, nice parking, free wireless internet... it was great. Breakfast is good, but it's not included in the base rate. Location is a bit akward. 10 min walk to closest train station and 25 min ride to Barcelona downtown. Not so bad, but this is the only lowlite.
Hotel receptionist was very helpful Breakfast was poor with minimal service
The hotel is excelent and the staff very friendly. The restaurant has a day menu that was relatively cheap and the food were just perfect. The waiter helped us giving some advices. The room is very big and the was 2 floors. The only problem was the location, about 20km from Barcelona.
The receptionists were all very kind and amiable, to the point of giving us a choice of rooms that best fit our needs. We enjoyed our conversation with them and the evening meal at the hotel´s restaurant. Our stay was nothing less than an excellent, pleasant experience. We would recomment the hotel to any kind of guest, for the staff is up to any challenge. None
No English speaking staff in the restaurant
Once we found the hotel (tucked away) check-in was quick and easy, staff friendly and helpful, room clean, modern and functional. Car parking in the cool of the basement and a good breakfast.
Nothing. We left after 1 night as we had to return home due to family emergency, but i think we would have moved from this place had we been able to stay in spain Location of hotel is wrong side of mountain to easily visit monastery in montserrat. Difficulty finding hotel.Carpets snd ceilings on 1st floor filthy with evidence of leaks.Painters and work being carried out as you try to find room. Room overwhelmingly hot as there was no air-conditioning or fan provided, therefore unable to sleep at night. No restaurant or food available when we arrived, breakfast very poor. This was the worst experience i have ever had when on holidays.
Pleasantness and helpfulness of the staff. Excellent food and price. Proximity to Montserrat. Hotel rooms generally need an upgrade. Carpets were stained, tiles missing on balcony, chips in washbasin.
The hotel was so quiet. It felt like we had the pool just for us. The mountain in front of the balcony, the sun. You really need a good map, not a GPS to find the hotel. It's not indicated at all, but manageable to find still. The carpet was really old.
The location was very convinient, all services we were waiting of offered, pool good evenso closed on the morning, we would have used it since it was summer and we were tired visiting and travelling. There is no air condition in the rooms, the windows could not stay open because of electrical light in front of the balconies.
Setting. Would not like to stay more then one night.
The staff was friendly. Pool was nice. Hotel was hard to find. Apereance was too blank. Not much things to do, only for sleeping. First room that we got was not cleaned.
The views from the room, and the peaceful surrounding. The bathroom was not well maintained and clean. You can't open a window, as there is no A/C the room was hot during the night.
It was clear that this was a conference/training centre that offered odd nights as a hotel to fill rooms. The dining arrangements were poor (eg. dinner was a buffet served only between 8:30 and 9:00 pm with very limited choice of poor quality.) Thelift was out of action when we checked out. We had hoped to use public transport into Barcelona but the hotel is too isolated for anything other than using a car to be practical.
The location is great, ideal for a weekend retreat
Calm quiet and peaceful setting, hills and mountains and woods around, in a suburb about one kilometer from the highway, close to the mountains and Montserrat abbye, about fourty kilometers or half an hour drive from Barcelona, ask for a room overlooking the swimming pool. If You like the atmosphere of a conference place, maintenance dating back from the 1980's, very much needing restoration, and no good restaurant in about five kilometers, and the nearest historical town about fifteen kilometers away ...
