Fantastic location and friendly atmosphere. Worth the long drive to get here for dolphin interaction and other nature experiences including the Francois Peron NP. Recommend the associated 4wd tour and sailing trips. Shared ensuite basic but good value.
being able to get up close to the dolphins and being on the beach
The location was perfect, the staff were amazing and there is accomodation to suit every traveller. The food was great, as were the facilities. I would recommend Monkey Mia Dolphin Resort to anyone without hesitation.
Nothing to do but relax The overall holiday was ruined by penny pinching I.E. having to pay for the accomadation and then pay again just to reach my room! And Having to pay over $30 for 4 telepone calls, 3 of which I could not get through, the 4th lasted 5 minutes. This is nothing short of daylight robbery and puts a bad taste in my mouth meaning I will not return? The location cannot be beaten, absolutely fantsatic, but the quality of the accomadation is old, antiquated and needs knocking down and rebuilding
peace and quiet prices are expensive for the style of accomadation, the resort is greedy and charges you a second time to enter the resort before you reach your accomadation, for day visitors that is fine but not when you have already paid to stay there! I was charged over $30 for 4 telephone calls one lasting 5 minutes the other 4 No one answered, but yet I was still charged? It is factors like these that put a bad taste in ones mouth and on the principle of things is likely to make me say.... stuff you I will not be back.Apart from these matters the stay was excellent, and yes we will return.
I enjoyed the location and the friendliness of the staff. it is a relaxing environment with the choice of being active. I felt that the food was very ordinary, especially for the price. I wouldn;t mind bottled sauces and average quality if the prices reflected this. However, 5 start prices are charged for 2 star quality.
Interaction with dolphins in the wild - although was not as good as I thought it would be.
Although the room was very basic (no tv, coffee or fridge etc) the facilities in the resort were great. the kitchen with 4 bbq's was nice but bring utensils and equipment or you need to hire everything. The room was not air conditioned which I am told is happening next year but my fil is scottish and coming from -4 at night to 24 was hard. would be nice to have brooms in each room, the beach sand was everywhere and we only stayed 2 nights.
The peace and quiet and interaction with the dolphins was magic It's a long way to go
