Leaving
This place really disappointed - beds that are too small and uncomfortable, broken cupboard drawers, a constant musty smell and bad drains. No windows for views across what should be wonderful scenery - probably because there’s a quarry next door, We left after a few nights, once we’d found other accommodation. The main bedroom was described as having a double bed, but it was just 120cm wide and came with bobbled, brushed nylon sheets that had been over-used. The bed squeaked at every move, making sleep a distant luxury. The mattress gave no support, leaving us with back pain. We tried sleeping in another room on the single beds, again featuring uncomfortable sheets, but found these mattresses so hard it was like sleeping on the floor. The property is on an unmade road along which 20-ton trucks thunder, leaving a cloud of dust, on their way and from the quarry. No chance of a quiet rest by the pool, thanks to the incessant bleeping as the trucks manoeuvre in the quarry. Every cupboard smelt musty and the fronts came off the set of drawers in the main bedroom. The house inside is dark due to the lack of windows - the kitchen window looks out onto a wall, just a foot away. It has a smell of bad drains throughout. It’s not possible to leave the windows or doors open to clear the air, as the local feral cats come in. The bathroom lacks any shelving for toiletries, while the extra shower & toilet opens directly onto the dining room- but the door fails to shut properly. The shower in this room - useless if you are over 5ft 10in tall- doesn’t have a curtain or cubicle walls, so it’s essentially a wet room that then leaks into the dining area. Good job we visited a supermarket on the way - there was no welcome pack, not even the very basics. Nor a guide to the property, such as the Wi-fi code, or how to use the washing machine or kitchen hob. Give this property a miss

ExcellentFeb 201910.0
The house is spacious, spotless clean with two great outdoor spaces. The location is perfect to explore the island (with a car), easy to find but very quiet. The owners, who live next door, have been really kind with us knowing we were travelling with 2 small children (6 months and 3 years old). They are very discreet and really nice people!
Nothing except having to leave to go back home

Beautiful setting and garden. Perfect location, quiet and peaceful but close proximity to many places to visit. Friendly family to welcome us.

Great hosts and great location in middle of island to visot a plethora of amazing landscapes, vistas and beaches
Quite cold at night, doivets (nordicos) in the bedrooms would have been a nice touch...
