Staff was rude and incompetent
There was a wedding going on in the ballroom. We called down to the desk at 10, 11 and at midnight my husband went down to talk with the manager. We were on the 3rd floor facing the center. We could not only hear the music... we could feel the beat of the base. We were going to stay 2 nights--we checked out the next morning. We were refunded but the night managers kept saying the wedding party had the room until 1 am. At 1:30 am the music stopped. Then the wedding guests were continuing the celebration in the hallway. A horrible experience. Also, the towels in the bathroom were all cockeyed--made one wonder if they were clean.
parking is far
There were only 3 elevators for the whole hotel, one was out of order, and there were 3 family reunions, 2 onsite weddings, and 1 offsite wedding with the friends and family staying there. When we returned from the rehearsal dinner Friday night there was a LINE to use the elevator to get to our rooms. My husband and I found a way to take the stairs. Which wasn't easy as the only carpeted stairs went from the lobby to the second floor. We had to take the concrete fire stairs to get to the third floor that our room was on. We ran into a similar problem trying to take the elevator down to check out on Sunday around 11 am, an hour before the official check out time. After waiting 10 minutes and having several full elevators stop on our floor, we opted to take an elevator up in order to go back down. There is no vent fan in the bathroom so the mirror fogs while you shower and then you have to wait until it dissipates into your room to style your hair or put on make-up. The doors that enable the rooms to adjoin are NOT sound proof. I could hear neighboring televisions, conversations, and…um…"other" activities… Overall I would not stay at this hotel again. There are several other hotels within a mile of this one that I'd rather give my money to.
