Very friendly and "chic" as well. I love it ! The prices for dinner was not very well indicated. I was a bit surprised by the price of a evening meal... Another thing, the explanations about the use of the telephone, messages, etc were not clear to me. And I was not sure about the tipping ; first time in Germany. I think that mostly of your guest are german speaking but some english guide of you hotel might be useful .
No air condition which is surprising me for a 5 star hotel. There is no welcome book in English (everything is drafted in German). Only one foreign channel (CNN!). You must wear a trousers to have dinner. If not and despite you have a decent wear, you cant go for dinner! This is not disclosed in the hotel nor on internet.
Friendly helpful staff. Beautiful view of mountains from balcony.
the use of the bicycle - it is a good town to bicycle in.
Big difference with 4* business hotels, which has both pro's and con's. Nice relaxed atmosphere, personal attention from staff and wonderful location with magnificent view on the surrounding mountains. When I was there (almost 60 myself) the hotel felt a bit like an elderly home, as (probably due to time of year) there were a lot of old people.
The staff was wonderful and spoke enough English that we were able to understand. Didn't use the facilities however the pool and pool area looked nice, pool was on the smaller size. Food in the restaurant was was very good for both dinner and breakfast. The pictures of the hotel on the website shows the hotel pretty much by itself which is very misleading. We actually had a hard time finding it because of this as there's other buildings all around it. The hotel is older however kept up very well. It looks as though the dining area and lounge have been recently redone and rooms where very clean.
the relaxing atmosphere- no
rooms were nice, clean, staff was friendly, breakfast was good, location of hotel was good
The staff were very friendly and helpful. The swimming pool was lovely and the mountain views from seats placed outside in the snow with blankets provided were wonderful. Internet was available in the public rooms but had to be paid for (only 5 euros per hour) and cut off at the end of the paid period. I found this very annoying and unacceptable in a high star hotel. It is very petty to charge for internet in this day and age.
The rooms were very clean. The staff excellent The facility is aging and could use some renovation.
The pool and sauna facilities. No single lift to get to our floor.
good facilities and friendly Whilst there poor service in the bar and long waits - as we have stayed 3 times this was the only time that this has been a problem
It was a lovely, small, quaint hotel. The room was a nice size, the staff were wonderful.
Friendliness, Sauna The wellness centre is very limited
Nice downtown location
Comfort, special offers (ski pases, swiming pool tickets included). Difficulties to make printout (ryanair tickets) from the web sites.
Good service- I have no complaints. Comfortable small hotel. Not really.
The friendlyness of the staff and the food
We were very impressed after reading some poor reviews. The staff were helpful and friendly and the rooms excellent.
The accommodation was very central & close to the Nebelhorn slopes. Also the service was very good & rooms were cleaned daily. My only problem was the lack of English speaking staff.
The staff was extremely friendly. This hotel was a good value in a beautiful German mountain town.
room with wonderful view
Excellent breakfast, very nice rooms for the price. The rooms are large and they have a great balcony. The location is also very good, only a couple blocks from the center of town and the hiking trails. Parking lot is a little cramped, but there is plenty of place to park in the area.
Very friendly and accomodating. Beautiful room and deliscious breafast.
Great place to stay.
room was large and big balcony hotel staff could have been a bit friendlier.
Easy access by vehicle with ample parking. Within walking distance of shopping, restaurants and attractions.
the views and the friendliness of staff
My husband and I loved the spaciousness of the room and bathroom, the cleanliness of the facility, the pleasantness and helpfulness of the staff and the delicious breakfasts. The quietness of the hotel and surroundings was especially appreciated. We can't think of anything.
Simple no-nonsense hotel.
The hotel was very quiet and restful. The staff were very helpful for my allergic needs...as I am very allergic to fragrances, especially in laundry soap and made sure I had blankets washed without the fragrance soap. Any other questions were quickly answered and made sure we were helped out. Same Breakfast everyday...some variety would be appreciated, although it was always good. Mattress has had better days as it was not very comfortable.
Good location, nice and clean rooms, friendly owner and personal Please, make wi-fi network on the 3-d floor.
Right size for needs, clean, good continental breakfast, good access for walking to all shops.
Very cozy, clean and wide rooms, all furniture was comfortable and new, bed linen was also new and clean. Comfortable beds. Breakfast was quite simple, but always fresh and tasty. A very convenient location: app. 2 minutes on foot from the bus stop to go to any of the Oberstdorf's alpine ski lodges.
The owner was very friendly. Clean, comfortable, pleasant room with balcony. Good breakfast. That strange arrangement where the bath has a shower head and shower curtain but no attachment to hang the shower head from.
It was very big by most of the hotels I have stayed in in this category. Everything was fine.
