Pros: Staff, location, spacious rooms, good bathrooms, privacy in rooms. Plenty of activities if you want to pay extra. Nice gift shop. Animals all around the facility. Lots of variety in dinner (heavy on meats) and breakfast.
Cons: More vegetables in meals. Lots of good game meat but not much for non meat lovers. Few items. Maybe most of guests are carnivores
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything, amazing selection of food, felt special, game drive was amazing
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The buffets were great. The separate bungalows were private and quiet. And perfectly appointed. Everything clean and functioned. Location outside gate was conducive for an early start to get right in to the park to find the big cats ;) Even though many rooms there, it felt small and personal.
Cons: Wish WiFi was better...slow and not able to connect often.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great dinner and breakfast, more vegetarian options would be nice but there were some
Cons: Nothing
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location, nice breakfast and dinner buffet, friendly staff, large room, nice pools... and very close to the entrance! We also had a morning game drive with a great guide.
Cons: We payed a lot of money and unfortunately it doesn't go to the (underpaid) staff and local community - they can use it - but to some rich guy in Cape Town. Travelling through Africa in my opinion should also be helping local communities whom are often struggling. It would be nice if the owners of such travel accomodations could also focus on this. It would convince me to come again. There are a lot of entitled, bratty customers here. If you are coming here (or anywhere else), please be nice to the people who serve you!
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Very nice place. Independent "houses" around the central reception and restaurant. Very well equiped room. Great dinner and breakfast.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Great location, very close to park entrance gate. Beautiful grounds. Food was good and staff was nice
Cons: nothing
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The feeling of a small village where each cottage was placed in a way that it felt private even though this is quite a big and spread out lodge. The food selection was also great and always of good quality and taste. Location to Etosha / Okaukuejo is ideal - if you stay outside the park this is probably the closest you can get. The cottage is spacious and clean and you have your own carport. One of the safari guys (Louis?) also gave us really good advice for our own self drive safari instead of trying to sell us to his own tour. We really appreciated this kind of behaviour as in many places in Namibia you are hassled to buy stuff/ tours etc.
Cons: Reception could still work on their friendliness and on how to make you feel welcome.

6.3 Good
Pros: The lodge was clean with a nice view. The food in the restaurant was very good.
Cons: We experienced a very unhospitable reception by Elizabeth. She needs some lessons in how to handle guests. When we left the other day a South African boy at the reception was very friendly and helpful.

Pros: the view of the chalet they are very nice arranged to not see your neighbor, View from lodge is great too.
Cons: some parts are already a few years old and when we arrived at 9.30 - even though announced - it was closed and we had to jump a gate to get in - we were very worried to have to stay overnight in our car
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Perfect location very near to Etosha Park. Views from the high balcony on to waterhole and surrounding savannah great. Nice apartments with great showers spread out through the valley. Breakfasts good; plenty of choice and buffet menu in evenings. Staff friendly.
Cons: I feel it was a little overpriced for Namibia, even taking into consideration the location.
7.5 Good

Cons: Due to lack of warm water we had cold showers in the morning.
6.8 Good
Pros: The dinner and Breakfast were really good. Cozy place especially in the evening.
Cons: Far to expensive for the quality of service offered and a bit far from the Anderson’s gate.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Excellent staff at the property, very helpful and nice, they go out of their way to help their clients. Food was excellent. Beautiful resort. Would highly recommend. Resort is about 20 minute drive to the Anderson gate of Etosha park. We also stayed at resort very close to Etosha but service of that resort does not come close to the service and quality of food at Toshari.
Cons: Nothing

Eagle Tented Lodge & Spa - Okaukuejo - Pool
4
8.7 Excellent (118 reviews)
Overview Reviews
When you stay at Eagle Tented Lodge & Spa Etosha in Okaukuejo, you'll be within the vicinity of Ongava Private Game Reserve. Featured amenities include express check-in, express check-out, and dry cleaning/laundry services.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Our experience at Eagle Tented Lodge was fabulous from beginning to end. Service was great, the tents were unbelievably nice, the grounds were gorgeous, and the dinner was the best that we had on our entire trip. We also very much enjoyed the sundowner tour that we signed up for. We stayed here as a bit of a splurge, and we were 100% happy that we did so. You must stay here on your visit to Namibia!
Cons: The only problem we had was that we didn't stay longer... if it would be slightly closer to Etosha that would make it perfect, but the 45 min or so really isn't bad. If we had to do it all again, we'd stay another night!
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful decoration Excellent four course dinner best Kudu steak of our travel Outdoor shower Comfortable bed and intact Mosquito net
Cons: Price is relatively high but the staff are so friendly that it was all worth it !! The food and wine was also exceptionally good
7.5 Good
Pros: It is a nice place, but the works on extensions (camp, building) gave it a "work in process" look. The distance to the gamedrive to Etosha is far too long, especially if you plan yourself to drive the day afterwards from west to east. Morning and eveninggame drives on their own estate was not possible (rain fall the day before or just not available)
9.3 Excellent
Cons: Furnitures need a refresment...
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The tent comfort
Cons: The manager could be more kind
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The lot, fabulous location (45 mins to Etosha Game reserve gate), great room, wonderful staff and service, reasonable food.
Cons: Nothing but be warned the rooms don't have Wifi (only the public areas) and the menu is a little restrictive.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The staff were excellent and well organised. The food was very good and the tents were very comforable. While the position meant we had a 40 minute drive to Etosha National park, we could still see lots of game on the way. It was wonderful to have wildlife wandering around us (without the lions!) and there were just the tourists staying at the camp in the evenings so it was quiet and very enjoyable.
Cons: No negative comments!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff is amazing.
Cons: The road.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The staff were all very friendly and courteous. They welcomed us with a cold drink and a tour of the property, and organised a well-priced and excellent massage for us at the sister hotel’s spa nearby. The location is stunning, secluded and peaceful in a game reserve. We saw gemsbok, springbok and a giraffe whilst we were there. The tents have an outdoor bath where one can relax looking at nature. The common areas have lovely colonial furniture. Dinner was good, especially the gemsbok steak and the wine selection was good too. Breakfast was ok but not as good as the dinner. The hotel is about an hour to Etosha’s Anderson gate but it’s a nice drive and goes quite quickly.
Cons: The tents were large and tastefully decorated, with a large bathroom area. However, whilst the beds were comfortable and generally the spaces clean, they were poorly maintained - the frame creaked in the night wind and the floorboards and rugs had gaps and holes. I know this is the bush and if you want complete luxury you have to pay high prices, but for the price we paid I would have expected slightly better upkeep. It’s a shame as the place is stunning and has great potential to be even better.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We stayed here as part of our honeymoon trip to Namibia and it was spectacular! Staff were welcoming and friendly, even giving us a hand with changing the spare tyre on our truck. Coffee was delicious and all meals were lovely. View from our room was incredible and we would LOVE to stay here again!
Okutala Etosha Lodge - Okaukuejo - Building
5
8.5 Excellent (290 reviews)
Overview Reviews
Featuring free WiFi, Okutala Etosha Lodge is situated in Okaukuejo, 40 km from Etosha National Park. Free private parking is available on site. Each unit at Okutala Etosha Lodge boasts a seating area and a veranda with a view. They are equipped with tea-and-coffee-making facilities, a safe and mosquito nets and gauze over the windows. Bed linen and towels are provided. Guests can enjoy a meal at the on-site restaurant or a drink at the bar, overlooking the waterhole just 40 meters away. Packed lunches can also be arranged on request. Okutala Etosha Lodge also includes a year-round outdoor pool.
6.3 Good
Pros: Great view over the waterhole from the bar and the staff in the bar/ restaurant were lovely. However, the management (owners?) were unfriendly to the point of rudeness. Even the room literature was patronising. This place lacks atmosphere because it’s badly managed, which is a shame. There were some tours of the animals which we were tartly told we had missed ( which wasn’t true as they started after we arrived). If there was a limit on numbers - which seemed unlikely as they seemed to be walking - they could have recommended to book in advance as other lodges did. And therefore, we were given no explanation of the mission of the lodge - presumably because we didn’t pay for a tour. Bizarre.
Cons: The sign in the restaurant advising folk to smile. When the management didn’t bother.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Exceeded expectations. Enjoyed the rhinos. Leopard sanctuary interesting. What a treat!
Cons: Nothing to add. I would recommend it. We were happy that we did not get a place in the park and ended up at this charming camp.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Okutala was the perfect accommodation. Close to Etosha (calculate with approx. one hour to get to the gate), it offers comfort and its own wildlife reservoir. We especially loved the rhinos, two of which even came to visit in the evening ;) I'd recommend doing the combo tour on the grounds, in which you get to see the elephants, rhinos and wild cats (leopards, hyena and cheetah) up close - you will learn a lot about these animals. We further did a half-day tour with Simone into Etosha. If this is your first time to a national park, I'd definitely also recommend doing this. Simone provided us with so much interesting facts about the different animals, both how they live but also advice on where and when to spot which animals. The only downside: If you do not like elephants, you probably should refrain from doing this tour. We just saw too many of them ;) All in all, you will be very lucky to get Simone as your tour guide. The swimming pools were also lovely and the accomodation was very spacious. Just make sure to wear solid footwear when going back up to your lodge - we did encounter a scorpion on the way. Dinner was also very nice, with the main highlight being the fact that the terrace provides a great outlook on the nearby waterhole, so you can watch the wildlife even while eating.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Welcomed with wet towels and then a drink, the service throughout our stay continued to a high standard .Rooms were outstanding.Watching the animals at the water hole from the restaurant was a real plus but then you can also wander around and meet numerous animals as well. What a place, you do need to spend at least one day here to appreciate the whole ambience.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was excellent and went far beyond our already high expectations from the reviews. From the lovely staff to fantastic rooms and unforgettable meetings with the animals. The first true 10 out of 10 experience out of all our travels.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The majority of everything about this place is amazing. From the staff to the facilities, just great.
Cons: Lunch and dinner were costly in addition to the room rate. No wifi connection in rooms.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Wonderful view. Very Cleaz
Cons: Nothing!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We loved our room overlooking the waterhole where we enjoyed seeing the wild life.
Cons: Better choice of food would be very welcome. Food was average but not quite up to the standard of the rest of the Lodge.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: A bit far from Etosha entrance, but definitely worth. Has its own water hole with lot of animals every day. Dinners and breakfasts were perfect. Can watch sunset and sunrise from apartment or restaurant. Perfect African experience. Very nice staff.
Cons: A bit far awya from Etosha main gate.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Great lodge with a restaurant overlooking a waterhole. Lush green setting which attracts lots of wildlife just around you; birds porcupine mongoose squirrels.

9.3 Excellent
Pros: The owner and the staff are very nice and welcomed me very kindly. Thank you very much for making my stay as comfortable. The prepared the dinner and breakfast with love and local products from the farm.
Cons: It would be great to have a kettle to make coffee or tea in the room or in the public area.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This is a superbly run lodge by the most delightful and welcoming Shawn, who really cares about the quality of your stay. There's a beautiful garden, with pool and three resident Springboks. Meals are absolutely delicious and you have choices, suiting vegetarians or meat eaters. Views are wonderful as the lodge is on a hill and you can watch the sunrise and set from your safari tent. It's a joy to return to this oasis after a day's game viewing in Etosha. The wi-fi is excellent too. And we must mention Meisie who is a superb chef, and delightful company. Very highly recommended.
7.5 Good
Pros: amazing location, dinner was excellent, good experiece.
Cons: breakfast could be improved. attention needs to be given to the shower.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: What a wonderful place! Great staff, facilities, grounds, breakfast and optional dinner! The tent you stay in is quite roomy and comfortable. On the whole, this is the nicest place we stayed in during our 15 day trip to Namibia and we would want to come back already. Helped booked us a safari.
Cons: From our perspective - nothing really. You are here to visit Etosha NP. There are locations that are closer to the park, but we would always opt to come back to here. From our perspective, a double bed instead of two singles would have made this even better, but this is knit-picking.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Nice set up in tents and good meals Tame springboks next to pool.
Cons: Pool needs a very good clean. Scum on bottom
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Secluded location, nice garden and terrace. Friendly and very helpfull staff. They repaired a flat tyre on the spot. Not too far from Etosha Anderson gate (30km tar road). Good safari atmosphere, we stayed in the bungalow tent, it was o.k. Good wifi in the restaurant and garden, not in the cabins.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Loved the tent rooms and the outlook over the savannah. The sunsets from the dining room were excellent. We had Springbok and Warthogs on the front lawn! There is a small herd of Springbok that seem to live on the property which is very cool!
Cons: The beds were a bit itchy - I don't know why - maybe we were having a reaction to the soap powder. Thing is, two of us had a reaction??
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Good location for visiting Etosha , friendly helpful staff and very reasonably priced.
Cons: Nothing really.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Pieter is the great and knowledgeable tour guide. Room is spacious and clean. Great services.
