I liked how big the room was, I rented it for game night with friends. They wanted me to pay $20 a person who was coming up to my room needless to say we didn't follow that. The staff was terribly rude. I didn't get told check out was at 10 I assumed it was at 11 and some man came knocking at my door and kicked me out. Minimal parking. The place sucks overall.
I enjoyed my stay at Legacy by the Sea. Clean, friendly staff, and right down the road from Pier Park.
We have stayed at the Legacy by the Sea the past 3 yrs and we love the location. Its within walking distance to everything. The continental breakfast is bare minimum.
Karen is fantastic! Very welcoming!
Beautiful view. Clean room. large beachfront location. Fast elevators. Ample refrigerator. Staff was adequate but not helpful. Minimal kitchen items. Would have appreciated dining height table on balcony. Take your earplugs. Bedroom was on the road side. Noisy at night.
Views. Closeness to beach and a few restaurants Views can't be beat Had to pay for beach chairs. 50-40 a day. Was told it was included Getting towels or housekeeping is hard. No beach towels several days Beds and other things need to be replaced n updated. Overpriced!!
On the beach! The room setup is stupid! The beds are on the side of the building next to the street which is very noisy at night way past midnight. The "sitting" area is on the beach side and is nice and quiet! Whoever thought of this arrangement was an idiot! Also the beds were full and not queens. Breakfast was a joke, so why even bother? For the price could have stayed at a better place.
The size of the room is great! Overlooking the ocean is amazing! Great location within walking distance of shops and restaurants. Very friendly staff. Would definitely stay again. Karen at the front desk was extra friendly and very accommodating
It was close to town and right on the beach. The room wasn't as clean as i would like, we were on the bottom floor and it was kind of musty it could use some remodeling. I was a little disappointed. Also the a/c didn't work very well.
Staff was AMAZING & rooms were as clean as could be considering the circumstances. Air conditioning units were leaking all over the place...there was a deep down mildew smell in the hallways at night but every morning I smelled bleach as the staff cleaned & cleaned as best they could. Continental breakfast was great & I loved the staff!! Air conditioning units from upper floors were leaking & left a gross, slippery, dark slimy film all over the 1st floor walkway that tripped my 3 & 10 year olds several times & there was an obvious mildew buildup all the way up the other floors banisters. They were black up & down from lack of maintenance. They have allowed the weeds to grow up so far on the 1st floor U can't even see the ocean.
Staff was extremely lazy & rude. Parking was horrible, you have to park 2-3 blocks from your room. EVERYTHING was dirty and disgusting!!! Do not let the cheap price and nice pictures fool you!!!!!!!!
The close proximity to the beach and the private balcony were the only two positive things about this so called "hotel". BED BUGS!!!! But I'll get to that in a minute. The first thing we noticed when we walked in was the smell. It wreaked of mold and mildew. The floor was sipping wet in front of the AC, the oven and fridge were both rusted, the bathroom fan/light would not work properly (a loud humming and banging sound when turned on) so we had to shower with the aide of flashlights, the ceiling above the shower was falling in due to excessive moisture, the doors would not shut or open without beating it open/shut, we were restocked with towels ONE time in our 4 day stay, and finally the sheets were never changed once. The first night was fine, we did not notice any problems besides those already listed. The second night my fiancée woke up with strange red spots on her thighs and forearm with a small blood stain in our bed. We thought the blood was from my knee as I had scraped it earlier that day and the marks were either from mosquitoes as they were fairly thick the first day or a laundry detergent allergy since I did not have any marks. The third night she woke up itching like crazy almost in tears because it was all over her body. I had hydrocortisone cream and she applied that while we walked the beach during the sunrise. It was itching her so badly that she decided to look up "bugs that bite in lines" on google and the very first picture that popped up looked exactly like hers and tye were indeed bed big bites. We decided to go up to the room and look at the bed with the sheets pulled back and sure enough I spotted 2 dead bed bugs and 3 live ones crawling around the bed. I videoed and took pictures of the bed bugs so I had proof while she showered off. The bugs will leave tiny red blood stains on the bed if you roll over them at night and squish them because they suck your blood just like a tick or mosquito. We immediately went to talk to management as that is completely unacceptable. They told us we had to go down the street to the main office (2 blocks down) and talk to them so we did. The ONLY person helpful in this entire situation was a lady named Michelle at the main office. She informed us that we are to get fresh towels every single day and new sheets every other day, neither of which happened. They gave us a full refund for our 3 night stay and told us we had to check out that morning so we were stuck in PCB for another night without a hotel. THEY DIDN'T EVEN OFFER TO HELP US FIND ONE!!! When we got all our stuff packed we went to check out and they told us that they had no record of us even staying there. NO RECORD! They completely deleted us from the computer system as if we were never there. There is something very fishy about that company in general. My guess is that they have had this problem before and failed to get it resolved. Places like this need to be shut down... Needless to say, DO NOT STAY HERE and if you do, don't expect to be satisfied with anything but the view. By the way, our room number was 315.
Clean comfortable room for a reasonable price.
so close to the beach hallways stunk
The ocean front view was priceless. All rooms were ocean front and I am sure we would have liked this hotel with any room we were in Small rooms without any fridge or microwave.
Proximity to beach, but only one access point - Literally had to walk around the building to get to the beach... Bed next to door as you walk in... Also, room (233) was next to the elevator; people's voices echoed very loud at 2 in the morning. A/C did very little to cool the room. Light fixture was loose from ceiling in bathroom. Return vent heavily rusted. All in All - Just a very dated hotel...
view from the Rom was outstanding - we let the staff know we would be there all week - and didn't require constant cleaning. Great value for the money. Bring your own chairs/umbrella - renting the beach ones get pricey.... Would stay here again. Service was a bit slow - took a day to get extra towels. Parking is a nightmare - if you get a spot - DON'T MOVE!!! There is extra parking - but it is across the street. WIFI - they have antennas all over - but it would only connect near the front office. Walls seem to be paper thin - unless I just had extra loud drunks in the next room. (AC was nice and loud though and drown them out..)
The service was helpful. I was not able to stay in the hotel I booked because of "overbooking" very disappointed. Also still did not have a front facing view and was not aware of additional payments that come with the room. I will not be getting a room online again.
Right on the beach this is older motel but good value and staff was very helpful
The only good thing was the ocean ! The hotel was old and totally run down ! It was dirty and the maid service consisted of fresh towels! No beds were made and no floors were vacuumed ! Horrible place! Dirty filthy place! So sorry we strayed there!
Front desk was amazing to all our questions and concerns. What could be fixed was immediately done and in a professional manner. Cleaning was not a high priority in the rooms, carpets were stained, bedding was stained, couch was stained and dirty walls. Property looked great but the individual condos were sub par.
This guest did not leave comments about this hotel.
nothing really Room was not real clean, cigarette butts on balcony, pool and hot tub was dirty and stained and the parking decks look like they have not been swept or cleaned in a long time. lighting in the room was terrible, especially in bedroom and in the shower.
The shower head was terrible and the staff fixed it promptly.
Exterior shabby. Elevatores etc. Iron leaked water
Nothing When we arrived the tub wouldn't drain so we couldn't take a shower everything was broken, they sent someone up to fix the tub it ended up taking almost an hr so we went to complain and they sent us to another room which was the same problem!
Nothing this hotel is garbage anf they plan on knocking it down at the end of the year so there is no up keep whatsoever Toilet leaked all over floor beds were trashed room smelled like urine. I would not stay here again if it was free
water front and location too old ,waiting til 4 pm to get the key to room ,to much for what was offered
We liked the location ito was close to beach beautiful gulf veiws. We liked we was able to bring our small dog. But with a fee of 75 bucks. : ( We liked the complimentary breakfast and enjoyed the staff in the mornings very friendly. We was supposed to check in at 4 pm but they didn't have our room ready till almost 7 pm. Rooms need to be redone updated. Kitchen hardly had any utensils for cooking so bring your own. No paper towels. Parking was hard to get even with a pass the sharkys shared the parking.
