Porton del Cielo

Porton del Cielo has the most beautiful views in all of Patzcúaro. It also has a very cozy vibe with an extremely nice staff.

The hillside location is private and tranquil with exceptionally beautiful views from the guestroom, dining room, bar, and balconies. The road is cobblestone, so wear sensible shoes. Take a flashlight if it's after sunset.

The hotel offers delicious breakfast with excellent hot and strong coffee. The dinner's salmon entrée was over-cooked but nicely prepared. The portions are much too large for an adult male with a normal, healthy appetite.

The hotel offers a lovely spa option, wake-up service, concierge service, room service, and a tour desk. Additionally, it provides a shuttle service, bicycle rental, and board games/puzzles for entertainment.

The guestroom was extremely clean, and the bed and pillows were very comfortable. However, the bathroom was tiny, and the shower didn't run properly in some cases.

Some guests recommended requesting a room with a view, as the hotel offers stunning views of Lake Patzcuaro and the surrounding fields and mountains.

Consider taking a 30-minute walk up the hill to Estribo Grande for an exceptional sunset view. However, be mindful of the cobblestone road and consider wearing sensible shoes and bringing a flashlight if it's after sunset.
