Penzance Cottage

Penzance Cottage is in an excellent location for the station & ferry to the Isles of Scilly. This was a late booking due to flight cancellation so grateful for a bed etc. Although an old property, the room was very clean as was the bathroom. The shower power switch was dodgey but persistence paid off & no further problem. The facilities downstairs were great.....fridge, cooker, microwave, toaster etc. Bring your own food of course. I guess the price is debatable but the cheapest online was a dormitory in the YHA. Sharing a bathroom was manageable but then there were only 2 others in at the time. Thanks to mein host...the alternative might have been the bus shelter or station !!

The place was well presented and clean on arrival, but the following points should be noted. Two of the lights had bare wires showing, the tap in the sink was back to front, a microwave would have been usful, there was no ventialtion, we had to keep the front open to ventilate the property, there was no TV arial, for the money we would have expected a bigger space with a table to eat from. hence poor value for money.

Lovely cottage opposite the train station which was next to the car park. We were on the scillonian in the morning so perfect location. Very clean..Easy to book. Keycode for cottage sent immediately. Highly recommend.. Will definitely use again.

The beds were the best both super comfy and the pillows and bedding felt brand new. Communication was submitted about the stay a few hours before hand making the transition really easy. Bedroom doors have number locks too so it felt secure. I left an item and the host kindly posted it back to me. Honestly I can't recommend this place enough. Clean. Tidy, great location and certainly looked after with any issues. Highly recommended.

No food provided, hot drinks available to make in the kitchen. (Not described in the listing) Local info was good. Clear instructions on entry, door codes etc. Comfortable bed and linens, towels good size. Bed a bit too low.
