superb location, nice clean room overlooking Mounts Bay, excellent dinner and breakfast .Room heating a little hot for us
The hotel had a relaxing feel to it, really nice room with sea view.
The staff members were extremely pleasant and helpful and the restaurant food was excellent
The very good restaurant.
The overall ambience of the hotel, the comfort, friendliness of the staff and the first class views from the guest lounge and the restaurant
Great staff and restaurant. Nice ambience in the hotel. Great views of the sea. The room had a strange smell
reception staff gave very good service - very friendly. The food was delicious, especially the Farmhouse breakfast.
The evening meal was very good
The staff were excellent, very welcoming and helpful. The restaurant was excellent both in terms of quality of quisine and service Nothing . Everything was as good, if not better than expected.
Staff were excellent and very welcoming
Only stayed for the one night, all the staff that I saw were very polite and helpful, the room was comfortable and presented very nicely.
Staff were great, kind and helpful. It was near sea with a beautiful pedestrian walk just 5 min walk. It was also near town centre and a Tesco Express for a quick shopping! Due to there being a (classic) bar at the ground floor in the hotel, there were loud noises coming out starting from about 8:00pm to midnight; it was weekday though! Also, I did not like the breakfast as there was a very limited variety of foods/choices for the breakfast.
The names of Cornish towns for the rooms a very nice idea Very clean and personal kind
Simple, friendly - good pub - good breakfast. En suite bathroom was a bit cramped. General condition of the hotel was a bit tired.
Have stayed several times before but first time since refurbishment has been completed. Still love the place and now rooms have been upgraded it made for a very pleasant stay nothing
Very comfortable, clean, nice room, pub - enjoyed meal Public areas such as lounge and dining area a bit tired-looking
Friendly welcome, pleasant and friendly bar and restaurant staff, comfortable room with outstanding view. Breakfast staff not as accommodating as evening staff - had "run out of" porridge!?! In rather a hurry!
Super friendly and really great fun None to speak of
Good breakfast! None.
Very friendly welcome, very cosy room, food very good and felt extremely relaxed.
This is a local's pub, and welcoming and friendly in every way. Whether you want a quiet meal, a drink, or somewhere to spend the weekend, The Old Success Inn is a fine Cornish pub that can accommodate all. Sennen Cove is a beautiful spot, anytime of the year. Stunning views, open to the elements, but cosy pub to come back to. Staff are all very welcoming, couldn't do enough. We had a wonderful weekend away. Will be back again! Nothing, except Stowell's wines on tap, awful but staff offered a restuarant wine by the glass, so we were happy. I do not understand why brewery's think that these wines are what people want. People settle for these in the absence of anything decent, or not liking beer, or cider. This is no reflection on the Old Success, its a comment for the brewery.
This is quite simply the best hotel I have ever stayed at. The room had the most beautiful view posible, you could see out to sea for miles. The room was perfectly clean. I could not fault the cleaners at all, they did a fantastic job every day. The owner of the hotel was amazing. He is the most helpful and friendly man you could ever have the pleasure of meeting. Everyday he asked us our plans for the day and then gave us information such as tide times, opening times, bus times etc to help our stay. He also suggested a walk between Sennen and Land's End which turned out to be the highlight of our holiday. The breakfasts were lovely and the choice was unbelievable. I had a different breakfast everyday and each one was excellent. I travelled with my brother, who is vegetarian, there was several choices for him to have for breakfast which was a great suprise. The hotel puts two folders in each room. One contains menus from local restaurants and pubs to aid your stay. The other contains information on the location of the nearest chemist, bank etc. Both of these came in very handy and showed that the owners really care about you. The check in was very quick and the owner also carried our bags to our room. He showed us around the room to say where everything was. One night, the 2 owners went for a walk to visit friends. They left a note on the reception table saying where they had been and giving their mobile phone number. They also left a mobile phone by the letter so that you could contact them if you needed to. The hotel was within 5-10 minutes or several quality pubs/restaurants and also the main shopping area around Market Jew Street. The hotel was also very quiet though, the only sounds we could hear was those of the tide and the odd sea gull. I am sure that I will visit Penzance again soon and this hotel is my one and only choice of where to stay again. No bad points. Cannot fault this hotel.
The hospitality, food, accom, facilities and location. none
Made very welcome, helped me in any way they could, especially in arranging accomodation overnight in London. There were none.
Totally an excellent experience. I have never stayed in a b&b before and this will not be the last. No bad points at all.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Warwick House, our room was very comfortable and nicely thought out. Our hosts ensured we made the most of our holiday and gave us many suggestions for activities in the area. Breakfast was a real treat everyday. I highly recommend this choice.
The friendly staff and the ease of 'feeling at home'
Great service and food! 10 out of 10
Friendly, clean and accessible. Nothing
Cleaness of the entire house. Very impressive. View from the dining room is nice. Chris is a very nice person. Just 10 minite walk from the rail station. The heater in my room was too small to appropriately warm my room.
The location and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The lighting on the staircase in the house adjoining the hotel
staff very friendly food excellent very nice pub beautiful views all perfect for us
The location overlooking the unique harbour could not be bettered and although being a busy pub and restaurant, we had a peaceful night.
Location was superb and picturesque, food was excellent and gravy was the best but limited choice, locals were really friendly and made us welcome, we were in the cottage next door and found the room (5) very small , We were next to the road and the front door and some people cant shut a door quietly as they enter and leave thats not forgetting the seagulls at 6am. We wern't fussed on the selection of beers and their prices .
Its location On arrival our greeting was poor, they had no record of us staying luckily we had our booking.com copy, the room had not been vacuumed or cleaned properly and had an awful damp odour. we found the staff not very friendly in general disappointed with our stay.
Breakfast was perfect. noise from corridor and adjoining rooms
friendly, efficient staff and a good location
Its location situated near to a very nice beach--Portminster. N/A
Courteous staff, warm, clean room & the best buffet breadkfast I have ever had. Expensive bar prices.
The manager and staff were very polite. The breakfasts were excellent each day of our stay. A very pleasant location with a lovely view from the dining room whilst enjoying the good food.
The service in the restaurant, by Lauren, was excellent. She worked very hard by herself all evening Check in lady was pre-occupied
We enjoyed the views and location. Nothing worth writing about.
reasonably priced, within easy walking distance of town rooms slightly small
Spacious, comfortable room with fantastic views of Porthminster Beach and St Ives Bay. Excellent unhurried breakfast (buffet) in large restaurant.
Excellent staff No bath
The breakfast was very good The Shower Room was extremely small
People and location
Easy to find, good location Nothing to dislike
The warm log burner in the bar. Good beer, nice food and friendly staff. The room was a good size and comfortable There was no soft seating in the bar and no guest lounge.
The personal friendly service by the owner and his family. Breakfast was the best of all the hotels we stayed out during our 4 week visit to the UK. The area must be promoted as a destination of choices, proximity to other places eg Penzance, lands ends, St Ives was great for ease of travel. Most of the village environment was everything I desired as a tourist.
Friendly staff. Reasonably priced and extensive restaurant menu. Excellent location for West Cornwall. The parking facilities could be better.
A very friendly family run hotel in the centre of the village. The rooms were a bit cramped, but extremely clean. The food was good. Not suitable for elderly or disabled. The stairs were very steep. The parking was tricky!
The room was comfortable and roomy, as was the bathroom. The room had a good view at the front of the square and in the bathroom you could see the sea, which was good. My only complaint would have been at breakfast, would have liked more cold drinks available rather than one small glass of orange juice. At most hotels that we have visited you are able to 'help yourself' to these which I personally find good as I dont drink tea or coffee.
Excellant location at the centre of St Just. The staff were friendly and helpful, we stayed with our baby daughter and they were very accomodating. The room was very spacious and suited our needs. Felt that some aspects of the room were tired and in need of updating, particularly the matress and shower.
The friendly staff and the English country pub atmosphere and of course the country side. Because our stay was of a very short duration, we relied on public transport / taxis / foot for transport. Not the fault of the Hotel but incomplete info on the web site.
Everything was very good
The hospitality was top notch, loved the breakfast being in the room to have at your own leasure. The room was very large and the bathroom was too.
Relaxed attitude.Friendliness of owner & eagerness to please.Helpfulness. Hotel location.
nothing to dislike excellant value room was fantastic clean continental breackfast in room was good and would definately stay again
Arrived 3 hours early by mistake but was still able to book in due to kind staff and not sticking to strict 'company policy'.
Very quiet and very neat. The owner is so friendly and very kindly. I strongly recommend you stay here for long stay! Nothing.
Beautifully appointed and modern mini-suite overlooking trees and a meadow. Very quiet. About a quarter of a mile off the main road. Location is atop a hill and some distance to the seaside and city. No views. Absolutely must have a car. Do-it-yourself continental breakfast ensuite. For the price, could easily have provided small, elegant touches, but didn't. No contact with owner/staff except at check-in the first of two nights.
Very comfortable, clean rooms. Excellent breakfast. Large room. Driveway to the house is very narrow and about 1/3 mile. The location is outside of Penzance so had to drive further to get to the sights.
Beautiful setting The staff was rude
Surroundings, excellent on suite room with spectacular views, gardens were a joy and the proprietor.was very helpful and friendly. none
Stunning sea views Radiators didn't work in the bedroom or bathroom. Cold & drafty rooms. We did complain at the time but haven't heard back from the hotel. Shame as main hotel is very nice. Wouldn't stay here again based on this alone.
Great hotel, huge and beautiful terriotry None
Warm water in pool! Fab sea view. Beautiful grounds & lovely old building. Clean room, great breakfast and very friendly check-in reception Steps to pool & the changing room floors were cold; being stone. Changing rooms in need of re-furb. Plumbing in room was a bit noisey and toliet flush was not all that effective.
Hotel clean with fabulous grounds and view. Room a bit noisy in the night as I think we may have been next to the boiler room. Don'nt think that the bath would have suited an elderly couple.
the evening meal. Did not expect carvery for the price and it wa.s very bad
The whole stay was very good Was surprised charged extra for room service
Location and view of St Ives All leisure facilities were very tired and not very clean. Room was a throwback to the 70's. Cannot believe it would ever fetch £175 per night as advertised on your site
View Creaky flooring
Position of the hotel in terms of views. The grounds of the hotel were also very attractive The check-in time were strictly enforced - no ley way for couple with baby. The shower broke down on second night. Decor needed updating in room and corridors, especially carpets. No air-conditioning in rooms, and struggled to get a fan. No iron and ironing board - they only had a laundry room on ground floor.
A really good impressive hotel and supporting staff Main evening meal was not served as hot as I wold have expected it to be. I consider warm food to be a poor reflection of an otherwise very good hotel
