Really lovely traditional French guest house, within very easy reach of shops/restaurants/market in Pezanas. The room on the top floor was very spacious, bright and airy, and the bed was super comfy. Bathroom facilities within the room were excellent. A hairdryer, and tea and coffee making facilities were provided in our room. The room was not air-conditioned (which we were aware of when we booked), but our lovely hostess provided an extra fan for the room when we struggled on the first night with the very hot temperature. Breakfast on the the gorgeous terrace was superb, with a selection fresh bread, croissants, homemade jam and fruit, and is is a great place to have nice conversations with fellow guests. Our hostess Regine, did not speak English, and my husband speaks only a little French, but with just a little help from google translate, we managed very well. She was most helpful in providing information on local transport etc., and went above and beyond one lunchtime when we arrived back at the accommodation intending to have a bread and cheese lunch on the terrace, only to find that all the local shops were closed for 'siesta'. Regine, was very quick to offer and provide a fabulous lunch of delicious cheese, bread, sardines etc. We thoroughly enjoyed sharing Regine's home with her, and would have no hesitation in returning to this accommodation should we find ourselves in the area in the future. The only thing to note is that sadly steep spiral stairs would make it difficult for anybody with mobility problems to access.
Breakfast was excellent fruit, croissant and bread with home made jams, served on an atmospheric terrace. The location was 2 minutes from the Saturday market which is one of our reasons for returning this time to Pezenas. Our hostess provided excellent advice on evening eating restaurants within 3 minutes of house.
Breakfast was fantastic. Lady was amazing, so helpful. Couldn’t do enough to help and at any time.
Would have helped to have air conditioning but did have two fans which helped
This was called a hotel but I would classify it more as a guest house or Airbnb. There were just three guest rooms and it was like staying in a private house. Room was comfortable and clean but on second floor with no lift due to the location. Excellent breakfast served in attractive courtyard setting. Right on the edge of the most interesting historical area of Pezenas and well worth exploring this neighbourhood
Difficult to manoeuvre luggage up to room although hotel owner/operator was helpful and did so for me. Car required to be garaged a five minute drive from the accommodation which wasn't ideal but as hotel was in old and historic part of town, guess this is necessary
Friendly owners. Pleasant atmosphere. Good breakfast. Great area to explore.
Really not the place to stay for older less able people because of the narrow steep stairs. Shower mat required as base quite slippery.
With a stay at Chambres d'Hôtes de Fleurus in Pezenas, you'll be within a 5-minute walk of Hotel d'Alfonce and Place Gambetta. Self parking (subject to charges) is available onsite.
