Nice accomodation in relatively calm quarter of Pireus, 5 minutes from metro and train. Everything was ok during our short stay.
So nice Hotel
Like it all. The staff are lovely

The hotel was sparkling clean. The staff were lovely. Although I only stayed one night they helped with directions to the airport bus stop nd the best way to get into Athens for a bit of last minute sight seeing. They stored my luggage all day and were so kind with offers of a cool drink on my return, despite the fact that I had already checked out.
It was a bit too far from Piraeus Port , not within walking distance but you could take train (very quick) or taxi. A good hotel before you ta
We stayed at Carol before and after our Cyclades trip. You may order "breakfast" in the room ANY time you like, even in the evening. It is very helpful if you have early morning ferry or tired to go out in the evening. Faliro Metro station and X96 Airport bus stops are very close to the hotel (500-700m), which is walkable distance even with the luggage. The receptionist made it possible for us to store our luggage for the day before evening flight. Some advice - for the airport use X96 bus (6eur, 1 hour). Do visit Acropolis Museum (perfectly organized, some activities for children, great museum shop) and National Archeological Museum (less impressive, but still the must see place). We also visited Byzantine Museum, which is not popular with tourists, but a great place to see something very special and distinct.
The hotel itself and facilities are good, no complaints. The weather in Athens is very hot in August (+35), so avoid outdoors places like Acropolis, travel by metro to indoors museums which are air-conditioned. The hotel is 2km from the ferry port. We walked that distance, but it was tough, I would recommend to travel between the hotel and ferry port by metro instead.
With a stay at Carol in Piraeus (Kastella), you'll be a 4-minute drive from Port of Piraeus and 7 minutes from Arch of Hadrian. Featured amenities include a 24-hour front desk, multilingual staff, and an elevator.
