I only stayed for the 1 night but found the staff friendly and helpful. I relaxed in the pool area and enjoyed a good nights sleep before my meeting the next day.
Good restaurant with well prepared food Shower in the room was almost impossible to adjust
Food rooms and curteous staff
the room was pleasing and a comfortable bed. yes, the refurbishment meant that the facilities were not up to standard, especially a make-shift restaurant with no windows/outside light.
All of the staff that we met at Ashford where extremely polite and friendly with a very professional manner. Very small point. The fantastic bathroom was let down by the stickers that had been stuck on the tiles (crooked) providing information and warnings.
Breakfast Hard Bed
The evening hotel staff were extremely friendly and we were not rushed at all during our meal I cut my foot in the pool area on a two pronged black 'tack' and had to get some first aid assistance - didnt seem to really be 'on the ball' but did give me spare plasters. Staff did not give the impression they knew how to use the stairlift down to the pool as my mother needed to us it and it took ages whilst they experimented with the different buttons and during all ths time everyone was watching my mum on their and couldnt get past and this was embarrassing for her. Under the DDA Regulations they should be totally prepared to accommodated customers with mobility impairments
Only ever stayed for one night many times prior to going and coming back from Spain via the tunnel. Comfortable beds, nice rooms and a good shower (makes a change not to have water all over the floor like many hotels). Breakfast is a feast and hot, dinner at night is also good will be back.
very comfortable room lack of facilities during renovation and particularly concerned for the large number of elderly / infirm people who had to climb stairs due to their being no lift available during the refurbishment.
Staff, much like the people in Ashford, were very nice. One of the front desk staff gave us a great recommendation and directions to a fantastic indian restaurant. Rooms are definitely not of the standard one would expect given the price and star rating. To say walls are thin is an understatement. Every noise from corridors and neighbouring rooms could be heard - including bathrooms. Rooms have been decorated, but are not maintained well - lots of large cobwebs and handle fell off door of the second room we were moved to (given the excess noise in the first). Second room whihc was a non-smoking room smelt badly of stale cigarettes. While staff/food were excellent, we could not ever recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a nights sleep. Also disappointed that our request for a room at end of corridor / very quiet room, did not get transferred from booking.com to the hotel (according to the hotel).
Ease of location and good value for money
staff very helpful, quiet room (which we asked for), good atmosphere
The on site bar and restraunt pleny of parking
The room had been well refurbished and was well appointed
Friendly staff, pleasant food
Staff friendly and helpful. Good location, easy access. Shabby decor/carpet stains
Helpful staff, good food, lovely room furnishing. No bar for residents after 11:00 p.m.
It was easy to stay there, left to yourself. It was quite cold with the radiators not working properly.
All round a very good experience
Friendliness of the staff
feeling welcome despite very late arrival after ferry crossing, free upgrade to family suite, well heated room, very friendly breakfast service a shame breakfast is not included in the room rates
room is good, the hotel may be better after finiching work, to find hotel very bad,
Very nice stay, friendly welcome, excellent breakfast
Very clean rooms! Excellent self-service breakfast with different cerials, fresh fruits and toast!
The view from our room was over the garden and downs, we had the continental breakfast at £4 it was excellent vaue
The rooms where immaculate and very well equiped with everything you could desire. The staff where extremly helpful and nothing was to much trouble. I really enjoyed staying at downsview, if you wish to stay at a hotel with the comfort of home, downsview is a sure choice.
Our room was furnished to a very high standard and was very clean It did not mention that currently they are doing the hotel up, therefore the only facilities that are up to standard is the bedrooms.
Nice place, with excellent staff.
Very comfortable room, the public area has yet to be renovated but it was ok. Handy for the eurostar also a short walk from restaurant for evening meal.
Fabulous beds! Full English breakfast is not worth the money.
very helpful and friendly staff. Nothing was too much trouble for them
The room was excellent and the location very good. I thought the breakfast for vegetarians was very limited even having phoned previously to check their would be a good selection. The portion given for vegetarians was exceptionally small.
perfect little pub hotel, faultless
Helpful staff, efficient service, tasty food, spacious and modern accommodation
The rooms were comfortable and well equipped We stayed 2 nights on 2 separate occassions. The second time was very cold. Apparently they had problems with the heating - we learnt on departure. We had a very cold uncomfortable night!!
Cleanliness of room, breakfast service For a single, a little on the pricey side
Good Parking facilities which is important, very clean room, spoilt by one of the lights not working. Bathroom excellent NA
The staff were friendly and the atmosphere was very homely, only item missing was the real fire in the lounge! Bedroom was good and comfortable and it was nice an quiet overnight - no sound of cars or revellers on the street! The food was not to the standard I would have expected of a country inn at the prices being charged. Lack of thought to presentation - a large "splodge" of mashed potatoes was on the plate with a breast of pheasant, and the same for fillet of lamb. Meat portions could have been slightly bigger. Breakfast in the morning was rather poor in quality - croissant was either stale or had been overheated, tea was not hot and service took too long,. Insufficent staff in morning for the number of guest coming down at one time., Would have been better to have done a self service cold buffet style breakfast and taken the pressure of the one girl serving and allowed guests to get their breakfast promptly.
Friendly & gave impression of a Family run type of hotel. Exceptionally well run, all round enjoyable experience. Will recommend easily to anyone wanting to use facilities locally.
very pleasant setting and liked it since the first time I stayed there,
Excellent friendly staff. Nice clean room, very comfortable stay
Location excellent, easy access to all major roads,10mins to Ashford.Foyer, bar, restaurant clean and adequate.Room itself was clean, modern,,had all facilities required including internet access, bathroom spacious, clean Two maor problems ; 1. Specificallly aasked for non-smoking room, the room no.005,smelt of stale smoke (non-smoking sign on door).Simpley not good enough.2. Noisey. It was double-glazed,but the nois from the A20 100m away was noticeable,to the point that my partner slept with ear plugs in.Again Simpley not good enough. There is plenty of choice for this locality, this hotel chain needs to sort this out.
Friendly, clean & very convenient, just off the m20. Would stay again. Nothing.
It was nice and clean, The bed was comfortble Yes. It was long way out of ashford and not siged posted well
Convenient location Noisy room, close to motorway
Everything about the hotel was fantastic No
Clean and comforatable with good facilities. Does exactly what it says on the tin....... Nothing really
Second time we have stayed here, only 30 minutes from Dover port allowing us to catch a ferry without a long drive and the hassle of the M25 and the Dartford Tunnel. Efficient service at check-in and breakfast!
It was a good place for us to meet up with some friends. However, it was for the sad occasion of a funeral in the locality. My wife and I found the beds a little too soft to what we are used to.
Good room, good breakfasts, helpful staff, good location. would be happy to stay here again.
quietness, beautiful parkland non smoking policy throughout the hotel!!!
Excellent service from staff, excellent Spa facilites none
The staff were very friendly and helpful. The main house and grounds are beautiful and the service was good. The spa and leisure facilities are also excellent. I have stayed in this hotel before but always in the main house. This time we stayed in a room in the Mews. The bed was very uncomfortable and the decor was tired and in need of redecoration (peeling wall paper, furniture with chipped paint, the bedding still had the Matalan labels on it!) I would recomend this hotel again because I know the rooms in the main house are excellent. However the room in the Mews was disappointing and I certainly didn't feel it was value for money (although it was clean).
facilities they put sugar in my porridge!
a great location, quiet and peaceful, the historical significance of the building, the attention to detail, the pool and spa was one of the best i have ever used anywhere, the quality of the food and beverage, the grounds available for a stroll. Really is a very nice hotel, with good management who have set the tone and atmosphere just right. reception staff on the evening i arrived where a little brash. not with myself, but a chap was checking out and they could not even manage a single please or thank you. "enter your pin number" "here is your invoice" The spa reception staff were not exactly welcoming either. A smile goes a long way on front of house. it was noticable as all other staff were excellent and the girls on reception when i checked out were a complete contrast. cheerful, hospitable and very polite.
on arrival I wanted to change my room, this was done with ease and extremely well handled by the staff, I found that all the staff very welcoming
Fantastic hotel with excellent spa facilities.Staff were extremely helpful and made us feel welcome.
The moment you arrive in the lovely grounds and surroundings the peace and tranquility. The restaurant in the pavilion bar and some of the robes need updating.
All of it Price of pre dinner drink
The use of the spa facilities
Very friendly and helpful staff. Nice breakfast. Room was a bit cold and no extra blanket/duvet was available in the room.
Staff very helpful, food was good. Given a room with extra sofa unfolded for children when we were a couple only.
very chilled ,not in your face, staff there if you needed them
friendly staff n/a
Good hotel, staff and breakfast, recommended None
Convenience and suitability for overnight stay
Location an d facilities Service not adequate
Lovely hotel, clean, confortable, great bar and restaurant. The staff were great. They had a function on the night we stayed and there werent enough people to hand and ended up waiting over 1 hour for our dinner and no bar staff unless called.
A pleasant overnight stay. Staff were both friendly and helpful. Both room and bathroom in good clean condition and bed very comfortable. None
Pleasant efficient staff. Comfortable facilities and excellent value. The attached Beafeater eatery was excellent.
Small and very friendly. The lady at reception was extremley helpful and welcoming and made a great fuss over all the children in the party. Nothing was too much trouble for her.
Room was spotlessly clean, large and very comfortable. Though situated quite near a busy road, the hotel does not suffer from traffic noise and I had a very good night's sleep. All staff were courteous, friendly and helpful - not something one can take for granted these days! The rate commonly advertised on tv, "from £29", was not available, even though I booked three weeks in advance. Still, £49 is quite competitive. Breakfast is not included in the room price.
In general the hotel was fine except for the bed which was frankly quite unacceptable.Went to bed dog tired and my wife in particular kept waking up on and off all night because of the mattress, which was frankly well overdue for replacement.Being a long suffering Brit I intended to complain and repay Premier by never staying with them again. After I complained to the Receptionist ,Sophie, in the morning I was frankly taken aback when the cost of the room was refunded on the spot under your "Good Night Guarantee".For this reason and the attitude of your staff we will certainly stay again if the need arises. A poor mattress which Premier addressed by way of a refund.
Clean room, good standard decor and facilities. Breakfast next door if you want. All you need for an overnight stay en route; we were catching the Eurostar next day Not having a sat nav in the car and arriving in the dark, we found it difficult to find. There weren't directions on the website
Very clean, very comfortable, good price, resturant on site, near my relatives. No frills
Comfortable bed, reasonably spacious room, tea/coffee-making facilities. Could hear road noise if window left open, but not a major problem.
The hotel is very convenient for the Channel Tunnel, the restaurant 'Beefeater' is very good, particularly the breakfast!
Very pleasant and helpful receptionist. Quiet location, excellent food next door. Parking good. Altogether a very enjoyable stay
Fast Check-In; good afford for money;spacious room (family room); cleanness ; continental breakfast buffet ; if you book breakfast your kid eat for free the cooked englisch breakfast
Very close to the eurostar ashford. Wanted to charge more than had booked it for, luckily I took proof of how much it was. However the staff were very nice on the desk and sorted it out in end, but this should not happen
New hotel with modern facilities, good breakfast Breakfast only starts at eight, due to the use of Beefeater facilities outside the hotels. Nevertheless the breakfast is excellent.
Good value for money and convenient location Room wasn't serviced one day during our stay
Clean and tidy with very good staff far superior to travelodge were will not stay again ever!
Modern, big enough, kindliness of the staff, quiet White glaze of the lights felt like in an hospital and we could hear the step of the upstairs neighbours
On site resturant, carparking, room size Air conditioning didn't work, Television didn't work, Rate was hire at check in had to provide evidence of our rate and get refund
Excellent location for our purpose, which was an overnight stay on return from Eurotunnel. Not a luxury hotel but povided all that was needed for the overnight stay.
the staff were really friendly in the hotel and also in the beefeater restaurant next door. The hotel is really quiet even that it was next door to a very busy road. i found the aircon was rather loud in the room but you can turn it of which was not an option for us as you can´t open the windows on the bottom floor for obvious safety reasons.
Value of money Incorrect address list on confirmation print out. It said 'Eureka Business Park', but the correct address should be under 'Eureka Leisure Park'. Sign of Premier Inn is big on buliding, but all cover up by trees around, hardly to see, was missed it on the first drive through.
Hotel is quite basic, but functional for my use No issues
Friendly staff, clean room, linens replaced daily, quiet environment. Was a bit too hot and it was not easily controlled. We had to open the curtains and nets and leave the window open to be comfortable.
Enjoyed our stay, was close to where we wanted to be, clean, staff were polite and helpful but was not told about youe 'Good Night Guarentee' policy. Friends of ours complained about the noise that kepted us awake from some time, as we were not told about your Good Night Policy we did not complain, they received a refund. Apparently there was guests staying who were three wedding parties this didn't us to have a restful sleep after travelling from the Midlands.
The reception staff were excellent in every respect - courteuous, helpful, friendly
No nonense approach, good business hotel The charge for use of internet, this should be free
Nice hotel with additional pub/restaurant attached - excellent Confusion at check in - reception tried to charge us more than quoted however the manager did sort this (just didn't need check in to take 30 mins after a 3.5 hr journey)
a nice big and clean room none
Easy to reach by car (i.e. near a busy road), handy for Eurostar & ferries. Restaurant across the carpark. Not exactly inviting decor, but clean and practical. Good TV. WLAN too expensive.
clean and very comfortable n/a
The swevice from the staff was excellent. Very informal. Lovely breakfast included in the price
Good value and location. Basic B and B no hairdryer/shampoo etc - I am used to staying in hotels and forgot to bring with me. I did book a double but was given a room with two singles.
Close to town centre their very hard bed!
Easy acces to dining options, easy walk from station. Good breakfast at good time. Shared bathrooms are aways a downer, but that was my choice.
Location is key : In downtown ( a short walk from the International Train station ) - Breakfast, next door was fair. The rooms are a little bit noisy ( especially if you stay on the ground floor ) and not warmed enough. The weather was really cold at the end of November in England and the heating system would not function during the day and only start around 7 PM .
I think that the position in the town and location on the way to the coast/ferries/channel tunnel, is a big plus for the location. Staff were friendly, and the late book-in time, was helpfull with a bingle on the Motorway holding us up. The breakfast was superb, absolutely fantastic. The rooms for the friday night were a little noisy, especially when the pubs obviously closed..He he...The doors also when they close are on an automatically closing device, and this is noisy in the middle of the night, when people come in, or even when people go to the loo. But overall that is pretty petty and i did enjoy the stay.
the most I liked was the room, so big( spacious) bright, clean and full of stuff also the little terace is really usefull.I didn't expect all this from a bed and breakfast. I've recomded it to all of my friends.
Great location. Free wi fi, friendly staff, clean, good price, little parking at the back. All in all a great choice for a weekend break
Extremy friendly and helpfull staff, made pick nick breakfast because we had to leave early. Beautiful room.
breakfast was very good, room clean and comfortable restaurant was not open
Very pleasant surroundings, nicely appointed room, good restaurant and bar, staff struck the right balance. TV reception was very very poor in my room (10), I suspected a faulty arial connection.
Convenient location - we were visiting friends. The shower in our room was barely more than a trickle
Lovely atmosphere, staff very friendly, rooms spotless, food excellent.
Very helpful staff and very clean rooms
Friendliness of staff and friendly atmosphere Very good food Slow checkout. Stains on bed side panel
Provided dinner despite our arrival at 21:45 on a wednesday evening! No problems.
Very friendly staff. The manager did every job (Reception, Bar, serving Breakfast and Dinner) almost alone and he did it well. Romms are very clean, every day we got new towels. Rooms are good tempered. A very quiet hotel. The italien restaurant has a good menue and the food is very good. The Bar closed at 09.30 pm. The bar was not well temepered it was to cold to sit and to join a drink.
Nicer than I thought it would be. I wanted somewhere close to the Tunnel to go home to Spain, it is perfect, being only 14 miles away. Nice staff, good food, couldnt fault it and my twin room was 40 a night.Plenty of parking too. Brilliant. No complaints
Staff very friendly. Rooms clean.
