The peace and quiet of the gardens and pool area.Very helpful staff. Breakfasts were fantastic. We had most evening meals in the trattoria, which was excellent. No
Outstanding staff, charming hotel, lovely relaxing surroundings, family-friendly (ideal children 12 years+), situated in beautiful part of the island. No
Natural parc and close to the sea Cleaning service is very poor, quality of food is poor
Excellent food. Beautiful setting. Polite, hard working staff. Slightly pricey for 4* hotel
Excellent resort, good sports facilities, very clean, delicious food. We will definitely stay at this hotel again. The beach is separated from the hotel by a quite busy road. People who like it quieter will have to travel to Cap Formentor or at least to Port de Pollentia.
Stayed 7th to 15th August 7 adults 3 children age 8 to 15. Upgraded to all inclusive. Rooms clean in both Marris and Village, much larger rooms in the Village, sport facilities very good, swimming pools/tennis courts etc. Some very nice beaches near by Negatives, staff are mainly curt unsmiling, service poor/especially in the Village dining area, wait a long time to order drinks through a two designated staff who don’t like to be chased. Food in buffet restaurants edible but very average, service in Marris buffet better and the same food. Sunbeds very difficult to get being reserved from 6am, very little space around the pools. Remote spot with no really beach car essential. I holiday with family twice a year for two weeks in April and August and have stayed in a lot more friendly and pleasant places. Would not go back.
The hotel was in an amazing setting, beautiful clean pools outdoor, heated pool indoor, tennis, squash, archery , surfing and sailing school, trial dives, excellent buffet food - something that we looked forward to morning and eve, and you would never guess that it catered for many guests - it was very well organised. After dinner you could mingle in the various corners with cosy sofas, meet other guests, play games chat - very welcoming - I would highly recommend it! (stayed with an 8 and 12 year old) the front rooms might be noisy as close to the street, which runs infront of the hotel, but this was not noticeable at the sides d back, which overlooked a nature reserve
The sports facilities were very good and the resort had a nice open feel with lots of greenery. The staff were also very friendly and efficient. Food was consistently of a good quality. Shame that the hotel fronts a busy road which spoils the otherwise stunning views and setting. Food could have been a bit more varied. Charging for hire of tennis rackets was a bit petty.
The Rooms were a little dated and very noisy. Cleaning staff very rude - Being woken at 8am on our last day by a rude cleaner wanting to know when we would be out of out room was not a good experience.
Everything - the food, the accommodation, the facilities, the staff, the weather just about everything.
The staff were very friendly and Francoise at the hobby club reception was super helpful.
I liked the location as it was very relaxing. I think there should be more evening entertainment, the group who did it were a mime act and it was a bit boring. It would have been nice to have had a variety of entertainers instead of the same faces each night. The other thing I think would improve the hotel is the non-smoking facilities, the best room with the piano was set aside for smokers, this was a bit disappointing for the majority of us who do not smoke and most of the time the room was empty. This hotel is supposed to be a sporty hotel after all!. I think if the room was reserved for non-smoking adults who would have also liked to have had the opportunity to have a drink with a nice piano player, this would have improved my holiday SMokers area could be outside next to pool table
Beautiful location, pool, restaurant, beach the rooms are not in style with the building and the unique place. (poor floors!)
lovely gardens, mix of visitors, many elderly people or couples with toddlers. Remote location was a drawback as well.
I really enjoyed the secluded location, wonderful gardens, cristal clear water, fantastic view of the Formentor bay from my sea side room. I think that having to pay 30 euros for a sun chair at the beach, which is supposedly reserved to Barcelo Formentor guests,is frankly too much, given the rather stiff price of the hotel accomodation ..
The location is perfect for a luxury, peaceful holiday in excellent quality and beautiful surroundings. The hotel exudes an atmosphere of days gone by whilst providing every modern luxury. The beach, despite being public, has an air of exclusivity. The gardens were superb, more aptly described as parklands than gardens. The view of the bay from our bedroom was one of the best sea views ever experienced. The breakfast buffet is extensive. The restaurant and bars were not cheap but no worse than you would expect from a five star hotel
The beach, sea and beach restaurant
The location is great for peace and quiet, right by the beach in its own bay. The gardens are magnificent. The view from our room terrace and from the breakfast/dinner terrace were superb. A great place to celebrate our anniversary and had a wonderful stay. However, fortunately we were touring, so only had to endure the bad points for one night. Having stayed at many 4 and 5 star hotels, this one is very poor value for money. A hotel charging 6 Star prices, bordering on 2 to 3 star quality and facilities in the rooms. 2 single beds pushed together to make a double, very poor quality bath/shower/toilet, No tea/coffee making facilities, very low quality stocked minibar, there are better room service menus in a basic holiday inn or hilton (also at a third of the price and without a 20% room service charge on top of this). Unfortunately some of the staff think it's a 5 star as well, with their stuffy attitude. Unbelievably high prices in the restaurant and not of the quality experienced in many other establishments in Spain.
The proximity to the Fromentor Coast is great and this aspect is certainly worth the visit. This hotel really did not suit us at all. It was like a country club, and not 'Spanish' at all which was disapointing. Food was average and the whole feel was very old and out dated. Rooms were old looking, food was buffet and OK - but lacked personality. It was 5 star and certaily did not feel it. Staff did not smile and needed to be asked and probed for information.. it was also completely uninhabited, so it was hard to understand why they would ignore you for 3 minutes while standing at reception waiting to ask a question? The beach was fine and apparently completely brillant for these parts?? Although we are Australians and this was really a very average beach for us. Not good value for money.
Convenient No parking
Helpful staff, good breakfasts. As we had to check out very early, when we settled the bill the night before, we were offered filled rolls to be left in the cooler behind the bar, and to help ourselves to juices etc to take with us. No tea/cofee making facilities in room. No info in room about anything - copy of menus, map of town, how to use TV/computer etc would have been useful. Our room overlooked the square and very noisy as we prefer windows open to AC.
friendly staff, nice place there were some people of the staff who spoke only spanisch
Friendly staff, good food and very clean hotel in a wonderful location. Not great check in and check out although we found that made the whole experience very relaxed.
Family run hotel with excellent family members in the staff making for a very friendly establishment in a very nice Mediterranean town square. The building is a former bank with very nice fittings eg a lift for 2 floors lack of a swimming pool
A friendly 'family affair', eager to please sadly, neighbouring construction works but the staff did all they could to persuade contractors to modify/time the noise to minimise disturbance
Staff helpful and friendly Smoking in public areas and smell of stale smoke permeates everywhere including bedrooms. Bed was the hardest we've ever slept on - the floor would have been as comfortable
A wonderful hotel beside the old town square, highly recommended for a peaceful break. Friendly staff who were very helpful. Great access to Pollenca and especialy to the market on Sunday. Please put a full length mirror in the room.
Location, clean comfortable room, helpful staff Not really - no tea / coffee making facilities in room
The feeling of being in the centre of everything in a relaxed atmosphere with helpful staff, and comfortable accommodation. The inside of the lift was quite dirty when we arrived, and when we left 2 days later no attempt had been made to clean it. When the lift opened on the 2nd floor guests were confronted with a pile of laundry, and although clean it did not give a very good first impression. At breakfast the bar floor had not been swept from the previous evening and the floor was littered with cigarette ends - also the tables had not been cleaned.
It was quiet and very close to all local amenities. It was very clean and the breakfast was of a very good standard.
Beautiful building and furnishings, great ambience, welcoming staff and location in. to wonderful village. Good but simple breakfast. Nothing
pleasant staff, nice location our room was over the kitchen, very noisy and beds were too hard
I really loved the attentive staff. We were leaving at 6am on a Friday, and I asked the receptionist whether someone would be there to check us out. She responded that someone would be there, and that she would arrange to have breakfast out for us at 6am (breakfast normally starts at 7). Sure enough, a generous spread was waiting for us. The breakfast buffet was also very good. Our room was on the floor by reception and it was very noisy. Also, the whole room smelled of mold, but I suppose that is hard to avoid at the beach.
Hoposa Niu is a lovely quiet hotel with an excellent beach location, a beautiful restaurant and bar and excellent breakfast. the staff are friendly and I would recommend it for a quiet relaxing holiday , for friends or couples.
Clean & adequate Not private or secure
Friendly atmosphere, very clean, private garden and pool. all amenities, quiet position, near to centre of Pollensa taxi pick up from Palma by hotel staff , and return. Late breakfast, 'til 10.15am For the amount of money, the hotel charges, the breakfast wasn't wonderful !! Hot buffet breakfast not replenished, and could be quite cold Wouldn't stop me going again though.Continental OK.
The hotel was fantastic and I would certainly recommend it as a perfect small boutique hotel. Rooms were exceptional and the breakfast was amazing. The hot water for the shower was not always very hot, otherwise i have no complaints.
All the staff were efficient, friendly and helpful. The hotel itself was just what I was expecting and the garden was a delight. If I was going in the winter it would be pleasant to have a residents' lounge.
Brilliant Would have liked telly in Garden Room area.
everything.. the hotel and the area were fabulous no.. couldnt fault the hotel in any way.highly recomended. excelent service. and very pleasant and helpfull staff..
Room was 1st rate; cleaning schedule was flexible and staff were unobtrusive; tea and coffee making facilities were provided (rare in Spain)
It was a peaceful stay. The staff were attentive and there were a lot of little extras given to the guests
The location of the hotel was excellent as was the breakfast.
The friendliness and helpfulness of all made sure of a very relaxing and pleasant stay All good
Silence The public
Excellent selection of food especially for children. No.
Situation. Helpful staff, particularly after a foot injury that required hospital treatment. Sometimes the standard of the food for the main course at dinner was not particularly good.
The staff were excellent, Raphael at reception always willing to help. Nothing was ever a bother to ask him.
quiet environment in good location towels not changed / drinking glasses not cleaned
food excellent and hotle staff very friendly and helpful. I was put in a room at the back of the hotel which I was not pleased about. I requested a room at the front of the hotel with a seaview but this was not available.
Directly on the beach. Pleasant hotel staff. Extensive breakfast buffet. Cab rides can get expensive. Hotel is a 10 Euro cab ride from the town of Pollenca, so if you are not renting a car, it can get expensive to go into town. There isnt much around Grupotel Molins and Cala San Vicente. Its a sleepy little resort area.
Its location. The area is not as commercialised as some similar sized resorts (positive) and relatively Yob free (definitely positive). The hotel itself had a relaxing atmosphere, which was complemented by the quality of the food. The bedroom, although acceptable, was not of the same standard in terms decor, as the receptions areas of the hotel
The only thing was right was food.
The location is unrivalled, the staff pleasant and the generous room upgrade unexpected and well received.
great location food is ordinary
The location of this hotel is really excellent! (Don't even think about rooms without sea view!!!) We were around the whole island and this is the best place for those who doesn't like crowded 'tourist' places. The bay/beach is beautiful and peaceful, ideal for relaxing under the sun. The hotel itself is quite large, but quiet and calm, rooms are acceptable. Not really a modern hotel. :) Cleanness under expectation - our bath was dirty! The breakfast was mainly for the taste of British people, missing of good traditional flavours. You have to pay for the room safe and wifi.
Beutiful scenery. Outdated and slow elevators in hotel building.
everything was ok and the staff very friendly/helpful the only thing we missed in our room was a fridge (not minibar but only fridge).
Staff friendly and helpful. Rooms are clean and spacious enough. Breakfast in the main square overlooking the weekly market. Hotel in the heart of town. A very pleasant stay.
Service and comfort
Clean, simple room. The hotel is an annexe to the Hotel Juma. You have to go there for your breakfast. We had to leave early to catch up a bus so could not make breakfast. They provided us with a very poor room service breakfast of a dry sandwich, yogurt and lukewarm coffee.
This hotel is ideally situated in the centre of Pollenca... in very good decorative order and has been managed by the same family for several generations. We were lucky enough to book the accommodation at a special offer price which included breakfast in their main hotel only a short walk away. Would definitely return.
Close to town centre No on site parking
The atmosphere and friendliness and its position close to the central square No
Lived up to expectation. Good personalised service. Excellent location in centre of pollenca.
very comfortable and breakfast outside
nice friendly atmosphere
Good position with parking reserved for the disabled with a badge. A very good restaurant within 50-100 yards.Helpfull staff. Not far from town sqare. Would stay there again Nothing comes to mind
Clean comfortable classy hotel away from the noisy square but near enough to take advantage of the evening,s excitement. Lovely location near floodlit gardens. Owner very helpful and keen to please. Nothing
A quiet hotel with stylish well designed rooms and amenities.Staff friendly and quietly attentive. no parking available, we had to park the car a considerable distance from the hotel and carry the luggage.
The closeness to the centre of Pollensa The bedroom was very sparsely furnished and dark
Very helpful and friendly staff.
Really nice staff in a brand new and nicelly decorated hotel. Nice village, ideal place to start little day trips by car or by bike. (both nature and beach nearby) The hotel is at the street, so it can be a little bit loud (but nothing to grave either)
Excellent, helpfull staff and management based in a town location which was ideal for a short break. Great for just sitting and relaxing watching the world pass by. Great location for foodies with numerous restaurants nearby.
Terrific breakfast, pleasant staff, great location, good value.
very friendly and welcoming staff, a little bit of the real Spain
friendly.efficient,considerate staff. excellent location
very welcoming staff, excellent location, pollensa is a lovely spot
the location was central, the staff freindly and helpfull the breakfast was large but basic and the same every day
Location and staff friendliness
I appreciated the kindness of the staff and the cosy atmosphere of this small, family-run hotel located right in the main square of the nice village of Pollença. We really appreciated the breakfast served in the shady and beautiful squadre. We rented a double room with an extra bed for our daughter and the room was actually a bit small to accommodate three beds. However, this was only a minor problem, given all the positive aspects of this hotel.
location, friendly and helpful staff.
We requested a double room but were given 2 single beds.
Enjoyed hotel and area in late April. Everything in hotel entertaiment library and good food.
Absolutely nothing Everything
Easy to book rooms. Efficient staff. Clean, nice room.Nice dining room and foyer. Good location for my sports activities of cycling. Affordable prices. Food was not as varied as in other hotels iI have stayed in in this area.Didn't like having to pay with cash for drinks during evening meals. Would rather put drinks bill onto room bill and pay at end of stay.
Great location, beach within 5 minute walk and very safe for children. Plenty of evening entertainment and good facilities for the children. The staff were brilliant and very friendly. Beautiful pool and plenty of sun loungers. Thouroughly enjoyed our 2 week stay and will definitely return in the future.
relaxed atmosphere handy to beach also fine pool and spa
Comfortable room, clean, great shower, good view from room, food good and plentiful, evening entertainment good. The room needed a tv. The quantity of drink supplied at the bar varied according to who served you (shorts) and as the drinks are not cheap this was annoying.
There was a very good number of sunbeds around the pool and a large number of comfortable chairs in the lounge areas. Also there was entertainment at night and competitions during the day. I thought the standard of food could be better.
We enjoyed a very relaxing week at this older style hotel, the childrens pool was perfect for our 3 year old and we particularly enjoyed the choice of food available for breakfast. definitely ready for a facelift, paint peeling from window ledges etc.the evening meals were not child friendly and the breakfast coffee and fruit juices were the worst ever.
Loction, good evening entertainment, efficient staff, friendly atmosphere Lack of TV in room
spa was excellent. Breakfast was a lasrge buffet style, however cost cutting was apparent i.e. orange juice wasnt juice it was squash. I didnt like the fact that the tennis and ping pong was advertised as free but actually there was a hire charge for the racquets and balls (similarly with the ping pong). Swimming pool opened at 9am which was a little too late if you wanted a swim before breakfast.
Nice location with 10 min walk to center, nice staff&great service, hotel facilities ok, great beach, food ok. The room that was provided (213) was substandard - we had to pay for an upgrade.
Helpful staff - we were immediately offered an excellent alternative room in the annexe when we found that the "sea view" from our original room was limited.
It was in a fine building, smartly maintained, with a pool and also plenty of shaded areas to relax. Staff were helpful end efficient; breakfast buffet very good indeed; and it was very well located for beach and town Nothing adverse at all - we may well visit it again.
The location, just across from beautiful beach, and close enough to town centre, bus stop to all destinations just a few steps away, and about 15 minutes walk from centre. Friendly staff and extremely helpful in any possible way. A pleasure to deal with. Rooms very clean. Very good breakfast. wardrobe was smelling of mould. a bit dated.
very lovely receptionist. Chilled out place generally. Good pay as you go internet too many mosquitoes and the fan extractor was dirty
Staff were very helpful dealing with a problem with the booking - they had guaranteed a booking but had no rooms available. Sourced me alternative accomodation in a nearby apartment complex They should ensure along with booking.com that availability is clearly indicated
4 course buffet dinners superb - excellent choice, tasty food well presented, eat as much as you like. Nice aspect dining room. Very good hotel location with views of sea and hills. Room and bathroom spacious, enjoyed sea view and balcony. Staff very helpful and efficient. No tea making facilities in room. Some noise from adjoining rooms, particularly from above.
Location very close to beach and town. Parking was easy, good internet connection, friendly staff. Breakfast is chaotic and disorganised.
Great staff, fantastic food - we loved the hotel. Location perfect right on the beach and great pool. Thanks to all who looked after us.
good food, friendly dining room staff, clean internet facilities far too expensive
Small shop, games for children such as table tennis (2 e/30 mins), attractive environment. The showers are dangerous. The boiler system is not adequate and the water temperature constantly fluctuates from cold to burning hot. The only plug suitable for the kettle is situated next to the cooker hob and the kettle lead has to run over the hot plate, which takes a long time to cool down - so beware! There were no instructions for using the hob and the on-light seemed to come on in a random way. The hob was in need of an upgrade, as was almost everything else in the apartment. We went in low season and the heating didn't work. The reception staff were not very welcoming. It is a shame we cannot recommend this hotel as it would be ideal for familes with young children but the showers could cause serious burns to a young child.
Studio for 3 of us sleeping - very confined space and sofas pull out beds did not allow comfortable living space - furniture had to be put out on balcony to allow some living space
Friendliness of staff, closeness to all holiday facilities and beach. Pool area very noisy, Lifts could be updated
Comfortable well equipped apartment. We enjoyed the peaceful location with just a short stroll into the resort centre. Pool and surroundings are well maintained and attractive. A big plus was the provision of heating in our accommodation.
Good location within a residential area, with easy access to beach and restaurants. Very helpful staff on reception. Beds uncomfortable, sound proofing between rooms non-existant, late bar did not stay open late although that was probably an advantage to keep noise down
Housekeeping was very good.
the location. The generosity. all-inclusive excellent value and choice no queing or feeling like on a holiday camp. That you can use all facilities at sister Hotel Don Pedro. Yes accomodation is split with a small road in between but no problem what so ever made you feel you were staying in a smaller establishment and road was quieter and narrower than some hotel corridors Pools small and crowded and unappealing, If you want a holiday around the pool maybe disappointed but why would you when you are right next to the cleanest and most picturesque coves and sea teeming with fish and underwater rocks etc. wonderful for snorkeling we spent hours everyday in the sea. Some people complained not much to do.... get a bus or taxi into peutiopolensa, catch the water taxis t
The town and good facilities in the hotel. Food excellent Chocie of rooms - requested sea view but did not get it.
Staff, hotel location and inclusive deal
i really enjoyed the entertainment antd the viw from the hotel looking on to the beach
food ,atmosphere shower pressure cost of key for safe at 5 euros per day room allocated was last in hotel and was not great with only a roadside view ,full curtain required over bath to stop water getting everywhere
Great location - lift on the 1'st floor - not very good for people with babies - difficulty walking etc. - staff were brilliant they moved us to Don Pedro very relaxed. If we didn;t have buggy and busy 2.5yo would have been very happy to stay.
Very comfortable and relaxing atmosphere. - Quietness - Good Food - Cleanliness - Polite and helpful staff - Close to beach - Good night time entertainment - Adults only solarium Perhaps some sunshades could be made available at pool and solarium
The restaurant The old elevator
Food was good, staff were very friendly, location is excellent!! noise from people banning the doors, sound proof of the rooms are not good
The staff was very friendly, shower pressure was great, and room had a good view of the mountains and sea. all activities and dining were actually at the hotel next door, it was inconvenient.
