Location to the shore was great as well as access. The hotel is very nice. It's located off of A1A and be all appearance should be quite. The first few nights were fine. The last night I was there, the neighbors were fighting and racing up and down the road. Police were there until 12:00 AM.
Leaving so soon
The owners were extremely congenial!! Nothing

No available non smoking rooms. The bed was infected with bed bugs. The airconditioning system didn't work properly.
The room was very clean. Not being able to check in early after driving for 12 hours even though I called ahead several times to check to see if the room was ready.
location and price. Good value motel in touristic and pricy south florida. not free wifi.
Wooden floor instead of carpet made it cleaner The area is not safe
I liked the size of the bed and the general cleanliness of the place. I also liked the fact that the proprietors are Polish because I had many wonderful experiences in Poland many years ago on a concert tour. The room was hot. The AC had not been started. I made the reservation very late in the evening, but they did not know I was coming until I got there (Kayak communication?). It took an hour after I arrived before I could move the sofa into place in front of the AC unit to be cool enough to sleep. By the time I left, it was lovely. (It's Florida in early August.) There were also a couple of small roaches. I would not hesitate to go back, but would make the reservation well in advance.
Nothing about this place makes me want to come back. Let's see. Between the homeless camp outside my door reeking of beer and vomit, cockroaches with their droppings and ants all over the beds, how we had to go and buy or own toilet paper for the room because there is no cleaning service unless you stay a whole 7 days, we stayed 5. Or how about their pool water always being dirty with plant and insect debris, and literally the only thing keeping the pool full are 2 hoses. No, there was no breakfast offered so don't believe their listing. Worst stay ever!
Close to beach The lady running it is rude, just a poor attitude, it weird she is that way.
The worst place I ever stayed The bed had big steel parts sticking out
Clean, comfortable bed. Sketchy neighborhood, difficult parking, lengthy time to check in
Nothing Their was mildow on the walls their beds were basty they had drug dealers all around the hotel and people walking with guns up an down the streets I would like a refund - adam
Run down and in need of remodeling
No phone to contact front desk. Person in front desk is not knowledgeable to give specific detection to room. No specific maps
I hated everything about this "motel"!! Worst experience I have ever had! I hated everything about this "motel"! The location was terrible! Located in the ghetto with a terrible crime rate! The motel room smelled horrible! Vending machines didn't work so you couldn't even get a drink at the motel! There was no coffee in the room! There were no hangers, hairdryer or soap! The room didn't even have a remote for the tv! Terrible experience and the price was outrageous!! Worst mistake ever!!
Nothing Location, condition of room, and not safe
Nothing. Price was ok but when it's all said and done your spending $100. The place was trashed. I asked why the King bed room was more then the 2 standard beds and the guy said because it had a fridge and microwave. I said I'd upgrade because I was hoping for a fridge. When I got to the room there was no fridge or microwave. The room was dirty and gross. Next morning I called down asking for late checkout. Lady said its $10 every hour past 11, she reluctantly said I could have till 11:30. Didn't matter, house keeping was banging on my door at 10:55. I told them the front desk gave me till 11:30. Then at 11:25 they were banging on the door again, I was getting dressed when the guy opened my door, luckily I had the safety lock on above or he would've come right in. Worst hotel stay ever. It's not worth the 10-30 savings over other budget places.
The proximity to where I was working that day. Everything about this hotel/motel should be demolished. On the opposite side of where most of the people were staying, there were about 6 windows broken, doors completely ripped off. If I have children, this place is not an option. Police have to monitor the motel to make sure people don't get out of hand during the night. I would never recommend this place to anybody.
Very big room and close to beach Some strange smell like new decoration
Pleasant courtyard, helpful staff, close to beach Busy, noisy road.
Location Office hours of lobby: outside area around pool not kept clean: trash laying around everywhere
Close to home rented for out of town guest, the Hotel Employee was very helpful and the price was great The electrical hookups
The best thing I could say about this hotel is its location. The shower was very good. TV remote had to be recalibrated. A/C brought smoke in from outside. The bed had no blanket-only a thin coverlet.
good location This hotel is very very basic no ice no coffe and very expensive
The timely check in

somewhat clean . price was good first day man at front desk very rude. lights did not work. everything was old and worn. even the toilet seat had the paint worn off and was showing wood . even though we booked for 4 people there was always only 2 towels had to beg for them. continental breakfast never any coffee or hot water for tea and not much of anything . just cld cereal,
Quaint, friendly staff. We chose the Rip Tide because we wanted the charm of the classic motel/hotels of years ago & it fit our wants/needs Definitely not their fault, but Mother Nature put a "damper" on our stay!! We made the best of it but could only imagine that nicer weather would've only made the charm & experience that much better!
Towards the end of the board walk Close to several eating places Outside music / bar on property 2 free hrs. bicycle rental Staff very nice and helpful Free WiFi You can only check in until 9 and then office closes Was not given Wi-Fi password and it wasn't in the room so I couldn't work my first night (apology given, and accepted)
on the beach bar scene
The staff were very pleasant & helpful. The hotel was in a prime location and we could use two beaches. One was within 5 - 10 minutes walking distance and the 'Fort Lauderdale Beach' was 5 - 10 minutes on the bus. There were a great choice of restaurants in the area too.
I liked the staff, the kinda retro vibe, low keyed. It was right next to the beach, just had to cross the A1A. Bar right there, free breakfast. Lauderdale by the Sea is more relaxed than Ft. Lauderdale and they didn't allow spring breakers in so there was never loud noise. I would highly recommend this hotel. It was all fine. It isn't luxury by any means so if you like super fancy, this isn't the place. Other than that, it was perfect.
The staff was very friendly. I was happy to be close to the beach. For the money I paid, I was very far from the airport and any sort of night life. But that was definitely not the worst. I do not like to give bad reviews, but the room was hot and musty, the mattresses were covered in plastic and worst of all, my friend got BED BUGS. Talk about being embarrassed about booking that room. I would not recommend the hotel to anyone.
It is a "nothing special hotel", next to a very busy road. Luckily my room was not noisy. Maybe the breakfast is a little boring after a few days. Also the wireless had problems in my room.
Too far from airport and ship port. Was not clean. Didn't book our shuttle when we requested it. Continental Breakfast was awful.
Customer service was horrible. I damaged by vehicle on the building because there were no signs warning me of a sharp turn. When I asked for help the staff was rude. When I asked for assistance from the manager over the phone he made excuses for his staff and refused to help with expenses to fix my vehicle.
This hotel was an unexpected treat because has the original architecture, lighting and friendly staff without even trying to market their retro vibe. Reminds me of the hotels in the south florida mysterIes I love to read, Best part, I was a little worried because I was unfamiliar with the area, no problems at all, we even left our car unlocked without knowing. Great bar and fun bartender, make sure you ask the price of the "Skittle" shot offered before you order one or more!!!
Staff was was friendly, WIFI was very sporadic....and had to be outside to use it. So bring a long Ethernet cable as the port may not be in an ideal location (mine was hidden behind the TV stand) . Bar was closed (by the state of Florida.....not sure why.) Close to Beach, local stores and restaurants. Not fancy....no frills....but a good value. WIFI isn't strong ....must be outside of room (in patio area) to use. Even then it was sporadic. Parking was a little limited due to the rear parking lot losing about 10 spaces due to being flooded.
Nothing. I could not wait to check out. Nonsmoking room smelled like smoke. the room I was transferred to had the A.C. off. I had the front desk figure out the connection. the room did not cool off until after 3 A.M.
Nothing that we liked, my wife wanted to leave immediately and couldn't wait to leave, we travel the world, but this hotel is no three star, may be less than one.
The hotel was located across the street from the beach which was easily accessible. Many restaurants and clubs were nearby. Staff was helpful when we were in need of cab service. The bathroom, although small, had been recently renovated. The hotel is in need of updating. Many things were outdated. We felt the room was overpriced, although we were there during high season.
Great location & solid WiFi! (Hotel Employee) & staff were very nice & attentive. Even threw party for guests during local parade. Hotel 1 block from beach & boardwalk with restaurants & bars in short walking distance. Washer & Everything was at the very least acceptable.
Location and cleanliness and the fact that I could cook and not have to go out and eat. The price.
Location and room They were not there to check us in- we had to wait an hour in the heat outside. The suite had window unit that was off, therefore the suite was extremely hot. It did not cool down. Florida was in the 90s. We slept hot. Expensive to receive this service.
great location to the airport and nice clean facilities. Rooms were a bit noisy, and I felt the staff could've been a bit more accommodating and friendly.
Convenient to the airport, booked at the last minute during an unexpected layover in FLL. Clean, feels very new. A bit sterile; other than the airport, not too much going on
Staff is top notch. Free shuttle to the airport. Nothing negative
Good price for clean, quiet, modern single King room. Shuttle to airport was a nice convenience. The staff were friendly. Decent place to stay if you just need a room overnight in close proximity to FLL. Only a very slight annoyance: a rail line runs just a block or so west of the hotel, so the occasional train horn in the middle of the night might keep light sleepers from getting a full night rest.
Angel was very cheerful and helpful!
Staff was friendly and location was good. Just a short walk to the beach and shops. Good value. Mattress was basic and pretty firm. The room, in particular the bathroom, was dated and in need of renovations. The pool was right in front and not very private from the street or other rooms. Decorative fountains had green water that needed to be cleaned.
Tropicaire was Clean and comfortable with a.Good price point ! If your looking for a Fancy hi rise, this is not what your looking. Small family owned, very peaceful and relaxing location within walking distance to restaurants and beach. No
We had originally booked another hotel, but after discovering an infestation of fleas in the bed, we wanted to move. Tropicaire checked us in at close to midnight after a last minute booking and then provided us with their largest room/apartment. They were very accomidating. The service was good. While the hotel is still a budget "mom and pop" place, we were comfortable and the price was good. We found two cockroaches during our 4 night stay. Not as bad as fleas, but still a bit gross. We just killed them and got over it, but I dont think I would book this place again.
A nice motel centrally situated in Lauderdale on a very quiet street. It is about 200 meters from the beach and close to shops and restaurants. The motel is built as a horse shoe around a quiet pool. The owners are very friendly and helpful. I'd recommend this motel to anyone visiting the area. All guests were happy to chat to each other, a very pleasant atmosphere. N/A
Excellent manager, he put himself out to ensure everyones comfort.
We received perfect service and was very welcomed by owner. Also left camera in room and called the camera was found and returned by owner. Nice to see honesty still exists! Very pretty courtyard and clean pool.
It is a peaceful relaxing place to stay and a short walk to both beach major food store and mall and pier....no need to jump in the car as in most cases, and Ted the manager is it seems there 24 / 7 to cover our needs,
