Cons: Nothing! We have no complaints whatsoever!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely room comfortable bed well set up
Cons: Nothing
6.8 Good
Pros: Breakfast was nice with friendly staff, but come evening you are treated as second class.
Cons: I don't know what hotels the other reviewers have experienced, maybe one star, or they were so drunk they did not notice. Very noisy until 11:00 but this should be expected for a pub inn. THIS IS NO PLACE WHERE YOU CAN RELAX..Parking was full on my return from a 12 hour hike staff were unhelpful, they expected me to wait until non guests finish up, this took 20mins of waiting for them to move their vehicle from the resident car park. No apology from the staff.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The breakfasts were excellent. The staff were very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Location very convenient for our purposes. The room was kept in excellent order on a daily basis.
Cons: Our room (no. 7) was very 'crowded' and was not large enough for two single beds. It was almost impossible to move the chair from under the inaccessible desk. The bathroom needed some shelves. The sole, very small sash window was located at floor level and as the only source of daylight and ventilation, was near useless. (The noise level from the bar entry directly below ensured that you were very reluctant to open the window.) When the window was open any small child could easily fall to their death.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely room, good excellent, staff were very welcoming and friendly
Cons: Nothing
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly staff.
Cons: The weather was hot which meant the room was rather warm even with the fan that was provided.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The food was excellent. A fillet steak cooked to perfection in a village inn was unexpected but really welcome. Breakfast just as good. The staff - every one of them - were so friendly and helpful.
Cons: A little noise since our room was above the kitchen. The hot water was only just warm for morning shower.
7.5 Good
Pros: Location, staff and food
Cons: The noise, the fire doors seemed to be broken and were banged every time someone went through them. These need fixing and made to soft close - otherwise we wont be going back. Also Room 2 very hot with no ventilation - a fan would have sorted this out somewhat.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Friendly, clean, nicely decorated! Food was excellent!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Wow what a lovely setting, friendly, clean, excellent food, the room, nice fluffy towels, shower was lovely, bar, grounds are all kept lovely. The staff are happy, welcoming and nothing to much for them to ensure your stay is perfect. The seating outside is pleasant, clean and comfortable in fact I cannot find fault in this little "gem" of a hotel.
Cons: It could be mentioned that no food is available on a Sunday night when booking.

Pros: The Fox and Hounds was in a very pleasant village location, next to a small brook. The room was superb, we had plenty of space. The full Welsh breakfast was also very hearty and the ales the pub had offer were also great.
Cons: Nothing.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The delightful location. Very warm welcome from friendly and efficient staff and help with my suitcase. Lots of nice little touches eg fresh milk in a small thermos-type container, rather than the sterilised capsules, for tea and coffee in the bedroom. The character of the old pub combined with modern bedroom and bathroom facilities. A good choice of excellent food. Comfortable bed and a peaceful night’s sleep!
Cons: Awful music in the bar (thankfully not too loud though)!
10.0 Excellent

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The bed was comfy and the room spotless. Breakfast was smashing and the staff and locals made us feel very welcome. We'll definately stay at the Lord Nelson again if we find ourselves in the area.
Cons: Nothing - it was ideal for us.

Pros: They were really kind and even made us dinner although the kitchen was officially closed. Perfect sightseeing recommendations.
Cons: There is a green safety light in the room which was a little disturbing at night. Didn't keep us from sleeping.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: We liked a nice, clean room and good quality breakfast all for a reasonable price. We felt welcome, the staff were polite and very helpful. The location is great for visiting a nearby national park.
Cons: The only thing was an emergency light placed directly oposite our bed which made it very hard to sleep as it was quite strong and on nonstop during the night. It might help to place the bed in a different part of the room instead.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was great. Staff was brilliant. Room was ideal with tea, coffee and ckean towels in the room daily.
Cons: Only has parking for a few cars
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The rooms were lovely and comfortable
Cons: The pub looks like it stuck in a time warp
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We received a very warm welcome, room was bright fresh and very clean. Nice fluffy towels in the shower room and a brand new TV. Very good value for money, would certainyl stay here again. Sadly we only tried breakfast, everyone was very firendly and accommodating.

Pros: Clean comfortable spacious room. Breakfast was good.
Cons: Shower wasn't very. powerful the decor in the bar area was tired and not very inviting. The owner was lovely but when I arrived I felt very conspicuous walking through the bar being watched by the locals I was on my own so felt a bit uncomfortable. I didn't feel able to go down to the bar in the evening.

Cons: Disappointed we were not told there was a wedding being held on a Wednesday! The music we could hear from our room until midnight, we could by shut windows as was a hot evening. Slept poorly, could also hear the air conditioning units outside the room, we didn’t have air conditioning!
10.0 Excellent

5.5 Okay
Pros: The rooms were clean and comfortable
Cons: As a wedding guest the service was terrible, the food was really poor. The venue has been refurbished and is lovely but the quality of the food and service of the staff was disappointing. . Wedding packages are expensive and I felt sorry for the family who had spent so much for their special day.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The staff were very friendly, the room was clean and airy , breakfast was exceptional, nice to have it bought to you
Cons: The four poster bed . Would rather had a normal bed as we were only stopping the one night didn’t ask to be moved. We had our windows open due to the warm weather , and it became obvious that every other resident stopping there choose this spot to enjoy their last cigarette , as we don’t smoke the smell wafting though the window was quite overpowering, and again had we been their for a longer time we would have asked to move .
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely location
Cons: Shower not the best

Cons: Parking was around the corner from the Inn. Not ideal but as the Inn is located centrally in the town this was unavoidable.
7.0 Good
Pros: Central location
Cons: There was a very loud children’s party from 6.00 to 8.00pm right below our bedroom. So loud the furniture was vibrating. The manager reduced the price by 50% but we really wanted to be staying somewhere that was peaceful. We had chosen the hotel because it was on the Celtic Cycling Trail and were tired when we arrived and didn’t want to be blasted by noise. The room was also very hot and the bathroom grout needed attention.

Cons: It was advertised as having a dining area but there wasn’t one. WiFi and breakfast were supposed to be included in the rate but weren’t. 9.3 Excellent
Pros: It is in a great place in Gwaelod Y Garth. The cottage would be good for a longer stay especially in the summer with good views over the valley. Excellent food in the Gwaelod pub with very friendly staff.
Cons: Really difficult to park in the tight lanes, without blocking someone else's property or the Gwaelod Pub car park. Had no direct number to contact the owner as there was nobody there when we arrived and did not know what to do. Fortunately the staff at the Gwaelod Pub helped us out and contacted the owner for us. Could not work the TV properly and another one did not have any reception, so children could not be entertained

Pros: We decided to stay here for the location of the hotel to the airport. Great location, right next to the airport, easy to get to and convenient with luggage and push chair. Hotel itself was fine. Nothing to complain about. Had a comfortable bed, wasn’t noisy and staff were helpful. Food at night was ok, not a great amount of choice and sold out of half the menu was sold out. Prices of everything relatively reasonable.
Cons: Nothing to not like. Exactly what it says it is.

Cons: Most things .. not easy found from airport no signs no obvious shuttle bus we walked till we found it thankfully not raining guy on desk seemed pleasant but thought it quite funny we’d walked ..didn’t tell us breakfast was over at 9.30 ..we came down 9.15 .. no sausages left a small spoonful of dried up scrambled egg and cold bacon .. as was there any fresh coming out .. said no and if they were to cook it we’d have to wait 20/25 mins .. didn’t bother .. sorry ..have to say the worst breakfast ever

Pros: Extre helpful and friendly staff. Great price. Lovely food. Comfortable beds.
Cons: Sadly nothing to do with the staff, but guests parking in the disabled bays when there was plenty of normal bays. I did speak with the receptionist and she was extremely apologetic and offered to get the works van moved.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: We did not eat at hotel
Cons: Unfortunately our bedroom window which was on ground floor would be a burglars delight. It opened right out so we could have gone in and out of window instead of using the door. We left the room to get a meal, totally oblivious to the window. But that’s the in,y negative thing.
10.0 Excellent

Cons: Loud music from the room above Terrible smell of curry throughout the hotel and bedroom
3.8 Mediocre
Pros: The breakfast was lovely as was the Lady that served us and the breakfast room was clean and tidy.
Cons: We arrived after a late flight and our room had a disgusting smell in it so we opened all windows, the room was dirty and there was a used shower gel bottle and top left in the bottom of the shower cubicle. The towels in the bathroom and bathmat were filthy and smelt disgusting so we had to share the towels left on the bed which were thankfully clean. The old armchair in the room again smelt like it had come out of a pub and should be thrown away. We tried to have our room changed but there was no one on reception.
7.5 Good
Pros: We had to be up early for a flight from the Airport so no time for breakfast unfortunately
