The location with the marche near by, nice little restaurant just across the street, the beach very close, clean room.
The ability to cycle everywhere safely No
The hotel was clean, new and had good facilities. It was near to the Marina and beach and not far from the centre of Pornichet for restaurants and bars in the evenings. Slightly bland, no real atmosphere in bar area despite it being a busy Bank Holiday weekend.
Thank you very much, we enjoyed the stay absolutely and the stuff was perfect, friendly and courteous. The rooms have been always cleaned superior by the chambermaid. best regard and thank you for this stay! Ulf Krueger-Janson
The hotel was modern, clean and staff friendly and helpful. The room was small for 2 adults and a child on a fold out bed.
The hotel is located some 50-100 m walk from the beach behind a large apartment building. The area of La Baule itself has only few hotels of 3 stars and above, and this hotel is therefore a suitable choice for a couple of days. Apparently there are no rooms with ocean view. The staff is very friendly, parking costs 10€/day, internet is free.
my grateful thanks to your reception for ther very kind assistance when we arrived early in locating a room
It was importent to me that the staff was able to speek english, that they were friendly and obliging. No
This was a very pleasant experience. Quiet, efficient, friendly + perfect location
Location, helpful staff, bicycles, bar by the pool Lack of dining facilities in the main hotel.High daily parking charges
Outdoor swimming pool at 30 C, excellent room and breakfasts. Able to walk onto the fantastic beach. Very good bar lunches in beautiful hotel Menu's for evening meals food very rich. But used very good restaurent in centre of La Baule,
Very nice location and beautiful old style building Expensive breakfast if one only wants a light breakfast. A simple continental offers (cafe + Croissant) should be made available for those who stay in the hotel.
Decor and comfort. The staff were attentive and able. Bedroom spacious and well equiped.
location and interieur service, kindness, restaurant and breakfast service! We would not recommend this hotel for private guests, its more a conference hotel and for events !!!!
The balcony on our room was huge. More like a terrace. Lovely The food and drink were very expensive - €24 for breakfast !!
This is a trully charming hotel, ideally located and with a relaxed, luxurious feel supported by excellent staff,
the ambiance the swimming pool was crowded. no seat available.
The location of the hotel is exellent. Free, good bikes available! The gardens of the hotel were not well maintained and the pavement in the garden was dangerous, uneven and wet/slippery near the bar! Drinks and food in the hotel are expensive.Parking costs 25 euro a day.
The staff were fantastic nd teh hotel very comfortable. We only had the breakfast, which we thought was decidedly average but very expensive. We looked at the dinner menu that seemed extremely expensive
Hotel looks perfect, nice stuff at the reception and perfect food Horrible stuff at the breakfast, not very good place, far from the city
The staff is very friendly and competent. Flexible about having children and pet. Great location and great town with very guest friendly people
Food excellent and staff very efficent. Very good location Parking in the hotel carpark should not be charged for
Peaceful hotel with large garden near seafront. Very helpful, efficient and welcoming staff. Quite grand, spacious, comfortable bedroom with a large amount of cupboard space and a large bathroom, with good bathrobes. Plus, windows opened fully - very welcome, as in a quiet area. It was a longish walk to the main restaurant area of La Baule. Unfortunately, the private parking is located 50m away, so a worry for anyone like us who is travelling by motorbike. But staff offered to keep an eye on it when we expressed concerns about security overnight.
Facilities Room was quite small
the kindness availability, flexibility and politeness of the staff the evening dress code is a bit tight to my taste but this was a minor inconvenient
very good hotel no
excellent staff. leisure facilities
position of hotel facilities good staff very good would be very helpful if breakfast could be included as part of the room rate as this was good but quite expensive
Exellent location. Close to beach. Within short walking distance of restaurants and shops. Good pools (indoor and outdoor)and spa. Good service. Room (superior)small. Breakfast buffet choice/service not up to usual Barriere Hotels standards. Did not spoil stay.
the association with thalassothérapie the absence of small dishes during the noon period (13-15h)
Superb outdoor pool, very good service
No where that served snacks and drinks throughout the day. Had to make a reservation for breakfast and tea the night before. Did not serve any food at lunch time, nor drinks. No tea and coffee facilities in the room
it was a very short walk to a nice beach.Children had an apartment while we had privacy of a double room.We left very early in the morning to catch a ferry and the reception staff were very helpful preparing our invoice . The girl came out to our car at 5.30 am to give us our paperwork and to say goodbye! No coffee/ tea making facilities in bedroom. Energy saving Lights in corridors went off too quickly and left you fumbling in the dark! Tiles in the shallow end of the Pool needed a good clean.
Our room was opposite the bar. We were kept awake by a large group of French Insurance Salesmen until 5a.m. This was totally unacceptable. There was a wedding on our last eve until the early hours also.
Peaceful, Relaxing, wonderful pool,
The welcome from the staff was friendly and efficient. The cleanliness of our room was very good.
the location near the beach Having to complete a very strict itinerary check on arrival
atmosphere, is a nice setting, swimmingpool the breakfast was good, but can be improved
friendly staff, good security
the swimming pool more tv channels
Very helpful and friendly staff. Very nice hotel. No dedicated bar staff on hand. However plenty of bars nearby.
This hotel is very very good, it was the best promotion. The parking is too little, for hotel such size is certanly short.
Was upgraded and had good view
Great position on the sea front, very comfortable room with a balcony overlooking the beach A nice Art Deco theme, with some original bits in the public areas. A fair walk to the centre. Staff attitudes rather lacking; when we checked in no-one asked if we would like to eat in the hotel - if they had we would have booked, but at the time we weren't sure what to do. Later on, when we tried to get a table for dinner, it was fully booked - no-one cared we were resident, just the normal French shrug. No recommendation of where we could go, so we had a wander about until we found somewhere to eat.
the room and location of the hotel
Proximity to beach and other facilities Possibly the parking - although we found a parking space right outside that was free!
The car parking was totally inadequate. No outside bar and limited air conditioning in the communal areas of the hotel. The wc in our bathroom was not attached to the wall.
Location close to beach Staff speaking limited English, breakfast far too expensive
Excellent renovated rooms. Parking space too small for such size hotel - had to park a car on nearby street, where also was very hard to find any free space in the evening.
The room is very clean and comfortable - second time I have stayed at this hotel The food prices are high, although the quality is good. Next time I wil eat out
In the original advertising on your website - it offered free WiFi service - this is not the case
Holidayed Heating took several days to sort-out
I was overall very impressed with our stay at Hotel Le Christina it has a perfect location overlooking the beach and close to all amenities with free parking at the rear of the Hotel, All staff were very helpfull . I would certainly recommend this Hotel.
The location of the hotel right at the heart of La Baule I would have liked to have the facility of having access to the internet on a hotel computer since I didn't take a laptop on holiday
Proximity to beach, with sea view bedroom being essential. Excellent breakfast, good value for money. Nothing
Staff very helpful
Excellent view of the sea and beach. Not a very comfortable bed.
The hotel is ideally positioned in the central of the long (9km!) beach and near some very nice restaurants and shopping area. The hotel staff is very nice and helpfull.Even though the hotel has nothing luxurious it is very clean and has absolutely reasonable prices. Nice add on are the balcony. Some parking spaces are available for free! There where no towels available at arrival day. So we received some tiny little towels on both days...
I requested a hotel with a car park, the hotel has 34 rooms and about 6 parking spaces. We had to park on the public road.
very central - well positioned - good view from verandah bed lacked size and comfort - room lacked comfort - no aids to relaxation
The location is wonderful - exactly what I was hoping for - right on the beach and still many recognisable features from the film M Hulot. The hotel inside is very clean and the room was lovely - cool and the most comfortable bed ever.
The staff were very helpful, and the hotel was in a lovely location right on the beach. The two rooms we booked we far too small to make the stay in this hotel comfortable.
The location..it really was by the beach!, And the restaurant, which was excellent
A lovely hotel in a great location - right on the beach with windows that opened wide to hear the sea at night and look out in the morning. It helped with clear sunny blue skies. Breakfast was good too. The room was spacious and comfortable. Unfortunately the restaurant was closed the night that we stayed - but staff told us of alternatives as we checked in, which proved to be good.
The meal on the terrace and the memories from the film (Hulot) Staff a touch amateurish in the restaurant
M. Hulot vacation spot with small town beach atmosphere. Good restaurant on site. Friendly and helpful staff.
location very small room
Excellent location overlooking beach, decent parking facilities. Very modern facilities and excellent breakfast The service during evening meal was a complete and utter farce, not just our table but the 7 tables near us had problems with orders not turning up, huge delays, some orders turning up twice. The rooms carpets were unwalkable barefoot due to some ancient torture device that was passing for a carpet, the rooms were also far too noisy and should have been soundproofed better.
great location. right on the beach rooms a bit small, we wouldn't stay for more than a couple of nights
Being on the beach, breakfast, nice restaurants nearby, friendly service everywhere. Nice walks. Clean sea water, test results displayed.
The room and the sea view
Both the hotel and its bedrooms appeared extremely new and contemporary and would have been well suited to a four star hotel. This was the smartest three star that we stayed in out of four hotels during our week in France. The position directly overlooking the beach was great and we upgraded to a Sea view for an additional 10 euros, which actually gave us a suite with sitting area/sofa bed rather than a standard room. There is also a large free external carpark & internal carpark at the rear of the hotel. Breakfast was basic for 11 euros per person, so was a little of a let down. The flashing Casino signs outside were off putting though did not reflect the hotel interior.
accessability to seafront convenience
The hotel was superb, food remakable, views over the sea. The bar area requires refurb and seperating from the noise of the casino. The village is quiet at this time of year but we used it as a base and had a great time.
It was a nice hotel, with a wonderful view of the sea, and good for walking. It was very comfortable, and clean, with good food, and for us free wi-fi and indoor parking. we enjoyed our stay very much and would visit again
The Hotel was very clean and relaxing. We had dinner on one night and breakfast one morning and we had absolutely no complaints. We will be coming back. We have absolutely nothing bad to say and there was nothing we didn't likeabout Hotel du Beryl.
Friendly staff and very clean rooms
The location is great and locals freindly. Tea/coffee making facilities in room would have been nice.
The evening meal in the restaurant was excellent A bit disappointed there was no music in the bar on Mon and Tues night. There was in 2006.
Very good family room, two joining rooms with loads of space & tastefully decorated, each with it's own bathroom. Comfortable beds, well equipped bathrooms & a great view. Brilliant access straight onto beach. Great bar setting with views up & down the beach.Happy, smiley, staff especially Claire. Good parking at the hotel. A really pleasant stay and would definatly like to go back some time.
Very helpful staff, very comfortable and clean room and excellent breakfast.
Pleasant hotel with secure parking. Helpful staff. Excellent next door but one restaurant was very good for both value and food.
The proprietor was extremely friendly adn we felt very comfortable. No
Clean and comftorbale rooms. Room was quite small.
free car park and available
Staff were very friendly and the hotel was very clean for a budget hotel The hotel is on a busy road which is noisy until late at night
Excellent location, private secure car park a big bonus as parking difficult in La Baule. Hotel staff friendly and very helpful. Room was airy and well decorated, very comfortable bed and large screen t.v. Bathroom good with lovely walk in shower. Room was quiet and we slept soundly. Breakfast was very good value. Have already booked to go back to this hotel in October.
The staff were charming and extremely helpful. The hotel was well situated in the town and only a short walk to the beach. Easy car parking.
the decoration of reception is pretty nice....the room is tidy and comfortable..what most important is the hotel is near to main commerce street and the Beach
Spent a pleasant hour or so in the bar with the owners - we talked about various things including our trip using our pigeon French and their pigeon English - a real joy!! None whatsoever
The location was good and the Superior room was very comfortable although small. The hotel is used for functions which means that it is overcrowded at times and guests are not properly catered for.The breakfast selection is quite limited.
The staff were very helpful. Lovely hotel and the room was very clean. It would be great to have coffee making facilities in the room.
it is a lovely little hotel beautifully decorated and in a great position for the town centre. I would say this hotel would be great for one night or two but no more as the room we had and bathroom was very small. For one night we could cope but would not have enjoyed it for a week. room no 15
Elegant facilities with tasteful decor, very helpful staff.
The silency in the hotel and rooms The small bathroom - all comfort, but just to small to relax
Good location, interesting room with excellent bathroom facilities. Nice sun roof. Discreet staff. No lift, which might inconvenience elderly guests. Parking no problem in late October, but could be tricky in high season.
Fantastic will go back but will book directly as despite the implication on your site you gave no discount on the rate
The hotel was good but parking during peak holiday time is a nightmare and you can drive around for ever like most other cars looking for a space.
oceanfront room extra cost of oceanfront room, charged 20 euro x 2 people x 2 nights for breakfast we did not have
Close to the beach; Rooms are quiet. Small rooms; Hardly any facilities in rooms (only bed + shower, do not expect more); Ham and fruit at breakfast not fresh. Limited choice at breakfast.
The hotel staff were very pleasant, the rooms were comfortable and clean. The hotel was in a good location close to the beach and shopping and eating areas. The restaurant served good value gourmet meals.
the staff at the hotel could not have been more helpful and every effort was made to accommodate our choice of room and guidance on where to eat etc was offered freely - La Baule is a very charming place to stay and this hotel suits the location the plumbing in the newer building on the opposite side of the road was more reliable
The location was excellent, hotel has parking facilities, food and service first class. Nothing
The hotel is in an excellent location, the staff is friendly an helpful, and there is free parking right at the building. Though the bed was comfortable, the room was so small as to feel confining and inconvenient. There was little space for unpacking. Also, I prefer a bathroom where all plumbing is in one space; this room had a WC.
The hotel was right on the seafront with its wide sandy beach. Rather a boutique type hotel. Our room was situated under the eaves of the hotel, three floors up rather rickety stairs. We had a great sea view from the bed. Only a couple of restaurants in the area.
A very friendly, helpful staff. Clean room. Convenient for the station (10 minutes max walking even with cases). Great for the beach - there were several families in the hotel. A good restaurant wth unusual and interesting food. Good quality, and quantity, breakfast. A nice little balcony to our room overlooking a quiet street and private gardens with pine trees. Our room was small and, in common with other hotels we stayed in, without drawers - no problem, but you just get that sense that it's a little unhomely. No coffee and tea facilities - hardly a hardship, but something we are now used to in the UK. Expensive breakfast which again seemed to be the case in all the hotels - but we ate well to get our money's worth, and it was good. Restaurant a bit pricey. We felt the holiday season perhaps inflated the prices a bit above what the hotel was worth, but if you aren't too fussed about prices, this was a very nice stay.
Pleasant and helpful staff; magnificent sea view from the room; ideally placed for the huge beach (just over the road); excellent breakfast buffet; sparkling bathroom with big bath towels, comfortable bed. Although there are not many restaurants nearby there are a few in walking distance or the "petit train" runs to and from La Baule up to 9pm or so. Parking close to the hotel was almost impossible, though it is easy to "drop off" people and bags - we parked (free) at Pornichet rail station which is about 4-5 minutes walk. Sea view rooms get a lot of night-time traffic noise unless you close the windows. Restaurant for dinner was expensive & we didn't eat there.
Great location across the street from the beach, walkable distance from the train station (5-10 min, based on how much luggage you have!), the jacuzzi/spa was nice, and it was very quiet. The staff also provided a table fan for air circulation without us even asking for one, as it was quite warm on the 3rd floor. The restaurant attached/associated with the hotel was not as wonderful as hoped for for the price paid. And there was zero vegetarian food offered, despite our reservation ahead of time.
good welcome and rooms
Very pleasant and convenient for the beach. The room was a little small. No lift.
