Pros: The staff and the food really good! EXCELLENT!!!! The place is peaceful, you feel really confortable. The owners make you feel at home, they are really friendly and take care of you all the time. Is the perfect place to stay long time because after enjoying all day around, you can have a home made dinner, that It seems a Michelín Restaurant.
Pros: Perfect location, in the centre of island. Very comfortable room. Nice View. Breakfast buffet, with good variety. We also had a chance to enjoy home made food by Franceau on one evening, was excellent and we highly recommend guests to take advantage of this facility. We will definitely come back.
Pros: It was the prettiest accommdation in this island. They have a beautiful garden with amazing ocean view rooms. We stayed for 6 days. The room condition was always good and clean. The hosts are very friendly and always welcoming. They gave us lots of informations which were really helpful. We‘ve got great memories and we would like to recommend this lodge to everyone who goes to this island.
Pros: Very kind and helpful owners Excellent food Nice, clean property
Pros: This property exceeded our expectations by many ways, Christelle and Franceau were very accomodating and helpful. Both the suite and the food offered for breakfast as well as dinner were perfect. We enjoyed beautiful view directly from the suite. We got some valuable tips for the island. Would definitely stay again! You will get maximum value for money here.
Cons: The location may be hard to reach - I would always recommend getting in touch with the property Manager (Franceau) to arrange your arrival, they will be happy to arrange any other transportation you may need! We ended up taking the bus ourselves one day and all went just fine - you just really need to be shown the way first by a local! :))
Pros: Fantastic views! Villa was very spacious with care and attention to detail, themed based on the travels of Franceau and his wife. Delicious breakfast, buffet style with eggs available to order. Option to eat in table d'hote in the evening. Beer from the bar plus home made gateaux piments whilst watching the light fade out at sea and the stars arrive was magnificent.
Cons: The single track, hilly road to the lodge made your heart beat faster and hope that you didn't encounter another vehicle - that said we did and lived to tell the tale! Worth looking at google maps to accompany the directions to avoid a wrong turn.
Pros: We spent two weeks in Mauritius and this was the best place we stayed. Everything is perfect. The owners Franceau and Christelle are the most superb hosts along with their team of staff. The food was sublime, the lodge and view from the room is spectacular. Can't recommend this place highly enough!!
Pros: Simply wonderful place!! Amazing view!! Special thanks to Franceau and Christelle during the stay. Ze breakfast time was my favorite, ze "crepe" was simply delicious! We loved it. Gr8 gardening and comfortable room. Highly recommended.

At Domaine de La Paix Sedim Ltd you will find a garden and a bar. An array of activities can be enjoyed on site or in the surroundings, including fishing, hiking and diving. Pros: Food was delicious but choices extremely limited. Views were amazing.
Cons: Difficult access to any close beach and still close beaches were not usable
Pros: Extraordinary place for enjoying beautiful holidays. Absolutely friendly hosts leading immediately to a family atmosphere. Living the island spirit of Rodrigues!
Pros: Staff/owners service, not only within the hotel, but also with regard to suggesting and arranging trips around Rodrigues and surrounding isles; superb breakfast; design & comfort of the room and the rest of the accommodation.
Cons: The price of peace, I suppose: It’s secluded. Which I mostly liked, but the road to the place is bumpy, quite steep and pitch black after sundown; you need a (phone) flashlight or headlight to find your way if you walk back after a meal & a drink in Anse aux Anglais (or from anywhere else). That said, Christophe (owner) is supremely helpful with transport arrangements. So really not much of a minus in the end.
Pros: The warmth & hospitality of Christophe, Ingrid & Andy. Domaine de la Paix is truly peaceful & makes you feel at home. Would definitely come back to both Domaine de la Paix & Rodrigues
Cons: That I didn't plan to spend mote time there.
Pros: Everything was amazing and Christophe was the perfect host with lots of information and suggestions
Cons: The off road track leading to the property
Pros: This property is outstanding. The room was large, spacious, and clean. The breakfast was very good, and the host and hostess were friendly and accommodating. We had a room on the second floor with a kitchen. We had a wonderful view from our room. We cooked in every night and ate out on the balcony. We have no complaints about this property. It is one of the best B&Bs we have ever stayed in.
Cons: Can't think of anything.
Pros: Peaceful place, beautiful view, spacious, clean and well decorated rooms, amazing home made breakfast and dinner. Great service. Renting a car is recommended and can be easily arranged from there. We loved our stay there!
Pros: Staying at Domaine de la Paix was effortless. Christophe and his wife made our stay very easy indeed. The accomodation was lovely and is located in a beautiful spot with 360degree panoramic views. Christophe provided us with an airport transfer and also assisted us in sorting out a car, and advised on places to eat and visit. The breakfast was delicious, fresh homemade food including quiche and brioche. We couldn’t have asked for a nicer stay. Thank you to you both.
Pros: We had a lovely time at Domaine de la Paix. The house is beautifully located, with great views, very nice and spacious rooms, with all comfort. But most of all, Ingrid and Christophe are great hosts who really care about their guests! Homemade bread, cakes, quiches and jams, fresh fruit salad for breakfast. And the dinners!!! (optional 3 times a week) Ingrid is a great cook, it was absolutely delicious! On the days without dinner, Ingrid and Christophe offer an aperitif, to talk, to meet with the other guests, to plan and reserve whatever you wish for the next day. They know the island very well and supply the best tipps. We stayed longer than we had planned...:-))) Absolutely recommended!
Located in Rodrigues Island, Le Macoua Guest House is near the beach, a 4-minute walk from Pointe Coton and within a 5-minute drive of Trou d'Argent Beach. Featured amenities include a 24-hour front desk, multilingual staff, and luggage storage. A roundtrip airport shuttle is provided for a surcharge (available 24 hours), and free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Our stay in Le Macoua was just lovely: wonderful very helpful and kind host, excellent location in a tiny village just two steps from one of the most beautiful beaches of the island, great food, super clean and cosy atmosphere. Highly recommended!
Cons: Would suggest putting a mosquito net.
Pros: Great position, great food, and above all such a welcoming family, thanks again Guilmette and Natasha!
Pros: Guilmette was perfect. She had a hard work with us, we were several days without electricity... Fantastic meals, the ocean 100m, empty beach
Merlin Guest House is a property set in Saint Francois. Some rooms feature a kitchen and a private bathroom. Free WiFi is available and on-site parking is provided. At the guest house, all rooms are equipped with a wardrobe, and certain units offer a terrace, or a seating area or a kitchen. A continental breakfast is available daily at Merlin Guest House.
Pros: Everything! The hosts were excellent and the room was perfect for our 4 night stay. It's only a 3 minute walk to the most beautiful beach on the island. The bus stops right outside so it's easy to get around without a car. The only thing to bear in mind is that if you don't speak French, communication with the hosts will be extremely limited. We should definitely have learned the basics because I'm sure it would have been even better if we could have conversed with them. Nonetheless, we still had a brilliant time.
Pros: Amazing experience in Merlin guesthouse. The place is run by local people, who will be very helpful and kind, will give you advice for everything you need. My apartment was superb, living room with kitchen, room with a comfy bed and bathroom pretty big, and equiped with sat tv, aircon, hot water, WiFi. I was in half pension, so got an amazing breakfast: fruits, creppes, toast with butter and jam, cheese, fruit juice, coffe, cacao drinks.. very complete. Now the dinner was even better! They cooked for me different plates every night (I stayed 5) including octopus, the local specialty, chicken, prawns; always accompanied with rice and salad; with also a first course and dessert. I can say that was better than some restaurants I went in the island. Don’t miss this! The place is 2min walking distance to a very nice beach, and is also a starting point for the best trekking in the island (from St.Françoise to Graviers); also near to a bus stop (I highly recommend to take the bus to move around, pleasant experience) 100% recommended.
Cons: nothing to comment
Pros: The Guest House is located in a quiet location just few steps from the beach of Saint François and very close to the magnificent Trou d'Argent and Grand Anse, probably in one of the most beautiful areas of Rodrigues. We chose the half-board solution, a good choice as there are very few restaurants in the area. The room that has been assigned to us is spacious and equipped with the essentials. The bed is small but still comfortable. Sufficient the service with towel change on request. Breakfast and dinner are held together with the other guests of the Guest House thus allowing to share experiences and cultures. Breakfast is with sufficient choice between sweet and savory and the dinner is fine with local cuisine style. The host was lavish with information and kindly organized us the boat excursion to the paradisiac Île aux Cocos, thank you. Certainly the quality/price ratio is of a high standard, we recommend to anyone this Guest House.
Cons: Small negative note: the wifi, we recommend the staff to improve the wifi service in the rooms.
Pros: Excelent cook, dinner was very deliciuos. Very friendly atmosphere in this house.
Pros: staff was friendly and helpful, although tired after months of having guests; food very good. good base to hike the coast.
Cons: problems with water supply in room; wifi only available in the common area.
Pros: Warm welcome, super relaxed, fantastic located, quite near beaches, food was just amazing,
With a stay at La Giraudiere Lodge in Rodrigues Island, you'll be within a 5-minute drive of Rodrigues Tourism Office and Port Mathurin Market. Featured amenities include a 24-hour front desk, multilingual staff, and luggage storage. A roundtrip airport shuttle is provided for a surcharge (available 24 hours), and free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: This property was located in the hills of Port Mathurin. The guest house staff was amazing and made us feel at home from the moment we arrived. She arranged for our taxis as well as booked reservations to local restaurants and arranged excursions at our request. I strongly recommend staying here when you travel to Rodrigues.
Pros: Very helpful, clean, elegant and friendly place with nice food.. A pretty garden. Dolaine was very helpful and dedicated, rising very early each morning to make croissants etc. It was lovely to see the view over Port Mathurin to the sea.
Cons: Would have liked a fridge and a few more electric sockets in the room. (The lack of these is understood with an eco lodge, though). I did not realise that paying by card involved a 20 euro bank fee.
Pros: Relaxing. Great food. Pleasant helpful owners.
Pros: Very cosy guesthouse with amazing views. The hosts are kind and helpful. We spent lovely 3 days in there! Our regards!
Cons: Basic facilities in very poor repair. No security at night. Hopeless Wi-Fi. No tissues, paper towels, milk etc d hurry utensils. Cheers didn't fit. Curtains were missing, bathroom windows are broken. Hopeless
Pros: Warm hearted hosts who run a comfortable and neat and tidy place and who have a genuine talent for friendship and hospitality. The food is fabulous.
Cons: Tea and coffee making facilities plus a hair dryer would have ben nice extras. Otherwise can't think of any improvements.
Pros: The hosts were very welcoming. We had a nice and clean room with a great view from the balcony. The dinner was delicious, using fresh and local products. A big thank you to Dolaine!
Pros: Breakfast was delicious, french style Very friendly owners Great few to Port Mathurin Calm and clean room, comfortable bed
Pros: Natalie, my host was very friendly and accommodating. She cooked a wonderful dinner. The room was very comfortable, clean and spacious.
Cons: No coffee/tea was provided in the room and the location is remote so getting supplies becomes difficult. There is also no wi-fi and no emtel cell service so friends and flight information communication was not possible and I had to be contacted through Natalies cell phone. Water is a problem when showering with little or no pressure and no drinking water was supplied at E60 Euros a night, which is a small ask. The breakfast was bread and a pancake so if you are gluten intolerant this could be a problem which is not mentioned that you should bring your own alternate breakfast.
Pros: Very friendly owners and staff. The room was cleaned every day, the breakfast was excellent and the facilities were fantastic. Would highly recommend.
Cons: Local dogs barking - but this would happen anywhere on the island and wasn’t too bad.
Pros: Henrico and the rest of his family looked after us very well - transport was arranged from the airport and nice home-cooked meals can be provided (paid separately) in the evening if required. The location is great, 5 minutes from Gravier beach and only about 30 minutes from some of the best beaches in the island. Anse Bouteille is spectacular and was our favourite. Rodrigues is a very laidback island - a great experience if you are looking for something different.
Cons: There is no Wi-Fi anywhere yet, which is partly a blessing but does mean that you are completely disconnected
Pros: Lovely little place. We will be back!
Pros: Friendly and helpful owner
Cons: Nice and clean
Pros: The neat and clean and deco of the room. The well.kept garden..good breakfast with the amazing lemonade feshly made..but above all the host ..Nathalie is a great host always smiling and ready to help and welcoming. Enrico was very kind as well and his family are great. The place is not even 5.mins away from the quietest beach...and so lovely to walk there or just sit all day. There is also a bus stop very close and the bus goes to Mont Lubin and port mathurin..so perfect location for a quiet and refeshing break.
Pros: I liked everything. Ti Graviers is located near the beaches and the bus stop. The garden is beautiful. Nathalie and Cherylane, thank you very much for your welcome and kindness.
Pros: The view the breakfast the place There was a very good restaurant just at 5 min by foot named la terasse verte . Very good
Cons: The curtains did not block the light in the morning wich can incomodates certain people.
Set in La Ferme, 5 km from Caverne Patate and 10 km from Île aux Cocos, Mamy Cherie offers accommodation with free WiFi, air conditioning, a restaurant and a garden. There is a fully equipped private bathroom with shower and a hairdryer. Guests at the lodge can enjoy an Italian breakfast. Mamy Cherie offers a terrace. A car rental service is available at the accommodation.
Pros: The hosts are very charming and the whole vibe of the place is exceptional, probably the best place I've ever stayed in. The food was to die for and unbelievably fresh. The fact that my wife is vegetarian and we don't speak any French or Italian was never a problem, the hosts went out of their way to cater to us ( the other couple who was staying also helped in translation). Everything, from the daily trip suggestions , Coco island boat ride and the wonderful chats that we had at the dinner table made us feel so welcomed and loved. The only time we were sad was at checkout.
Cons: Nothing about this place can be unlikable
Pros: You are warmly welcomed and immediately feel cosy within local ambiance. Lovely decoration. Amazing cooking, the host is a chef - strongly recommend to take dinner option. Great advices to enjoy the best of the island. Thank you!
Cons: No water kettle in the room.
Pros: The calm, cleanliness and warm welcome
Pros: The welcome, hospitality, the amazing & exquisite food, the beautiful breakfast. A perfect score 10/10
Cons: Maybe the breakdown of prices should be displayed (breakfast, dinner, drinks...) to allow the client to better plan a budget whilst there
Pros: Superb and welcoming hosts, island ambiance with European touch
Pros: Everything exceeded our expectations. The host was extremely helpful and friendly. The surroundings were quiet and peaceful but close enough to e.g. shop and towns. We highly recommend this place and accommodation.
Pros: the location, the overall facilities and set up
Cons: we could hear all noises from upstairs drains in bathrooms were clogged
Pros: One of the best places we have ever stayed. We were two couples and spend 3 nights in Rodrigues and as soon as we arrived were greeted by such a friendly, helpful and warm couple, Robert and Charmene who made us feel at home throughout our stay. Without a doubt I could say it's the best place to stay in Rodrigues. They even organised a Toyota Hilux pickup which was waiting for us at the airport and we even dropped it at the airport when we left. It's a must to hire a vehicle if you want to discover the lovely island of Rodrigues. Our hire vehicle was even cheaper than if you had to book it yourself directly - thank you Charmene. So when you book to stay here get your host to organise the vehicle hire as well. The property itself is exactly as it is in the photos displayed on the website. It's a large house and we had the whole of the ground floor and the owners live upstairs. It was very quiet, peaceful and in a nice residential area. There are 3 bedrooms all double beds with nice living rooms dining table and kitchen. One bedroom has an onsuite bathroom and there is a shower bathroom and toilet as well. The kitchen was well stocked to cook but we hardly used it as there are so many superb restaurants on the island which we frequented daily. Robert knows all the good restaurants and with his recommendations we ventured throughout the island and had good meals wherever he recommended. Eating out is inexpensive with lots of seafood available on the island. The property is about 5 mins drive to the capital Port Mathurin and with a hire vehicle we were out from mid morning till evening. The host are a busy working couple and even after we arrived back in the evening and if they saw us Robert would pop down to find out how our day went and offered us more ideas where to go and what to see for our next day. All in all a first class host and you will feel very safe living here in a gated house.
Cons: Nothing. Everything was perfect.
Pros: I liked the welcoming of the hosts charmene and her husband robert, me and my family felt like home. The morning breakfast was amazing with the fried eggs , sasuge , toast ,jam fresh juice and coffee. The property is clean , the rooms are cozy with AC in each room. We have requested for extra two single beds and they have provided it. Clean sheets with towels on each bed. Beach towels have been provided.there is parking to park your car. The kitchen is equipped with all nessecary tools to cook your own meals.the hosts kept water and milk in the fridge for us. The sea is across the property where you can sit and enjoy the view. The property is 10 min walking distance from the grocery and resturant. The hosts where so helpful provideding us with usefull information regarding visiting places, resturants , and they have booked us a tour to cocos island. It was really an enjoyable experince statying in their house.

An array of activities can be enjoyed on site or in the surroundings, including hiking, fishing and island excursions. Massages are available upon request for a surcharge. Auberge St Francois is a 20 minute walk from Trou D'argent and Anse Bouteille.
Cons: Windows not close well.
Pros: The staff was lovely. They provided all facilities when you travel with a baby (a cot, a high chair, the use of the kitchen to prepare baby food). Breakfast was good except the bread that was a frozen bread.
Cons: They could have made an effort on the bread for breakfast, if no fresh bread available at least they could offer toasts that the guests can toast as they like. The bed was not comfortable and pillows were extremely hard. Water in the bathroom was brown sometimes and otherwise it was salty water, not great at all when having a baby.
Pros: Great staff, great food, great value for money
Pros: Ravane House - very quaint, a bit dated but exactly as you would expect for a beach cottage. Perfect place to chill. Comfortable and clean. Beautiful beach on the doorstep and stunning areas for long hikes.
Cons: Terribly overpriced for what you get. Airport pickup was an hour late, internet is so slow as to be unusable, no tv, no air-conditioning, reception locks before 9pm! Nowhere to eat in the area. The list goes on
When you stay at Chez Ronald Guest House in Rodrigues Island, you'll be near the beach and within a 5-minute drive of Pointe Coton. Featured amenities include a 24-hour front desk, luggage storage, and laundry facilities. A roundtrip airport shuttle is provided for a surcharge (available 24 hours), and free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Location, food, and owner s very helpful in organizing trips and rentals.
Cons: Shower s pressure a bit low
Pros: the ambience
Pros: The surroundings are very good: beautiful beach, nice landscape. Amazing beach Trou d'Argent is just about 30 minutes of hiking from the guest house. A very good restaurant just in front of the guest house, a kiosk & a bus stop within 3 minutes of walk. The hosts are very nice and hospital people. We felt very welcome. In the evening they cook home made and very tasty food for the guests and everybody is eating together at one big table. It's a lot of fun. The price is cheap.
Cons: The room was very dirty. It looked like it wasn't clean for a week. The bathroom with toilet in the room was not really separated by the wall, but just by some construction going only until the half of the height. It's not very pleasant to stay like that.
Pros: Excellent Host, Fabulous Food, Great Value for Money Close to beach.
Pros: I liked the location. Short walk to a great beach. There was plenty of home cooked food and plenty of rum. Basic continental breakfast. The woman of the house spoke English and was informative about taking buses and sightseeing.
Cons: I specifically booked a hotel that stated there was WiFi in all locations. My room didn’t have WiFi. If I held my phone against the wall in one corner, I could sometimes get a signal. When I asked about this, I was answered with a shoulder shrug. After some other guests left a few days later, I was moved to a room with WiFi. While I thought the bed was comfortable and clean, the room was quite outdated and fixtures were broken in the bathroom.
Pros: Sea is close. Arlette n Ronald are two fantastic persons n hosts.
Cons: No complaints
Pros: Safe, cozy, humble and wonderful hosts. Both Arlette & Ronald are very nice and helpful persons. They are caring. The food is absolutely yummy, fresh & generously served. The beach is one of the best in Rodrigues. So close you can hear the waves crashing. You get the beach to yourself the whole week. Transport very accessible. Rent a scooter or take a bus. Highly recommend. Was my 3rd visit & I am ready to go again anytime!
Cons: Everything is perfect except for slow internet which is an issue in whole Rodrigues.
Pros: Simple and nice place close to the beach in one of the best places of Rodriguez. Arlette and Ronald are helpful and nice guests. Dinners and breakfast are simply wonderful with a variery of food which changes every evening and with a lot of chats which gave a special taste to our holidays!
Pros: Value for money with breakfast included. Clean rooms. Priya is a good cook and a good host. Nice breakfast comprising of bread, butter, peanut butter, shredded cheddar, a yummy homemade jam and tea or coffee and local fruits - depending on days. We were lucky to get bananas, grapefruit, atemoya during our stay. The two year old twins are really cute trying to imitate mum and dad cooking and cleaning. Priya proved to be very reassuring on the day we were leaving. It was cyclone class 2 and we were worried we'd be stuck for a few more days as the children would miss school and hubby had an important meeting the next day. As it it we did catch our plane in time. Thank God for that.
Cons: When doing the booking, it mentions air conditioning. To note that it is at an extra charge (not that much) and subject to availability when we went (The 3 new bedrooms are going to be equipped soon -currently with fan). Fortunately the air conditioned room was available when we were staying there as my son would have kept showering to combat the heat (we were there in full summer) - not to mention complaining about my choice of accommodation had it been without air con. As it is not much harm apart from slight panic on my part on arrival before we moved to the air conditioned studio. The latter is equipped with a sink.
Pros: It was a pretty quiet place, our very smiley host gave us suggestions of things to do in the area, and our room was clean. The property is near a bus stop and close to the airport.
Cons: The WiFi connection was not good, we had to pay for (bottled) water, and moments before leaving we were asked to pay 100 rupees each for a ride our host had given us (but had never explicitly told us we were going to be charged for). This ended our stay on a bit of a sour note...
Pros: Neat and tidy.
Cons: She only need a little fridge inside the room, the rest all ok.
When you stay at OASIS VACANCES in Rodrigues Island, you'll be on the beach and 10 minutes by car from Rodrigues Tourism Office. Featured amenities include luggage storage, laundry facilities, and an elevator. A roundtrip airport shuttle is provided for a surcharge (available 24 hours), and free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: - Prompt replies from the staff before we reached. - The staff were very friendly with my 2-year old, specially Robinson. - Meals were served on time each day. - Dinner menu proposed were quite nice, with a different meat/fish each night. - Better to rent a car to get around, much easier.
Cons: - Breakfasts were quite dull with regards to local context. Could have more variety with fresher products instead of bottled fruit cordial, toast instead of plain bread, more local products. - Room look & feel could be more lively, with local touch instead of colors used :) - Pool was not inviting, did not look clean - cannot swim in front of the hotel
Pros: pleasant staff, good dinners,
Cons: the beach is not good, you need car for transport to best beaches internet only in the hall
Pros: The hospitality and warmth of the staff were exceptional. We felt safe and secure in the facility, which was new and very clean. The Creole food, especially the local fish and octopus, was very good and we were happy with our choice to have all our meals in the restaurant.
Cons: It was difficult to get the hot water in the shower working. Wifi weak or non-existent in the room but OK downstairs.
Pros: I booked 3 nights for relatives and they loved their stay. Food was excellent and staff extremely professional. Recommended for children.
Pros: What a treat this small family run hotel on the tip of “pointe du diable” where all the boat trips to Ile de Coco start. The staff is very kind, help you with a smile and try their best to accommodate any request. We found it difficult to choose accommodation for Rodrigues, (not many reviews for this hotel yet) but were extremely happy with our choice. The rooms are new, good shower, sort of a metal closet you can close as a safe (but no need, felt extremely safe, left a tip for cleaning but they left it next to bed again. Nice balcony with direct sea view. Good ventilation options so could sleep without airco. Great bed. The breakfast is varied, always with some fruit, coffee, tea, homemade sugarjam, cheese and fresh bread, sometimes eggs or sausage or baked stuff. Dinner was included and just brilliant: big portions of homemade creole cooking. Every day 3 courses and just really nice. Rodrigues style creole fish, chicken, octopus salad, fresh vegetables gratin etc. With just 8 guests they still made the effort for a Creole buffet, and a dance group showed Rodrigues dance one night. Twice we were offered a (free) lift by the owner to Port Maturin, and there is an hourly bus as well with a stop right at the hotel. Lots of contract cars like taxi drive by which will get you anywhere as well. Negotiate a bit off, but for 6-10 euros you are at the other side of the island. Ile de Coco with a sailing boat is a must. Booked through hotel and had a lovely old wooden sailing boat with a great captain and a fresh island lunch for 1200 rp. Stayed for 5 nights.
Cons: Internet is slow on all of Rodrigues. The little beach before the hotel is public beach, which is lovely for the locals who have their (children) parties there. The locals are loud and like their music loud, but hey, you wanted to experience the real Rodrigues, right.
Cons: First, the approach road to the hotel is horrible. It's a very bumpy and scary ride from any side of the island you decide to go. Second, we paid for bed and breakfast for 2 days, but breakfast options were as limited to 2-3 items everyday (cereals, fruits & eggs to order). For vegetarians specially, this is the last place you should book, there are no options for breakfast apart from the one's mentioned above. NOTE: We had bugs in the cereal, and cockroaches running around everywhere. Third, our first night (out of 2!), after half a days tour (starts at 11 am ends by 4) around the island (overpriced by the managing lady for 2500 MUR, which included showing around of their capital town which is pretty, but so tiny, you're done in half hour and then followed by a drive to the tortoise reserve, excluding the entry fee), we came back to a room flooded with water from the washroom!! Although they moved us to the next best available room, the new room we were shifted into did not have any hot water. Since we visited in June, it was getting pretty cold to go without a hot water shower. Fourth, There's no facility of calling the reception, as the rooms dont have any in house telephones, and are located at the bottom of the hill, it's always a climb uphill to talk to anyone.concerned, or even for a bottle of water. All in all, there are many other better places to stay in Rodrigues, if this is the last resort, try moving around your dates of visit, but definitely avoid staying here. Big disappointment. :(
Pros: The hotel was situated in an excellent and tranquil location, with an excellent sea view. The room was very comfortable, quiet location clean, with tea/coffee facilities.
Cons: There's nothing we didn't like.
Pros: beautiful location, wonderful room view, the food is just amazing, the best homemade desserts and breakfast brioches ever ....the owners are always making sure you have everything you need and communicate the love for their place and their island too.
Cons: nothing...it's heaven on earth!
Pros: The staff were very helpful and sydney did everything to meet all of our request.
Cons: The place is Very peaceful with a mind blowing view. The room was clean even the bathroom was ok. Fresh fruits for breakfast.
Pros: View, atmosphere, conviviality (with other tourist - everything is done so that we meet each other. Really friendly), excellent food, unique experience.
Cons: It goes with the fact that the place is unique/hard to reach but last km is rough. Especially if it just rained. Area is incredible but with small children it can be complicated to occupy our self/walk around. Windy.

Pros: The guest house is located in a really quite zone..
Pros: Excellent welcome. Food was exquisite, varied and local. Facilities were very clean. And the hosts very helpful and eager to talk about their traditions and culture. A most enjoyable and enriching stay
Pros: Large comfortable air conditioned room with direct access on to terrace where we had our breakfast. Use of well equipped communal kitchen and lounge. Cleaned daily and linen and towels changed every 3 days. Plentiful breakfast of toast, jam, butter, cheese, egg, juice, tea, coffee, milk and fresh fruit including mangoes from their tree brought to kitchen every day. Marie Noelle and Richard , together with their 3 adult children, are the perfect hosts. Provide local information, arrange boat trips, car and scooter rental. Marie Noelle is a superb cook and on request, will provide an evening meal including a rum cocktail, main and dessert for 400 MUR per person, eaten with the family in their own home. Guesthouse is 2 minutes walk to bus stop. Also proximity to village shops. Hiking paths nearby. Riviere Coco retains its authentic Rodrigues flavour. No tourists other than those staying at guesthouse, woken to sound of chickens, goats, sheep and cattle.
Cons: Need to use bus or drive to get to Mourouk beach about 30 minutes away for good swimming. Beach walking distance from guesthouse is dirty and rubbish strewn with animals grazing on it.
Pros: Friendly owners of the Guesthouse
Cons: This Guesthouse is located at a very local place. Far away from the beach. Too expensive for the service and the place
Pros: Cleanliness Advice from the owner was allowed to stay late after checkout...till 8 pm without extra charge
