Clean, comfortable, large rooms. Friendly staff. Quiet.
Friendly staff, convenient breakfast, and new hotel. They provided us with two travel cribs for our babies at no cost. Smoke-free building was a huge plus as well. Price was a little higher than other hotels nearby. We're still happy we chose this hotel.
It was nice to have hot coffee, tea, and hot chocolate in the lobby as we spent a couple of cool days. The room and facility was clean and the staff was friendly. Breakfast was great! There was no refrigerator in the room. I understand why you wouldn't want cooking in the room, but most people travel with snacks or have leftovers from restaurants that they need some place to store them safely.
Close to where I needed to be. They aloud smoking and dogs. The room could have been a lot cleaner, for example the mirror on the bath room door was so dirty that you could write your name on it. The sink drained very slow. The floor was dirty upon arrival. The coffee maker in the room was nasty, it had lint all over it. More towels would have been nice.
Nice and clean, easy to find but nothing special.
For the money it was good value. It's a good 2 star and could be rated 2 1/2. As a guy I found it to be fine for my needs.

Clean and large rooms, friendly staff, free breakfast, located on main street
Most staff very courteous, breakfast bar, coffee/tea bar, king bed very comfortable, wall controlled air/heat, bathroom fixtures and cleanliness, cleaning staff When I went to the breakfast bar one staff member challenged if I was a guest. Carpet stained and worn. Hotel just getting old.
Cleanliness and attentive staff. First room we were assigned smelled like mold - front desk staff reassigned us to a new room that was fine. Staff was very helpful!
Everything was great Everything was great
The bed was one of the most comfortable I've ever stayed in and I've stayed at 4 seasons, Ritz-Carltons, and Hyatts. The Bellagio and Palms hotels were probably equal, but those aren't in Port Richey, FL.

The staff was awesome!
real hot breakfast with lots of choices. 2 beds in our room, pool, friendly staff. spa broke first few days there, shower curtain disconnected, and not walkable distance to stores
This is a good place for tradesmen in the area who need a place overnight if too far from home...staff was nice but boisterous...couldn't hear the TV or table conversation at breakfast for the hootin' and hollerin' (and raucous laughter) at the front desk...no consciousness or concern of the impact on the guests of such behavior...hotel maintenance men wandered in and out of the breakfast area drinking coffee, juices, etc., just as if were guests...reminded me of the casual lack of sophistication of some seedier places in Greece, Spain, etc., that I've visited...(the onsite restaurant that was advertised is closed and 'For Lease'...with no close-by alternatives) See column one....
I like the location, it was very near my trade show. Staff were friendly, check in/out was easy. I like that it's on the canal although I didn't get to explore the property. If I stay here again I'll ask for a room near the back, away from the busy highway. My room faced hwy 19 and the traffic noise was significant. There were tiny ants in the room. The entire building looks good but gives the sense that it's past its prime.
Size and comfort of bed. Restaurant was closed. Room could be cleaned more (vacuumed around edge of room). There was lots of dust around there.
Was lead to believe no pets were allowed, but they were. Dog pooh all over the grounds.
The swiming pool I dont think they honored the price you quoted, we ended up paying $79 per night, i couldnt find the e mail, but i thought we were quoted $69 per night, could you please research and get back to me, Thanks Dale Hanson
Could not close bathroom door while sitting on commode. Very shoddy room. No vent fan in bathroom. Rambunctious children milling about. Very very poor for over $200.00 per night.
Comfort, peace, friendly staff, great breakfast, good location - 5 stars for the value for money N/A
Quiet Old. Falling apart.
Clean, comfortable hotel. Convenient location. Ok breakfast. "Fitness room" is a joke - barely a walk-in closet with a treadmill.
The only thing likeable was location. The lobby smelled, the staff was cursing, the hot tub looked like watered down milk, the pool had floating debris, the grounds were full of trash, the room next to ours had 'visitors' throughout the night (possibly she had 4 or 5 'clients'), fire alarm was pulled and the very noisy bar spilled out onto the grounds being way too loud and drunk, woke in the morning and found cockroaches occupying the bathroom.
The setting by the marina is lovely. Close to stores for convenience. Pool is larger and nicer that you would expect. Staff goes out of their way to assist in any way. Maintenance and Housekeeping staff are friendly and efficient. Nice free breakfast daily. My grandkids were welcome to join me for swimming. This is a great value for the money. Older rooms are in need of sprucing up.
The view of the marina. It was clean enough and comfortable enough. Very happy with my stay. The breakfast was not worth getting up for and the lounge was too dark to eat in
The hotel has a nice view of the Marina. It was dirty. I booked a non-smoking room and when we arrived late at night, the room reeked of cigarettes. There were cigarette buds behind the furniture amd within 5 minutes of my stay I saw FIVE baby cockroaches. Needless to say we left the hotel and did not stay the night.
Probably the best Mattress and pillows I ever had at a hotel Room was dated, wall paper peeling off walls, carpet padding was worn out under carpet creating pockets in the carpet, I twisted my ankle in one of them. Looks like they were renovating some rooms next to the one I had.
Everything is close by. New wood flooring was nice to look at. Free wi-fi. Staff was friendly and helpful. The floors were sticky from apparently being waxed and made our feet dirty to walk on. Antiquated TV and decor. When attempting to take a shower, half the water still came out of the faucet. The wobbly table was fixed with a scrap of carpet under one leg. Blanket on the bed was barely thicker than the sheets. The heater sounded like a car was in the room with us all night. Outlets for charging phones and laptop were all out of the way or required furniture to be moved. Walls have no sound dampening. Whole room felt outdated not just in appearance but in function, as if nothing had been fixed or replaced in a long time.
Front desk was very nice Too many bugs for me
We chose this specific hotel while browsing online like most people and were trying to find the closest one to the family we were visiting since we were going to be spending every day with them but wanted our own get away at the end of the day. The location of the hotel is great in the respects it's in the middle of everything. But, the location is definitely the only thing that brings people to choose it and the fact that it's dirt cheap. But with dirt cheap you're gettting what you paid for, an out of date hotel with carpet, beds, baths, sinks, toilet, showers etc that were around when the dinosaurs walked the earth. Do not be fooled by the water front pictures of the marina, or any other pictures. In real life it's less than appealing. Our first impression of the room was being greated with the strongest smell of cigarette smoke I have ever smelt (and we were in a NON smoking room). We immediately called the front desk and demanded we be switched out of this awful room, which we were without an issue. But, we were refused a room on the refurbished side of the building claiming it was "all booked" when there was a total of 10 cars in the lot the entire time we were there. Thankfully the room was only used to shower and sleep since we had a very busy week ahead of us and we're gone all day everyday. But even being there to only shower and sleep was not what we had hoped it would be. This is not the type of place you can just relax and be lazy in for a day or even a half day to recover and rest. I definitely would not stay here again. If our reservation wasnt non refundable, we would have immediately left and went to another hotel down the road.
The view was nice. The TV was from 1980. The sheets had burn stains in them. The staff was slow (and rude, see below), the walls are paper thin, the toilet barely flushed, and the air conditioner only has two settings; Off and Arctic. I knew Saturday night I would be up late, so I got a late checkout on Sunday. They still woke me up at 11, then turned off my keys. I had to go get my key re-coded, and ended up having to wait 10 minutes for the receptionist to get off the phone. She was busy answering questions about the area to a POTENTIAL customer. I think they should worry more about the customers already paying. I had to get my key re-coded 3 times (in a 4 day stay) and every time it was at least a 10 minute wait while the receptionist was on the phone. The pool and Jacuzzi were both closed for renovations (and being from Canada, I wanted to be in both!) but no where did it tell you this ahead of time. Even when checking in, they didn't mention this. I didn't find out until I went to hop in the pool, then had to go ask at the front desk. All-in-all, there was nothing good about this place except for the view. The price was high, compared to all the other hotels in the area that had cheaper prices but offered the same accommodations. I will never stay here again. In the future, I will go to the next town over, which has much classier hotels, at similar prices.
The coffee. First our reservation hadn't been processed so they didn't know where to put us. Then our AC was off in the room, which smelled musty and felt damp, it took over 2 hours for our room to cool down. Then the restaurant was only open for breakfast,6:30-10:30am. There were dead bugs on the floor, the plumbing was loud, the AC sounded like it was ready to explode. When the toilet backed up we were asked to come to the front desk to get a plunger (they had noone to handle this problem), There were no working ice machines for the guests, you had to go to the front desk to get ice and the main lobby area to buy soda. Internet access was not available in our room. IThe room just didn't make the grade and I felt we were misled by the advertising for this room.
Its the nicest hotel close to Port Richie. Its an alright place to stay in a pinch. It could have been alot cleaner. I dont think the carpet in my room had been shampoo in years. I would definitely not stay here with children as prostitutes were being chased off by staff all night.
The lady at the desk was very nice. I asked about late check out and she said. I will put you in for noon checkout. Very over priced and did not meet up the the reviews. most things had been recently painted maybe 1-2 years. Walking across the floor i could feel wood? lifting under the carpet as I walked. The bathroom where kind of new (2-4 years). the toilet was so short that my 5 foot tall wife even said something. LOL The TV remote was missing, When we went to the office, it was locked and we could not find a button to ring. :( The bed was very uncomfortable because is sank very low... :( The entire motel smelled like curry. I was woken at 10:45am by the gentlemen at the front desk asking me was I staying another night? Explained to him about the late checkout. He said there is nothing in the books. I told him I will be out by noon. Went over to their complimentary breakfast, they had coffee(which i do not drink), a drink dispenser and The only way I would tell anyone to stay there would be for $29 a night.
The price was right for what you get. Bad satellite.
I liked the price I paid. I didn't expect much for the price, say cheaper towels, harder mattress, tv quality, etc.,,,but cleanliness is a must! Our non-smoking room had 2 ashtrays in it. There was an old bike with a flat tire chained to the post directly outside our door. The a/c cut on and off and the toilet ran all night unless you turned the water off at the toilet valve...but the worst thing of all was the room smelled so much like pee that we left in the early hours of the morning without brushing our teeth or showering. We couldn't sleep at all with all the maintenance issues cutting on and off much less the room smelled like a port-a-let. I "got far less than what I paid for" which wasn't much....
The location on Rte 19 was easy to find and a value. The staff was accommodating and the room was made up daily and refreshed without any concern. A microwave oven and refrigerator were welcome accessories. Overall, the value is apparent but our stay was confortable and met our needs. An update is long over due. Our toilet was loose at the floor and the chrome has long worn off the bath and sink fixtures. A towel rack and larger counter in the bath room would be big improvements. The complementary breakfast was standard fare but the waffle irons have issues.
Not great but good Neighborhood kindA scary
Big lobby, bar, gym, laundry room, free breakfast, comfortable rooms that are very clean. What more could you want? Not a whole lot of stuff in walking distance, as far food and entertainment.
Location was right in a great area. Hotel was very clean. Staff was more than courteous. Very helpful with my questions. Breakfast was excellent. Breakfast area was clean and a attendant was very efficient.
The hotel was clean. Friendly breakfast staff. Fire alarm went off in our room for no reason & the staff did not know how to silence it. Housekeeping never came to our room. After a long day I had to call the front desk at 10PM to ask for clean towels and washcloths; we were brought towels and hand towels (no washcloths).
Someone isn't spending enough time managing the help. It's the little things that add up in places like this. The housekeeping left a lot to be desired. There was no Kleenex in the bathroom Kleenix holder and someone had left an open hair conditioner bottle on the countertop with the other stuff.Over 1/2 of its contents was already gone when I arrived. Those are my experiences.
The rooms were renovated and decent for the price. There was too much activity. It was obvious that there were lots of people who live at this hotel. Those residents were not shy about talking about illegal activities VERY loudly. I had to call the front desk at 7am. When the staff person answered he had been sleeping. He also seemed irritated that I "called so early". I WILL NEVER STAY HERE AGAIN!!!
Nothing The room smelled and police were coming in and out of parking lot
The front desk was friendly My room had bed bugs and the carpet felt wet. Everything was so outdated and dirty. Save yourself the time & unless you can only afford $40 for a night you should go down the road a little ways to the Red Roof Inn which for $58 (3 night minimum cash only price) a night it is easily worth the money imho unless u like living with bugs. This review is real. I paid for one night at Kings Inn & I left before midnight. To go find another place for the night. I booked online thru kayak and paid $60.
