large room with high ceilings and double bathroom looking over a monastic garden; very private the hotel's booking service was confusing and even though it advertised a special discounted rate we were overcharged for our stay. after a number of exchanges, the hotel was still unwilling to refund us. the location is not ideal for exploring Rome and the breakfast is rather spare in an unattractive basement room.
Very noisy room on the street. Very hot - with no air conditioning or even a fan. We stayed for two nights - they did not clean the room during that time. From the train station it is about 1 km to walk - taxis do not want to bring you there (as it is too close for them), so to walk with luggage - not an enjoyable experience!
Wonderful views, peaceful, clean accommodation within easy reach of tourist attractions and lovely, friendly atmosphere. Maybe a little bit time restrictive - The curfew was a little early for a holiday - perhaps midnight would be more appropriate, considering the theatre performance in Sorrento meant pre-booking a taxi which cost 22.2 euros to travel about one mile! I also met a new friend at a nearby hotel but had to rush away which was disappointing.
Quiet. very spacious and and tastefully decorated room. absolutely fabulous views.good breakfast.Always a smile from the Nuns road was narrow with no footpath
This lovely convent is situated on the cliff top with glorious views of the coast towards Vesuvius - breathtaking! The nuns were very welcoming and our room was large with comfortable beds and spotlessly clean. Public transport good - 10-15 minutes walk to the Circumvesuviana station, and a local bus stop outside the door. Would stay here again and recommend to anyone wanting to stay in this area.
Sitting at the terrace and looking down to the sea.
Friendly nuns. Lovely roof top sitting area. Would appreciate a kettle and tea-making facility in room. 1st night ( of 4) had a stiff starchy towel. Felt a little constrained by house rules (quiet/11pm 'curfew' etc). Hot water supply for showers always seemed inadequate. I think internet use here should be free. Credit card facility malfunctioned.
It was a very nice hotel. The nuns were very friendly. The building and grounds are beautiful.
This is a quiet, beautiful hotel with a very special atmosphere thanks to the nuns who run the place. The view from the terrace is breathtaking, and the rooms that face the sea also have a spectacular view. Our family room was reasonably spacious and very comfortable. Breakfast is only served between eight and nine, which was fine in our case, but means limited flexibility. The street outside the hotel is a thoroughfare with hardly any room for pedestrians.
Wonderful view from our room and perfect location on the gulf of Naples. One of the nuns is speaking english. Quiet atmosphere. Personnaly we found no inconvenience but be aware that the hotel is run by nuns with implications in terms of noise or opening hours.
Overall good vibe and design throughout. New and clean. Comfortable private room. Great value. Great rooftop terrace. Very reasonable meals offered in the evening. Easy to get to Sorrento by either train or by walking. Good amenities. Got a little noisy at times. Still undergoing some construction projects. Not much selection on TV. Breakfast not very good.
Great hostel/hotel. Great for young travellers on a budget looking for dorm accomodation, but also great ensuite double-rooms for couples - cool design and layout, with some great areas to hang out in. New, clean and very cool. The rooftop chairs and views are well worth lazing around in all day, if inclined. Highly recommended.
Nothing 1.very bad breakfast 2.indifferent hotel staff 3.noise from the street 4.remote from cnter of Sant'Anegllo, not to mention Sorrento or Napoli 5. No receipt after my check-out and payment
A wonderful convent conversion done with style & immagination with amazing fittings. Has to be seen to be believed .This is a world class hostel with hotel rooms onthe top floor.Excellent housekeeping.food,& staff.nothing too much trouble No
It was accessible to Sorrento and it was very clean. It was too catered for a young crowd and the staff were cold and unfriendly.
We liked the Interior finishings. The rooftop patio was incredible, and the price was very reasonable. We stayed on a single room, so the experience was more like staying in a boutique hotel rather than a hostel. You definetly want some form of transportation as it is not a reasonable walking distance to the main area of Sorrento. The train station is reasonably close, but that can be a hassle
